[THE GYM] [OPEN]
Who: All residents of the Mansion.
Where The Gym
When: During the Mad Mod event.
Rating: PG. \o/
Summary: Today the Mansion's turned into a most unusual sort of learning environment. Can you survive the perils of Education, now with its own unique Mansion flavor? [Note that while your character can only be in one of the classrooms to start with, they can sure as hell escape... only to land into another. Feel free to interact with one another. \o/ Hey, you might even rescue your poor friends!]
the Story:
The gym's an ordinary-looking enough place, and once you get in, you'll immediately find yourself dressed in gym apparel-- a white T-shirt and blue shorts, both emblazoned with a tiny logo of a crown (white on the shorts, blue on the shirt).
Lined up all along the walls, pointing inward, are cannons-- and once you start to move within their range, they'll start firing at you. Their aim isn't great, and the balls (decorated with the faces of the mansion's notorious residents-- Hare, Cat, Dormouse, even the Queen) are easy enough to dodge... but they're not nice little squishy dodgeballs, but actual cannon-balls.
There's gym equipment one can hide behind (balance beams, a gymnast's horse, and pretty much anything else you can think of) and a storage room with mattresses and normal balls where characters can wait out the worst of the barrage... but if you want to get out, you'll have to take out those cannons first.

Seemingly, the mansion was blocking his ability to simply leave through a portal of darkness, making this task that much more difficult. For now, Saix's solution is to make his progress across the gym by deflecting whatever cannonballs come at him with his claymore.

He pauses, and waves, before quickly ducking away from another cannon ball.

"Do something useful!" His voice is little better than a growl as he smack another cannonball away.

As he says this, he quite literally back-flips away from a particularly menacing-looking Queen cannon ball. He misses it by just a hair - ah, the woes of poor depth perception.

"We need to find some way to stop them." Of course, the mansion had not been courteous enough to provide any visible off switch, and there seemed to be no exhausting the ammunition being fired at them.
Of course, a part of Saix's current temperament had a lot less to do with the volley of cannonballs and far more to do with Saix having found himself stripped of his leather trousers, coat, gloves, and boots, to be replaced with gym clothes. Especially the shorts.

It seems the thought to throw anything back hadn't occurred at all.
Oh sure, he would have to figure out something eventually, but for the moment, dancing around the cannon balls was providing enough amusement. He hadn't had to fight like this in quite some time, if one could really call it "fighting", that is.

Unlike Fai, he tried staying out of the cannon's way for the time being, spotting what looked like a door that might lead them out of this weird place, or at least offer some time to think. "Oi, mage, stop prancing like an idiot for a minute so we can get the hell out of here."

He knew what Kurogane meant though, so with another flip or two he was by Kurogane's side once more. He was somehow completely unscathed by it, and truthfully seemed like he had been having a good time.
" Getting out would be good though," he admitted.

"Hn. Good," he replied, nodding his head in the direction of the door. "We can try that first. If it doesn't work, then we'll have to figure out another way out of here."
no subject
"Delinquents found in the halls without a pass shall be appropriately penalized!
Don't expect to be saved by the bell, you willful whippersnappers!"
no subject
"Geez," she muttered, scrambling to her feet. "This place is even crazier than usual."
no subject
"If we can reach that door over there without being hit, I think we'll be safe." Pointing towards the door.

Taking a much-needed breath, the girl squints over the direction Euphie's pointing at, then frowns. "Yeah, but isn't it locked or something?"
Not that she'd tried opening it.
