Summary: As the Gryphon announced, there is an event. Everyone is now living as if one regret they formerly had no longer exists.

( Clementine lets out a Hmm like she's trying to figure out if that makes sense or not, but also, she's eight. So she doesn't actually know. )

You don't sound too sure! And I can reach... maybe.

( She tries for a different branch with her leg. Stubborn as always even at this age. )

I like snow forts! I like to hit people with snowballs. I'm a pretty good shot- ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh- ( her foot is on a lower branch but the rest of her is on a higher branch, and she's now got her arms wound around the higher branch cause it feels like she might trip. )

...I shoulda listened!

Yeah, I am perfectly aware of what a good shot you- OH SHIT.

[Clementine why do you have to be The Most Stubborn. Normally he finds it unnervingly charming, but right now, with the likelihood of her falling and breaking her neck, he decidedly does not.]

Yeah if you could maybe do that, that'd be great.

[He clambers up and across to her, reaching over to wrap one his his (right now, thankfully) stupidly long arms around her middle.]

Okay, there, we're getting somewhere. Can you shimmy across to me? I got your back.

Swear!

( Yes, Clementine's going to call this out as she's basically dangling here, even if she actually looks a bit scared right now. She's pretty brave for an eight year old, but she doesn't want to fall.

That'd probably hurt a lot. )

Okay! I just thought I could do it.

( but she's relieved the second he is able to grab hold of her, keep her safe. she does some shimmying in his direction. )

Yeah, I got it. I'm shimmying, and I.... made it. ( to him, and she's immediately relieved. phew. this feels much safer. ) Now what do we do?

[The thought of Celementine calling him out on a swear is so funny he almost laughs himself out of the tree. Almost. Nevrously chuchkling, he regains his grip.]

Hooo-boy that was a good one.

[He hooks an arm around her, pulling her close. Safe. ]

Right. Wrap your arms around my neck without choking me, please. And them I'm gonna climb us down.

[icklewaitin]

( Clementine raises an eyebrow like What was a good one? Except she's too focused on not falling to the ground so she doesn't act it out loud. She's just grateful to not be so wobbly anymore. )

Okay!

( She does as he says, wrapping her arms around his neck, and then glancing down at the ground. )

You really are good at climbing even though you are so tall.

[He makes sure she's actually safe and secure, before starting his somewhat awkward descent. A smile tugs at his lips.]

Why, thank you for that backhanded compliment, Dear Clem. I'll hold it in my heart forever.

( Clementine says with a smile, because she doesn't actually know what a backhanded compliment is or means, and sarcasm kind of goes over her head at this age, but she understands he's thanking her. )

Maybe when summer comes people will help me make a tree house like I had before.

[He laughs awkwardly. Because wow, he hopes Wonderland doesn't keep her as eight forever. That would be awkward as all hell for everyone involved. He won't voice that though. ]

Well, I'm sure we can do something. I'm not exactly super handy with a hammer, but I could probably put up a couple walls or something.
