Summary: As the Gryphon announced, there is an event. Everyone is now living as if one regret they formerly had no longer exists.

[Misty rolls her eyes at that greeting, sliding onto a stool next to him. She picks up the whiskey, downing it and holding up two fingers to the bartender as she leans in against Gren's side.]

I wanted to make sure you hadn't drunk yourself into a stupor. I see you're still cranky as ever.

[Without Hell to leave Misty a bit more nervous at first, and thankful after, she is much more the sharp tongued woman that had thrown witches out of her home and sicced revived gators on their hunter.

She's also not the least bit intimidated by Gren's attitude, even if she knows he could easily destroy her.]

I guess asking for a kiss is too much?

[Fucking rude, Misty, that was his. ]

I'm fuckin' fine. See? Not goddamn dead or lying in a fuckin' gutter or nothing.

[He's certainly more tetchy, but Misty still means a lot to him. ]

It might be.

[He clearly doesn't mean it, though, leaning in to give her a brief kiss.]

[twirlier]

[She turns slightly, looking him over curiously, eyes narrowing slightly.]

You know, you're right. You're fucking fine. [She growls it back at him.] Still a jerk, and not fall over drunk. So I guess you're okay.

[She worries though, now that Shawn is gone, he's down one person he worries about and she knows he needs his tribe as much as she does. ]

You going to make me drag you home? Like unconscious and on the floor?

[oneagainstall]

Don't know why you'd expect anything fuckin' different.

[He really does, even if this version of himself won't admit it. The loss is sharp, but he has people back home. He hasn't experienced the worst of his losses. It's mad ehim harder for it.]

I'd like to fuckin' see you try. You'll probably break a goddamn hop or somethin'.

[twirlier]

[Despite the gruffness, she still worries about him. He might be tough, and she knows he's a monster, but she knows he can care as well and she's not willing to let him suffer if she can help it.

Though she leans in close, grinning as she whispers to him, playing around and trying to push buttons.]

Don't even have to touch you. Just...

[She holds up her hands and wiggles her fingers.]

Telekinesis is useful against giant monsters, you know.

[oneagainstall]

[He lets out a rumbling noise-half growl, half frustrated sigh.]

Yeah, yeah, we're all super fucking scared of the goddamn witch. I'm fuckin' quaking.

[Yeah no, he has ever reason to be worried about witches, he really should stop running his mouth off. ]

[twirlier]

As you should be.

[She certainly sounds smug as she says it, amusing herself if nothing else.

Not that she has any plans of doing anything of the sort to him, not in the least. Not unless she has to. For his sake.]

You're the only one that has no reason be scared though. Unless you do something stupid.

[Well, with caveat, maybe he should be.]

Yeah, well, the rest of them don't know what you can do.

[And of course, that's not a caveat he can really fulfil on even his best day- and he has significantly less of those lately. ]

Depends on what you define as stupid.

[twirlier]

There's a reason I make sure they don't all know.

[Because it benefits them, him as well as her, for her to keep that secret until they need it.]

Piss me off enough to make me want to hit you.

[So given her past, lie to her enough to make her cry or kill her. He might do the former again.]

You know you get a bigger freedom than most though.

[oneagainstall]

Makes sense, dont want them getting wind of that shit.

[He'll (lovingly) flip her the bird.]

Well, that don't take much at all, fuck me, at least make it a challenge. But yeah, lucky me. I get the golden fuckin' ticket.

[twirlier]

[She reaches out when he raises his fingers, catching it in her hand as if she might move to hurt him, to bend it back. Instead she brings his hand to her mouth and kisses the tip of his finger.]

Maybe I like watching you work for it, Grendel. [Fairly purring his name, smirking at him.] How hard will you work while I fight not to give in?

[oneagainstall]

[He lets out a rumbling chuckle that edges a little too close to being a growl. Were he in his true form, it absolutely would have been one. His eyes narrow at the kiss, but a smirk remains on his face all the same.]

Careful, Day. Onea these days you might regret pressing my fuckin' buttons so much.

[twirlier]

[There's something about the power that can be felt in moments such as that growl that centers Misty. He isn't anyone she has to fear around the coven, should they arrive, and he's not someone they can abuse and bully like so many others. She likes that about him as much as so many other things.

Including feeling secure in sniping at him like she is.]

One day I might. You're right.

[Her fingers curl over his.]

But if you're going to keep growling, I'm going to keep doing this.

[And she leans in, kissing his cheek.]

[She's utterly safe around him- something very few in the mansion could state themselves. Around her, he's all bark and no bite. He chuckles, his smile sharp as she leans in to kiss him. ]

Not much of a threat, that one.

[twirlier]

[She winks at him, smirking as she moves her hand. The bottle of whiskey coming closer and pouring him a new shot just by the telekinesis of her magic. The true threat from the witch, not that she's likely to ever use it against him.

But she can't help but to tease when he speaks about the lack of a threat.]

That's because I like you. Besides, I like it when you growl.

[He catches the movement out of the corner of his eye- he knows, were that ever to be turned against him, it would be a pretty terrible time for him. He doubts she'll ever do so, though. Not without reason.

He lets out another rumbling chuckle, this one a touch closer to a growl again- humouring her as he leans in to press a kiss, followed by a little nip to her jawline. They're in a public place but like hell if he gives a shit.]

Some people might call that a little fuckin' masochistic.

[twirlier]

[And yet, were she ever mad at him, it is likely not magic she would use against him. Not that actually hand to hand she stands a chance against him, but she also knows that is how she fights when she's angry.

Though he makes that sound, sending a shiver through her. Just as there is with the nip. Maybe others would think she's nuts. Especially anyone that has seen his true form, but she has no fear of him in this form, or his true one.]

Truth be told, I think I'm a lot masochistic, but I also have faith in you, Gren. Always will unless you give me reason not to trust you.

[She has every faith that he won't give her a reason.]

[Oh, of that he is well aware. She could fight fiercer than any Fable, if she so chose to- with just her fists and her willpower. He flashes her a smile, a little more gentle this time. Less toothy.]

Don't plan on doing that any time soon.
