Where The Library
When: Sometime during the storm
Rating: PG?
Summary: The Prince and Major meet in the library
the Story:
Well it certainly was chilly in the library but poor weather wasn't anything to stop Seeu from working on his research. The prince sat at one of the tables provided for quiet reading shivering as he tried examine the images of human anatomy and another book on doll creation. Beside him on the table there was what appeared to be something similar to a human head made out of mechanical parts.

After a moment of examining his books, the boy pulls out tools from the long sleeves of his traditional clothing and started to pick at the brain of the doll.

The Major was somewhat bored. For fifty years there had been planning, scheming, always something. ANd now? Forced idleness, and an insufferable lack of resources, even though the library was nearly endless.

He paused slightly, seeing the red-haired boy working on some sort of android.

"Living models are better than books." He interjected.

Hi Ima creepy gy, have some candy

"As a baseplate. Machines can only be tools."

The best, jst come into this dark alley...

[identity profile] letztesmajor.livejournal.com 2009-11-24 05:19 am (UTC)(link)
"I see." He tilted his head. "So, how would you know it works? Risk your own people, or find another first?"

He was a fool if he risked his own people. The number of lesser people to se instead were endless...

MWAHAHAHHA

"Why wouldn't it be possible here? There are plenty of people around, or those who might be called people, if you had the inclination."

"Don't ask, it's a waste of time and effort."

[identity profile] letztesmajor.livejournal.com 2009-11-24 06:14 am (UTC)(link)
"Do you know how much time you have here? Do you know?" He raised an eyebrow, genuinely curios, since the people here seemed disinclined to speak to him.

"And if they don't care, that's why you wouldn't ask. Some are less fit for life after all."

[identity profile] letztesmajor.livejournal.com 2009-11-24 06:31 am (UTC)(link)
"An angel is it?" It might even be true in this place. Angels weren't nearly as soft as this centuries stories made them out to be. It could be interesting.

"Less fit. Yo could say weak, stupid, crippled... But if they let themselves be captured, they are clearly unfit and weak. Ethical concerns should not impede science. Doesn't nature show us that imbeciles breed imbecilic children? Defects beget defects. It is hardly compassion to allow them to live."

[identity profile] letztesmajor.livejournal.com 2009-11-24 06:45 am (UTC)(link)
"I am me, and I have been inconvienienced. Whether or not I escape is a testament to my abilities."

"I shall field my goals with science, and the fruits of my research. I live and therefore I seek to live. If other were to mewl and beg others not to step on them, then let them be mowed down like the fodder they are. I do not seek order, nor justification, that is the province of the weak. I will tkae action. It is evolution at work."

"Nein, it is not strength, it is about will. Victory is not to the strong, but to the skilled."

[identity profile] letztesmajor.livejournal.com 2009-11-24 04:12 pm (UTC)(link)
"When one has will, those without is follow."

[identity profile] letztesmajor.livejournal.com 2009-11-25 05:23 am (UTC)(link)
"Even a cripple has legs, it's a matter of how they function. And if they are or can be used." He had already decided, in his own mind, that Seeu was someone who could be used.

Okay, the second half he's just quoting doctrine

[identity profile] letztesmajor.livejournal.com 2009-11-26 05:20 am (UTC)(link)
"The battle is the point. he strong survive, the weak perish and do not create progeny. The race is purified and better for it. It is the law of nature. To prattle on about the defense of the weak is not compassion, it breeds weakness into the race, and that weakness will breed death."

"The individual is a concept of the bourgeois. The state is the expression of the people, and therefore the state is the people's good. Those who argue are only doing so because they know their own poison. As the state is an organism, it can have cancers, and cancers mst be cut away and destroyed!"

[identity profile] letztesmajor.livejournal.com 2009-11-26 06:18 am (UTC)(link)
"Of course it does. If people want life, they would fight for it themselves, not wait and let others save them or lead them."

"If you wish to be a tool, than be one. Your life would be worth more than theirs if you decided it was and held to it."

Huh, the boy was a fool, weak. A sad martyr didn't interest him. The research did. The dolls were intriguing.

"I am called Herr Major."

[identity profile] letztesmajor.livejournal.com 2009-11-26 06:59 am (UTC)(link)
He kept smirking, and expression that either annoyed of made a man's skin crawl. "Well, but I wold be interested in seeing you research -- I have some knowledge in that field."

"How boring." He cared little for the tragedy. An empy world did not amuse him.

"Do you prefer your formal title?"

[identity profile] letztesmajor.livejournal.com 2009-11-26 08:31 am (UTC)(link)
The major glanced through the book, somewhat bored with the majority of the details. But this place was calm, and the sport he might achieve in pushing the boy was amusing in the meantime -- just to see what he would do when he needed to test his theory. He recognied Japanese, of the two languages, he couldn't read the other.

"The mechanics need work." He said smiply, still smirking.

[identity profile] letztesmajor.livejournal.com 2009-11-26 08:55 am (UTC)(link)
"So you plan to fix them, or are these old notes?"

[identity profile] letztesmajor.livejournal.com 2009-11-27 12:56 am (UTC)(link)
"I see. I might have some information that you would find useful." This Seeu wasn't a threat to him in any meaningful way, and sharing the information on his own body might help if he ever needed repairs...

[identity profile] letztesmajor.livejournal.com 2009-11-27 05:47 am (UTC)(link)
He kept smirking, although parts of this memory infriated him. "I had an unfortunate encounter at the end of the war, some of my body was replaced."

[identity profile] letztesmajor.livejournal.com 2009-11-27 07:33 am (UTC)(link)
"I believe the term is cybernetics."

[identity profile] letztesmajor.livejournal.com 2009-11-27 08:53 pm (UTC)(link)
"Have you worked on this sort of thing before?" If it was mechanics, he trusted mechanics, and he needed someone to do that work with Doc back in the other world.

[identity profile] letztesmajor.livejournal.com 2009-11-28 02:23 am (UTC)(link)
"Is part of your body prosthetic." Well then, he might have more than once use. "In cybernetics, the mechanical is fused to the organic tissue. It's not so easy to take apart. Surgery is involved for some of it."

[identity profile] letztesmajor.livejournal.com 2009-11-28 07:20 am (UTC)(link)
Well, he had rebuilt the Letztes Battalion, he could work with what he had -- for now.

"I can show you what I have, it may help you." The smirk didn't leave his face.

[identity profile] letztesmajor.livejournal.com 2009-11-29 12:40 am (UTC)(link)
"Oh, no reason at all." Pleasantly? How amusing.
