i tear it apart time and time again...
Who: Vincent Nightray [
needsnosanity and OPEN
Where All abouts the mansion
When: All day March 15th
Rating: PG
Summary: Vincent's "little alien friend" is out to terrorize Vincent wherever he goes, but it's little trick might affect the whole house...
the Story:
For how long had the little creature been following him? Too long. Where did it go and what did it do when he wasn't looking and it seemed to disappear? He hadn't the slightest clue. In fact, Vincent hadn't cared at all the first time. It had been a great reprieve from his tormentor, although, it didn't seem as bad as some of the others sounded.
That was what he thought before he had gone to the library (little alien not two feet behind him), and found a stuffed bear in his usual chair in one of the corners.
But the issue wasn't the stuffed bear being in his seat. It was that Vincent personally knew this bear. It had become intimate with his scissors. And yet, here it was, crudely sewn back together, by seemingly clumsy hands. And that was only the beginning of a series of nearly fifty stuffed animals that had been placed in other various places around the house, some cleverly hidden, and others in plain sight, all sewn back together.
It was only morning when this sick game began, but Vincent could already feel a headache coming on as he began wandering, trying to collect the decrepit things, some of which had been sewn together incorrectly, with feet and arms mismatched or other body parts mis-arranged, while others seemed to have been done correctly.
ooc: He's tense, horrified and slightly paranoid, so... please feel free to pester him to the max. The animals can be in all sorts of odd places, so you can get creative or witty if you want

shhhh still supposed to be on hiatusss
He saw the alien go down the stairs from far away, and he ran over to follow him down when he thought he caught sight of a familiar blond hair down the hallway.
"Vincent-sWAAAAAAAAAH"
Samemaru had stepped on something squishy but before he could comprehend just what he had stepped on, his foot slipped from beneath him and bam. Staircase, meet Samemaru's butt. He slides down few stairs before he stops, and the thing he stepped on lands on his head. Taking a few minutes to get the stars away that were circling his head, he picked up the soft thing that obscured his view. It was....
...a stuffed cat.
With a tail for a nose and an ear for a tail. One eye was hanging by a thread, but everything else looked normal. ....If one ignored the fact that one arm and one leg had switched spots.
Other than all that, it seemed like a cat.
Samemaru blinked once and twice. It reminded him of a voodoo doll, with the stitches covering its body and some cotton showing from between the sewing.
i'll never tell
It almost slipped his notice completely, but then he saw the alien running away with the stuffed panda. As soon as he saw it, Vincent had this nagging feeling that he knew what this was about. When the alien tried to escape past him, he stole the panda from the troublesome alien's grip and gave it a harsh glare, before remembering the real issue. He hurried over, panda tightly gripped in his hands, to where Samemaru landed.
Pushing his hair out of his way, he bent over, and quickly knelt on the stairs, at Samemaru's side. Luckily, the boy hadn't fallen too far, however, he seemed to be running rather quickly when he fell.
"Are you alright?" Concerned, he doesn't even notice the horrid thing that Samemaru was holding.
no subject
voodoostuffed doll on his own lap. "I'm fine, I just hit my bottom hard, but no broken anythings! Probably just a huge bruise tomorrow," he answered while laughing slightly, tucking some loose hairs behind his ear.He caught sight of his panda in Vincent's eyes and his eyes brightened up more. "You go Standard back! Thank you Vincent-san!!!"
no subject
His eyes widened. "And... who, or what... is that?" Vincent hesitantly pointed to the
slightlymutilated doll in his lap a bit hesitantly. Because he knew. He knew that cat. Simply, he didn't want to believe it.That cat had been one of his victims. One of the ones he had despised the most. After all, it was for his brother, who feared cats completely and irrationally.
no subject
"I think it's a cat. I accidently stepped and slipped on it..." He picked it up again to look at it. "I wonder if it's someone's. I hope they won't mind that I stepped on it.." He tried to brush dust off of it, not realizing Vincent's hesitation towards the thing.
no subject
"It's... hard to tell." He managed to spit out a second later. "If it's sitting out here, I have a feeling that it was probably the doing of those mischievous aliens." Vincent sighed. Knowing the connection, he couldn't help but feel slightly guilty. But because he had a soft spot for Samemaru, the idea of confessing the truth behind all this was horrifying.
no subject
"What do you think, Vicent-san?" he asked, while turning his head to look at his friend. However he saw that someting seemed to be bothering the other and he asked once again in a more worried tone. "Um...Are you okay..?"
no subject
He blinked, when Samemaru asked him if he was okay and his eyes softened, a bit sadly. It didn't surprise him that he'd noticed, although he really wasn't sure if he was prepared to answer that. "Oh. Sorry... it's just... this isn't the first stuffed animal like this I've seen. I've seen a few... all of them were sewn together like this... rather badly."
no subject
"A few of them?" he frowned slightly at that. "Maybe it's a mean prank then. The poor stuffed animals..." In Samemaru's mind, he thought that one of the aliens had taken the stuffed animals, torn it apart and sewed it back together badly for no apparent reason.
no subject
Little of what Samemaru clicked right away, until the end. That last bit brought Vincent's focus back to Samemaru, as he tried to wrap his mind around what the boy said. Samemaru's expression was serious. Vincent could see honest sadness and pity there, for these lifeless things and he couldn't for the life of him, understand it.
Had it been anyone else saying it, he would have laughed. But as it was Samemaru, he took it seriously, and tried his best to wrap his mind around it. "The poor stuffed animals...?" His voice was soft, as he tilted his head to the side slightly in thought.
"But isn't it better that way?" He finally admits his thoughts, quietly. "If it wasn't them, it could be us..."
no subject
Samemaru hugged the cat once more and placed it next to Standard. "Maybe I'm just being an idiot or thinking like a child, but I still think it was mean of those aliens to ruin these dolls."
no subject
That cat... broken... put back together... messed up...
Looking at the two dolls was much like looking at himself and Samemaru, if one could see him for what he was. His eyes softened sadly as he looked at the pathetic creature. And yet, this boy pitied it, defended it, hugged it, and sat it down next to Standard as if... as if they could be equals...
"...Perhaps you're right. But... that doesn't mean it can't be fixed." He said, smiling softly. "With a bit of work... just maybe..."

