Summary: Something is coming...
The Story:

Starting on the night of September 11 and continuing for the following 2 nights, characters will go to sleep as normal. However, they will find that their dreams are unexpectedly vivid. Even characters who don't normally dream will experience this. Even characters who don't normally sleep will experience it.

Many of Wonderland's guests have dealt with events that distorted their dreams before, but this? This is a little different. Because something is coming in those dreams. Something not altogether friendly.

If you'd like your character to encounter this...something, post their dreams to this log.

Gabby’s having a good dream tonight.

She’s a princess with a big fancy dress and an even bigger, fancier sword and she’s climbing a tower. At the top, old man Logan waits, looking grumpy about it.

“Don’t worry, weird alternate universe grandpa, I’m coming!”

She keeps on climbing.

The stairs never seem to end, spiraling up and up and up. And the sword just gets heavier the further she goes, like something's caught onto the end of it and is trying to drag it back in the other direction.

She frowns and presses ahead, yanking on the sword. She doesn't know why it's getting so heavy, but she knows she has to keep going. That she'll rescue Logan sooner or later. She has to. Everyone's depending on her.

The tugging becomes more insistent. There's the sound of something dragging its bulk up the stairs behind her.

[honeybadgered]

"What is that even?" Gabby scowls, finally, and whirls around, yanking harder on the sword to wrestle it away from whatever's pulling on it.

A clawed hand--hand?--lets go of the sword and disappears back out of sight.

Gabby frowns and follows, forgetting entirely about her mission because there's a MONSTER to fight. Or befriend. She's 50/50 on which she'd prefer.

It's pretty dark where the monster's heading, and it reaches ground level very quickly, considering how long she'd been going up. Whatever it is, the shadows seem to gather around it such that it remains difficult to see regardless of the lighting.

"Your sword..."

[honeybadgered]

This is probably a bad sign. But Gabby isn't disturbed just yet. Instead she preens. "Pretty cool, right?"

"I want it." That clawed hand appears out of the shadows again, "fingers" outstretched like it expects her to just hand it over.

[honeybadgered]

...this seems bad. Gabby holds the sword behind her and gives the hand a suspicious look.

"Well, I want a pony and a dozen ice cream sandwiches. We don't always get what we want."
