Summary: As the Gryphon announced, there is an event. Everyone is now living as if one regret they formerly had no longer exists.

[ Chloe's regrets hadn't manifested into anything life-altering; at least, as far as she knows. The rest of the mansion has more or less seemed to have lost their damn minds from where she's standing, but since no one's getting hurt, she isn't going to stand in the way of another one of Wonderland's less obnoxious events.

She's not sure she wants to stand in the way of an eight-year-old kid drawing on the walls, either, even if the mom in her is quick to chastise. Watching the girl just makes her miss Trixie though, her own daughter, right about the same age, worlds away. ]

You know... [ Chloe kneels down next to her, examining her sparkly painted artwork. ] Wonderland is probably the only place you can get away with doing this without a grown-up yelling at you.

[icklewaitin]

( Clementine turns toward Chloe with a very knowing smile on her face, and then she nods. )

Exactly! Wonderland always cleans up after itself so no one really cares, and I don't have to clean like I had to the one time I drew on my bedroom wall. ( She holds a paintbrush out toward Chloe like Wanna join? ) I could never do this before....

I guess we should take advantage of it while we can.

[ Chloe glances down at the paintbrush before she takes it, stretching it out to glob a little bit of paint on the wall. Take that, Wonderland. ]

I'm Chloe. What's your name?

( She smiles when Chloe decides to join in. Not every grown up would even if this place does clean it all up by tomorrow. )

I'm Clementine.

Hey, both our names start with C! ( She exclaims before she paints the letter into her painting. ) You're not getting mad about the paintings, and you're joining in. That's pretty cool.

[thevulnerability]

Yeah, well, I am pretty cool.

[ She tilts her head, smiling to herself. ]

At least, my daughter thinks so. She's about your age, and she would die if she knew I wasn't yelling at you for painting on walls.

[ Trixie would be so jealous. ]

[icklewaitin]

( Clementine smiles too and gives her the thumbs up. ) Totally cool. ( pause. ) Really?

It's too bad she's not here too! We could all paint the walls together, and there's not really many people my age around. I wish I could meet her. ...what's her name?

[ Chloe gets a faraway look in her eyes, smiling fondly. She's always been torn about Trixie - she misses her desperately, but the idea of her being in Wonderland is too terrifying to comprehend. ]

Her name is Trixie. You'd probably like her - she's a troublemaker, too.

[ That part definitely comes from her dad. ]

I really like her name!

( Trixie. Clementine knows people don't like kids being here. She gets why too. It's not safe. She usually has to hide when they're Events or find someone she knows, stay close, run, hide.

But it'd be cool to play with more people her age. She hasn't in awhile. )

Yeah, sounds like we'd have a lot of fun together! ( She leans over and whispers: ) Especially since most rules don't count in Wonderland. I drew on all the walls in my room too. Those don't wash away but I can still do it.

[ Chloe snorts a laugh at Clementine's little secret, although there is a deeper level to what she's saying that gives Chloe some pause. Still, she leans close to whisper back to her. ]

You're right, most rules don't count here. [ That can both be good and bad. ] Only the important ones matter. And if the Mansion didn't want us drawing on the walls, it wouldn't give us paint and markers, would it?

[icklewaitin]

They don't! And no one follows through on the rules. No one gives homework or anything. I kinda miss school sometimes though. ( Clementine frowns a bit, folding his arms across her chest. )

Exactly! Wonderland wants us to decorate everything. Otherwise it'd be way too boring.

I don't know about boring, but I'm glad you're having fun.

[ Wonderland is a terrible place for children, but the ones here at least have made the best of it. ]

I'm willing to bet there is someone here who would be willing to teach you a few things so you don't have to miss school too much. What's your favorite subject?

I love reading and art and science, and I love basically anything that's not math.

( Cause blech. :| )

What about you? I mean, when you were in school

I didn't... Really go to a normal school.

[ Being a child actor makes normalcy kind of rough. ]

But I liked drama class, and reading, too. [ Although, sometimes she wonders if she only liked drama because that's what her mom decided she would like. ] But? I also hated math.

[icklewaitin]

( Clementine tilts her head curiously even as she high fives Chloe cause math-haters! YAY. )

So you want to a special school?

( her mouth parts in confusion. ) What's drama class?

[ Chloe happily returns the high-five before she answers Clem's question. ]

Not special, really. Just... different.

[ She's a little surprised Clementine never heard of drama class before, especially because she seems like the kind of kid who would love it. ]

Drama is acting. Like, in plays or on TV? And that's what I did when I was a kid. So, I couldn't really go to a normal school.
