+ THIS is the Bad Place! - MINGLE LOG +
Who: EVERYONE
Where: The Neighborhood!
When: 4/26 - 4/30
Rating: PG-13, warn if going higher - no swearing by event law!
Summary: Catch-all log for The Good Place event!
The Story:
Welcome to the Good Place! Your character, tragically, has died in their world. They might not remember how (or maybe they do!) but it’s okay either way because conveniently they have earned enough points to go to the Good Place when they die! They’ve earned a house that they have been told is perfectly suited to them (it is probably not, but who are they to question the universe?!) in an absolutely delightful and quaint little Neighborhood with a frozen yogurt shop on every block. It’s almost irritatingly perfect!
Most importantly though, someone will be living with your character. Someone very, very special - their soulmate, hand-picked from the billions on Earth! Sure, it may not be who (or even what) they expected, but this is what they’ve earned from the good life they’ve lived in your world. They deserve this! They really, truly do.
Everyone is welcome to add details to what exactly is in the Neighborhood - everyone has different standards for what constitutes an "objectively good but still mediocre" neighborhood experience, after all!
Need more information, or maybe a soulmate? Head on over to the plot post! Prose or [Action Brackets] are both welcome!

Especially since this place seems to not really need taking care of in any way. Food just appears, so nobody needs to grow it. They have to clean up after themselves and stuff, sure, but even trash just seems to disappear once its in a trash can. So like...do they just...hang out all day?
Soos really wishes he paid more attention to his abuelita's explanations about heaven because he's only mostly sure this doesn't fit at all.
"You don't think this is like...something else, do you?"

Louis has never been a fan of authority figures, so some well-timed rebellion suits him just fine. He considers Soos' question, head canted. He's...not been a great person. He got better, he's done better- but he's never been his own biggest fan. He could easily believe the shit he did landed him somewhere worse. Maybe some things you can't clean up, no matter how much good you do otherwise.
"Like...Hell? Maybe? Seems kinda...flowerly. I was expecting more fire and brimstone."
no subject
Soos ponders, frowning. "Why would this place lie about what it is? Or, like, whoever made it, I mean. Maybe it's some kinda...weirdo conspiracy?"
In his experience, that is more often the case than not. Then again, Gravity Falls is sort of weird and not typical, maybe.
no subject
Is that even possible? Maybe! Though the conspiracy thing sounds just as likely.
"I mean... I guess? I don't know what they'd get from us? I don't have anything any more," to be sure before the world ended but not any more. "Like... pretty sure the world's done with conspiracy theories by now."
no subject
Unless it was just for the joy of conspiracy, of course. Which he kinda gets. Being included is nice.
Soos takes a step closer, lowering his voice even further. "Actually, dude. I've got this weird...feeling. Like. A sorta feeling like I know what's going on, already?"
no subject
The Delta are a hundred per cent less subtle than this - though that said the Delta usually want people alive. Can't turn dead kids into soldiers, and all that. He squints at Soos for a moment, before glancing around.
"Yeah? What's the theory, big guy?"
no subject
"I mean. That's it. I feel like I know what's going on, somewhere in my head. I just can't remember it."
Maybe that's dumb. But he just...feels it, y'know?
no subject
No judgement from Louis, at least. He frowns, rubbing a hand at the back of his neck.
"It's like something tingling at the back of your mind, right? Like something's just super weird about all of this?"
