Summary: Ganta joins Vivi for a walk.
The Story:
Ganta got to the fountain before Vivi and perched on its edge, waiting for the black mage. He swung his legs a little, head tilted back to watch some clouds pass by overhead. He didn't mind waiting, since he knew that it could take some time to figure out how to navigate the mansion. Besides, after living underground for some time, he enjoyed any opportunity he got to be outside.

Vivi stood back up, dusting off his pants and looked up at the sky.

"Really? Does it snow here?"

"I'm not sure. It hasn't since I got here. But that was just a month or two ago."

"Oh... It'd be neat if it did."

Ganta nodded.

"You said you traveled around a lot in your world, right Vivi-san?"

"Yeah... We went to a lot of different places."

"Did you like it?"

"Well..." Vivi looked back down to the water's edge in thought.

"Sometimes it was a little scary... We weren't really traveling around the world for fun... It sometimes got worse the further we went... It was like.. everything wasn't as it seemed..."

"It sounds a little like this place." Ganta put his hands in his pockets again. "Like it's okay most of the time, but sometimes it's dangerous or scary."

"There doesn't seem to be any monsters around though..."

"Yeah, luckily." Ganta smiled. "There were zombies during one of the events, and there might be dangerous animals in the forest, but for the most part, it seems pretty safe."

"...R-really? There were undead monsters here..?!"

He nodded. "During the event, anyone who had died while they were here got back the wounds that had killed them. Some of them were harmless, but others would attack you if you got too close."

"Um, but not all the events are like that!" he added quickly. "I mean, there was the one with the actors, and before that there was one where we just had to dress really nicely and go to a party. They're not all dangerous."

"O-oh..." Vivi looked back towards the water... Zombies... Plays that weren't plays.. and fancy dress parties.

This place kept confusing him even more the longer he was there.

Ganta offered a reassuring smile.

"Um...I usually find that it's easiest not to focus on the events. Since the time in between them is pretty normal, it might be easier to just try to enjoy it and not worry about the events until they happen."

"Yeah... I guess you're right, Mister Ganta."

"I guess it takes some getting used to."

He shivered a little. "It's getting kind of cold. Maybe we should head back to the mansion."

Vivi nodded. "Okay. Thanks for showing me all of this, Mister Ganta. It's kinda nice to know that I don't have to stay in my room all of the time..."

"It's no problem, Vivi-san." He headed back toward the mansion. "Let me know if you want company on a walk again. I lived underground back home, so I like to be outside as much as possible."

Vivi walked after Ganta after readjusting his hat. "Okay. I'll try to remember that, Mister Ganta. I can talk to you with that...communicator thing, right"

"Yeah. Or if you want, you can come by my room. I'm there sometimes. It's room 002 on the fourth floor."

Vivi blinked, realizing something.

"... Wow, I really am far away from everyone... Miss Terra is on the first floor and you're on the fourth... Maybe I should write it down so I don't forget and get lost..."

Ganta looked over at him. "Huh? Where's your room, Vivi-san?"

"Well... It took me a while to figure out where I was... Kind of a long while... But I'm on the eighth floor. It's really quiet up there though, I haven't seen anyone else around..."
