The answer is, of course, Wonderland. But Juliet has yet to see an event in quite as full swing as this one, and she's yet to grasp the kind of psychological warfare that has befallen so many people here and will continue to.
"Are you okay?"

Jesus, he's been here for nearly a whole damn year. The fuck is THAT about? He looks at Woody, frowning.
"I dunno. I guess. I forgot how fuckin' mad that made me. "

Juliet has seen a lot of emotions in the last few days, but they all seem to boil down to one thing. Sadness. Regret. It makes sense why she isn't trapped herself, because she's never been in any situations that would elevate such a passionate reaction.

It takes a while for Gren to say that- unhappy, rumbling, reluctant. He's so so angry at Woody. He fucking ruined everything. And yet...yet he knows Juliet's right. It's not just about that.
"I dunno. He fuckin' broke Holly's heart. He fucked everything up when it was already really goddamn shitty," but but. "...But he don't got nowhere else to go. I dunno where he is now. He just...fuckin' left town. Vanished."
Without a soul to count on, when he was already feeling pretty low. Gren was angry- he's still angry. But he still has Holly. And Woody is alone.

It's Gren's feelings she's preoccupied with now, and she reaches out to place her hand gently on his arm.
"It's not your fault. No matter what you said, it was his choice to leave. You shouldn't blame yourself."

The fact he allows Juliet to touch him with chewing her face off speaks volumes for how much she means to him. He exhales gruffly.
"Yeah...I guess. I mean...shit, he chose to fuck everything up, he didn't have to do any of it. He knew it'd end this way."
He fucking knew. But hey, at least there's a door to escape from now, hazzah.

Luckily, Juliet is patient. And stubborn.
"We all makes choices sometimes that we know might hurt ourselves and others in the end," she says gently, completely unaware of how that statement will one day hit close to home for her. "But even if it won't fix anything, it's never too late to forgive."

"Guess so. He's long gone now, anyway."
Gone off into the mundy where Gren can't follow. Not that Gren would chase him- not at all. He needs to stay at home with Holly. He's literally all Holly has now.
"C'mon. Let's get the fuck outta here."
no subject
"Yeah, okay."
Juliet knows Gren has a long way to go when it comes to compassion - not for others, even, but for himself. The fact that he has let her in and allows her to care about him, and the fact that he has what he does with Misty, has gone a long way in her seeing how good Wonderland has been for him. All she can do is hope nothing else changes too drastically and he ends up worse off.
But at least they are out, and on their way to better things. And she's perfectly willing to keep helping him get out of any situation she needs to.
