When: Sometime during the storm

Summary: The Prince and Major meet in the library
the Story:
Well it certainly was chilly in the library but poor weather wasn't anything to stop Seeu from working on his research. The prince sat at one of the tables provided for quiet reading shivering as he tried examine the images of human anatomy and another book on doll creation. Beside him on the table there was what appeared to be something similar to a human head made out of mechanical parts.
After a moment of examining his books, the boy pulls out tools from the long sleeves of his traditional clothing and started to pick at the brain of the doll.

He paused slightly, seeing the red-haired boy working on some sort of android.
"Living models are better than books." He interjected.
no subject
"Living models? It will be alive eventually. Do you know something of the topic?"
Hi Ima creepy gy, have some candy
Is it good candy? Hunny's cake hurt my teeth.
The best, jst come into this dark alley...
He was a fool if he risked his own people. The number of lesser people to se instead were endless...
Okay?
Seeu frowned it was an annoying set back but what else could he do?
MWAHAHAHHA
"Don't ask, it's a waste of time and effort."

"And if they don't care, that's why you wouldn't ask. Some are less fit for life after all."
no subject
no subject
"Less fit. Yo could say weak, stupid, crippled... But if they let themselves be captured, they are clearly unfit and weak. Ethical concerns should not impede science. Doesn't nature show us that imbeciles breed imbecilic children? Defects beget defects. It is hardly compassion to allow them to live."
no subject
"If that is the case then where do you fall in this equation? Are you not trapped here as well? We are all captured. If we have no ethical concerns then what point is there in improving life with science?...If they are indeed defective then why should they be fixed? They should be left."
The prince lacked some of the moral compass he needed to avoid this conversation or tell at The major that he was insane.
no subject
"I shall field my goals with science, and the fruits of my research. I live and therefore I seek to live. If other were to mewl and beg others not to step on them, then let them be mowed down like the fodder they are. I do not seek order, nor justification, that is the province of the weak. I will tkae action. It is evolution at work."

I don't necessarily understand how you intend to conquer the problem of replacing another individual's preference for another's. It seems like a perpetual replacement of ideas kept in check by only by power, which is based on will. If will is based on how many follow another individual then surely if there are two individuals with enough enthusiasm but conflicting ideas they will fight. If they lead others it will eventually lead to a battle.
An endless and perpetual battle which only serves the purpose of expressing one's will....What is the purpose and the point of that other than to run this circle until everything is gone?"
Okay, the second half he's just quoting doctrine
"The individual is a concept of the bourgeois. The state is the expression of the people, and therefore the state is the people's good. Those who argue are only doing so because they know their own poison. As the state is an organism, it can have cancers, and cancers mst be cut away and destroyed!"
no subject
"If the state is an expression of the people, then I wonder what purpose I would play in such a world. I am high born, and I have always been taught that my duty is to those on my 'world'. My people are..."
He couldn't finish it, Seeu tried to consider those who he watched from the veil to be gentle...perhaps even ideal in their goodness because it made it easier to want to save them, to want to be out there with them.
Who was he really on the world of Asu? A minority with no way of changing that fact without the dolls? A prince whose rank mattered only because it allowed him to be kept in a cage? A boy who would one day wield power that would let him live forever...in an empty broken world?
"My people are relatively calm. If I am to be entirely for them at the moment then my goal should be the creation of dolls and the transfer of the soul immediately without haste. A child's life is hardly anything for the serving role of the prince to his people."
Seeu blinked. He didn't know the other's name. "I'm sorry, you are?"
no subject
"If you wish to be a tool, than be one. Your life would be worth more than theirs if you decided it was and held to it."
Huh, the boy was a fool, weak. A sad martyr didn't interest him. The research did. The dolls were intriguing.
"I am called Herr Major."
no subject
"I suppose you are right to some extent. However, I cannot follow your philosophy, Herr Major. You have given me much to think about but it all rides on my ability to lead, which requires will. I do not have that in the greatest abundance. This is what they desire and I will do my best to fulfill it.
After all...my life will be far longer than theirs in the end. Their lives will slip away eventually and then it will be only me. Then there will be only an individual on that lonely world."
Seeu returned to his work. "By the way Herr Major, I am formally addressed as Imperial Prince Seeu of Asu."
no subject
"How boring." He cared little for the tragedy. An empy world did not amuse him.
"Do you prefer your formal title?"

The red headed boy picks up one of the books open and hands it over. The bound book filled with sketches, information, and writing, some of which doesn't appear to be translated as he switches occasionally from his own language to Japanese when the word is lacking. He has a great deal of research on the actual creation of dolls now and detailed plans for building the parts.
However, there are flaws in some of the mechanics and more importantly very little information on the area of the brain. There it appears to be mostly short hand notes.
"Not really, most residents refer to me as simply Seeu or Prince Seeu."
no subject
"The mechanics need work." He said smiply, still smirking.
