Summary: The twins want to learn how to cook

The Story:

Kamui left a note in Hokuto, Suzaku and Sakura's rooms telling them to meet him in the kitchen. He sat on one of the countertops waiting for them and his twin, confident that it would be easy to learn how to cook for the other him. He also looked forward to seeing what clothes Hokuto-san had made for them and wondered if they'd be similar to what their mother used to make. Sakura was bringing her friend, Tomoyo, along so that he'd finally see what a video-camera was.

He heard the question in Suzaku's mind but didn't want to say anything about it. "Were they your friends? There's other Honorary Britannians?"

"Mmhm, there are quite some Honorary Britannians, but not all of them are soldiers. As for them being friends...I guess not really. Sure we joked around, but none of us were actual 'Friends'" he answered, remembering the days when he was still a Private.

Sakura dashed through the ridiculously long corridors of the Mansion, her brunette pigtails swinging up and down in all her rush. She was already quite late for her meeting with her adoptive brothers, and she would hate to leave them waiting any longer.

At last, she managed her way to the kitchen and scurried right in, inhaling and exhaling deeply so to recover her lost breath. Looking around, she realized Kamui was already there, as well as another young man she did not know. Great. That was quite a great first impression she was leaving.

"Ano, I'm so sorry I'm late!" She bowed in apology, her cheeks flushing in embarrassment.

Suzaku looked towards the kitchen door as he heard footsteps running towards the room. In came a girl around elementary out of breath, bowing in apology. Suzaku figured that from her actions that she was one of the adopted siblings. "Ah, it's all right miss. We weren't waiting too long, right Kamui?" he said, smiling to reassure her. Ever since Kamui had suggested Suzaku being more friendly to others, he had tried his best to be as friendly as possible, acting like he had at Ashford Academy.

He turned towards the door and smiled at Sakura. "It's all right, Subaru isn't even here yet." He stood up and went over to lightly place a hand on her head to stop her from bowing, then turned to Suzaku. "Suzaku, this is my younger sister, Sakura."

He rushes down the halls as well. He couldn't believe he had forgotten the time. He had been reading on the library and the book had been so interesting that he didn't notice the time passing.

He enters the kitchen, not as out of breath as Sakura, but panting a bit too.

"Sorry, I'm late" He looks around and notices Sakura and well as a young man he didn't recognize. But it could only be Suzaku, that Kamui had mentioned earlier.

((I can't remember if Subaru has met Suzaku alkready ^^;))

He smiled brightly at his brother as he leapt off the countertop. "Subaru! You're finally here~ I guess we can start now, while we wait for the others."

He pulled Subaru over and said to Suzaku. "Suzaku, this is my twin, Subaru. Subaru, this is Suzaku, the one who drew those pictures."

((No, they haven't yet.))

He smiles at his brother as well and looks at Suzaku curiously.

"So you're that painter? You're really good at drawing pictures. Nice to meet you."

"Huwa? Ah thank you!" Suzaku replied, bowing a bit. "It's nice to meet you as well..I'm glad you like the pictures,"

"Okay, enough chatting. Let's start~! Show them the recipe you've chosen, Subaru!"

"Okay." He gets the book he had chosen and opens it. "I chose this one because it seems easy to make and seems healthy too. Although I don't know much about food..."

((just imagine some random recipe with lots of vegetables. That's ll do. Or any of you can think of a dish if you want))

Sakura bowed in greeting to Suzaku, her young features still rather flustered. "I'm Sakura Kinomoto! Pleased to meet you, Suzaku-san!"

Then, she raised a shy hand, seeing as Subaru seemed to be going through a little trouble. "A-ano..." She started, offering everyone a small smile. "Maybe I could help you with that, Subaru onii-chan?"

Tomoyo came to the place with Sakura. She bowed when she finally saw Sakura's friends and greeted them with a smile, holding the video camera in her hands.

Kamui figured the girl with long, dark hair must be Tomoyo, Sakura's friend and looked curiously at the strange contraption in her hands.

Suzaku looked over at the other girl as well, wondering why she had a video camera, but didn't think too much on it.

Subaru smiles at Sakura. "Thank you, Sakura-chan." His attention was diverted with another girl's arrival. He assumed she was Sakura's friend. He looks curiously at the thing she was holding. Seemed like some kind of device.

Upon noticing everyone had been looking strangely at Tomoyo's camera, Sakura performed a rushed bow in apology and explained. "This is my friend, Tomoyo-chan!" Glancing over at Kamui, she added. "She brought her video camera for you and Subaru onii-chan to see how it works!"

Then, she moved closer to the green-eyed twin and looked up, offering him a wide smile. "What kind of meal do you want to make, Subaru onii-chan?"

"Ah, so this is a video-camera..." He moved closer and walked to stand behind Tomoyo and is surprised when he saw his twin on the screen. He excitedly called out. "Ani-ue! I can see you on this thing!"

He smiles at Sakura's antics and shows her the cook book he had brought along. "I think something healthy would be best."

He is distracted by his twin's excited call and looks at him, curious. "You can see me through that?" He approaches the camera curiously, looking at the little red light, wondering how it all worked.

Once Subaru is out of the camera's range, he exclaimed, a little disappointed. "Huh? I can't see you anymore... but you were there just now..."

He blinks at that, confused. "Eh? That device is really strange..."

"Daidouji Tomoyo, pleased to meet you all." She introduced herself.

She was amused by the twins' strange reaction to the camera. It looked like it was the first time they saw the object. The other one, a guy she wasn't familiar with, didn't seem bothered nor surprised.

She shifted the camera lens to Sakura's way.

His eyes widened again when he Tomoyo shifted the camera. "Ani-ue! Look! Look! Now I can see Sakura!"

Then he turned to Tomoyo, "How does this thing work? What is it doing actually?"

"It captures and saves moving moments for memories." She explains. "If you wish to record something, you just press this." And she pointed to the tiny red button on one side of the device.

"Tomoyo-chan is an expert at video taping anything!" Said Sakura, beaming at her companions. Surely, the twins' reaction to the recording device had been a little weird, but she could understand. It was something they had never seen before, after all.

Flipping through the cook book, she spotted a nice, healthy recipe that was rather easy to make, so they shouldn't have much trouble. "Look," She called out to Subaru and brought the book closer to him, pointing at the page she had selected. "This is a Cesar's Salad. It's really healthy, and you just have to put a few vegetables together!"