no subject
"Mmmm... I think he likes you." Vincent chuckled, pointing to the cat. "I'm pretty sure I have some thread back in my room. It shouldn't take long... would you like to keep him? He'll need a good home..."
no subject
It would look odd with stitches, but Samemaru was sure it would still look nice and lovable. He was sure his friends back at home would like it too if he was able to bring it home with him when he could.
no subject
While it had been a great shock to him at first, he knew that now, if he intended to help this one, he should do his best to finish what he started. After all, he knew that these doll's fates had been his fault.

"If you have no objections, I'll take the lower half and you can search the upper floors. And I'll make sure to bring everything we should need."

By the time he finished, he had picked up another nine dolls. All of them were just as frightening and sad as the first. Sighing, he clutched them tighter as he hurried up to his room to grab the things they'd need to fix them, before returning to the meeting spot, setting the dolls down on the side of the steps and sitting while he waited.
no subject
After the thirty minutes, he skated over to their meeting place, with the bag in one hand and the stuffed cat in the other. He had found six dolls, and had somehow miraculously managed to arrive back without tripping, dropping, or getting lost at all. Skidding to a halt, he set the bag on the floor.
"I'm sorry Vincent-san! Did I make you wait long?"
no subject
With the aliens running amuck, he had to admit that he was slightly concerned. After all, they were the ones who caused this trouble in the first place.
no subject
He had wanted to go and talk to one of the aliens to ask why they were doing such a thing, but he didn't want to be late in meeting Vincent, so he decided to stop on and ask later on.
no subject
"No matter how much trouble they cause, we can always find a way to set things right again."
no subject
Samemaru took a couple of the stuffed dolls he had found from the bag and placed it next to the ones Vincent had found. Then, he took another good look at the first stuffed cat. "I wonder what's the best way to take apart the limbs and stuff without damaging it more..."
no subject
"If you use this, you can take out all the old stitches. Those aliens didn't exactly do a good job of putting them together, it shouldn't be too bad." He smiled, offering the little green tool to Samemaru.
no subject
"Do you think we should use white thread, black thread or navy thread?" he asked, looking towards Vincent from where he sat. The cat itself was navy, but the aliens had used red and yellow threads while sewing it. Samemaru was trying to think if the stitches should blend in with the doll or have it purposely stand out.
no subject
Hiding his concerns, he smiled and motioned towards the navy colored thread, as he began working on taking apart and putting back together a bear. "It would look best if it matched, don't you think?"
no subject
After a few tries, he got the thread in, and he carefully began to sew back the doll together. He wasn't quick with it, but he wasn't terrible enough to poke himself with a needle everytime. Housework was something he learned while staying at the dorm from the dorm mother. His face softened with recollection as he remembered the days where the two had sat together to patch back ripped uniforms and such.
no subject
As with most things, Vincent picked up sewing like an art. His stitches were swift, precise and even, eyes focused on his own hands as he worked.
no subject
"Do you have any particular input on his name, Vincent-san?" Samemaru asked, after a minute or so of thinking hard. He couldn't quite make up his mind on the name that fit the doll, so he thought asking Vincent's opinion seemed good.
no subject
He went back to his work, shrugging his shoulders lightly. "Well, that's just my thoughts, anyway." He laughed lightly, not looking back up, focused on his work and not stabbing himself with the needle.
no subject
Setting it back down on his lap, he took another part of Rue's limb and began to sew. After 20 or so minutes, he finished repairing the doll completely. "There! All done, Rue!"
