Summary: As the Gryphon announced, there is an event. Everyone is now living as if one regret they formerly had no longer exists.

( Clementine continues to stir the bowl in front of her, and it's got all kinds of candy bugs in it. It's pretty gross tbqh but she gives it a taste and makes a face and continues... stirring. )

Yeah?

( long, long pause. )

I know about the Events. I've been here awhile. Why?

[ She hides a smirk at the face, then clears her throat. ]

Well. I think there's an event happening right now. And it means I don't remember you as just a little girl. I've always thought you were almost grown up.

[icklewaitin]

( This is enough to make Clementine drop all her tools and utensils right there. Her mouth parts as she stares in confusion, but she gets Events- Well, kinda. They can be confusing like how Michonne doesn't have her katana. Or any weapon at all. )

You mean like I'm old? I didn't think I'd ever get to grow up. I've been in Wonderland so long!

[ God, she's cute, and for a while, Michonne just can't get it out of her head, the Clementine she knows who has grown and gone through hell, with this version of her. It isn't fair, that her world is so fucked. ]

Well not old, then I'd be really old. More like older.

[ Said with a small smile. ]

And I can't remember ever having a big sword.

Ohhhhhh. You're not really old, but you are older too!

( Clementine smiles softly at that. )

You've saved me a few times from big monsters with your sword. ( Long pause. ) If this is an Event, maybe none of that is real.

( Maybe they aren't. She gets how these Events work now after all. )

You know what? We'll definitely find out. So for now, since I don't remember, why don't I...make us some sandwiches because I really want one and you can tell me more about what I'm like when I have a sword.

[ She's not eating the bug soup and honestly, neither should Clementine. It is damned cute, though. ]

What kind of sandwiches are you going to make? ( Clementine opens her mouth all like Oooh with a tiny smile. )

Well, you're very sweet, but also very tough. Kinda like a superhero. Like you have to deal with monsters all the time so it's just like everyday for you.

Hmmm, well. I was thinking...peanut butter and jelly - a classic. But with potato chips inside. Ever had that before?

[ Michonne smiles softly. ]

It's how I always ate mine growing up. And I can't remember a lot of monsters. I like that you think I'm tough, though. I think I'd be just about anything to keep you safe.

[icklewaitin]

...what? You put potato chips inside the sandwich?

( Clementine looks so shocked by this thought. She's willing to try though. She's pretty into weird creations that way. )

Yeah, I believe that. I knew I'd always be safe with you.

[thesamurai]

[ As long as Clementine knows. There isn't a version of Michonne that wouldn't do anything for her. ]

Yeah, right inside! It makes it kinda crunchy. And you know how peanut butter sticks to the roof of your mouth? The chips help with that.

[ She gets to work, putting peanut butter on both sides of the bread, then jelly on one side and plain salted potato chips on top. Smooshing it down, she then cuts it in half on a plate and scoots it toward Clementine before making her own. ]

Okay. Tell me what you think, but be honest. I can take it.

[icklewaitin]

( Clementine lifts the sandwich up critically, surveying it within her hands. Hrm. She lifts the sandwich close to her mouth. It smells good, but the truth is in the taste.

She brings it in closer and takes a bite. Crunch crunch, crunch crunch. )

Mmm, that is good!

I'm surprised. ( she didn't expect it to be so tasty. )

Surprised? That hurts, Clementine.

[ But her smile means she's only teasing as she begins making a sandwich of her own. ]

Besides, have I ever led you down a wrong path before?
