Summary: Something is coming...
The Story:

Starting on the night of September 11 and continuing for the following 2 nights, characters will go to sleep as normal. However, they will find that their dreams are unexpectedly vivid. Even characters who don't normally dream will experience this. Even characters who don't normally sleep will experience it.

Many of Wonderland's guests have dealt with events that distorted their dreams before, but this? This is a little different. Because something is coming in those dreams. Something not altogether friendly.

If you'd like your character to encounter this...something, post their dreams to this log.

The doorway toward which Alice is gesturing yawns wide and black, seeming to get both bigger and blacker as the seconds pass, though slowly enough that it might be a trick of the eye.

"Where do you belong?" Alice asks, echoing Dipper's thoughts.

And then she repeats herself.

And then a third time: "Where do you belong?"

Wow, adulthood is getting scarier by the minute here. Dipper shrinks back in his seat, to the extent he can when his desk is so small.

“I don’t know!” His voice has an edge of desperation to it. “Does it have to be just one place?”

"It would make things easier," Alice says.

Easier for what?

[krmvgivv]

"Yeah, like I've ever done something that made my life easier."

For the most part, he just makes things harder for himself.

Remember that doorway that was getting bigger? It's well on its way to swallowing the whole room now, growing as they've been talking. That all-encompassing blackness has already done away with about half of the room's occupants.

[krmvgivv]

Dipper notices now and does a double take, scrambling backwards. Then he looks around the room.

"No," he says. "I'm going to save them."

He steels himself, then clambers forward. But who to reach for first? Who does he have to be most certain he saves before the blackness takes them away?

The answer is the same as it's always been. He reaches for Mabel.

Dream Mabel reaches back for him, grabbing Dipper's hand. Her nails dig into his skin like talons, though they look perfectly normal.

[krmvgivv]

Dipper's eyes widen. "Mabel? You're hurting me." That's not like her. Not intentionally.

[manxomnivore]

She smiles at him. It's not a particularly Mabel-esque smile. For one thing, there are too many teeth. Pointy teeth.

She leans away, giving him a sharp tug toward the spreading darkness.

[krmvgivv]

Dipper gasps. "You're not Mabel!"

This kid's a brilliant young detective with keen powers of observation.

"Then who am I?"

Now they're standing alone. The darkness spreads in all directions, but they're able to see each other, at least.

She doesn't let go of his hand.

[krmvgivv]

"Well, this is a dream and you're creepy. Kind of narrows down the options." Unless this really is just a dream. "And this is weird, but it's Not Bill's style of weird.. I'm guessing Jabberwock. Slash y."
