A Pleasant chat
Who: Major, Elaine
Where 10th Floor.
When: Retconned to immediately after he comes back to life.
Rating: Vile, because it's the Major
Summary: Major comes back to life, Elaine wants to talk.
the Story: By now, the sensation of returning to life was not an unusual one. As much as it was a sensation and not a realization. He was alive, and now he was awake, and previously mangled bones were intact.
The room was unfamiliar, but he had a feeling he'd been take prisoner. And, he couldn't feel his hands -- that was a new twist, but an interesting one. He really ought to incorporate that if he took on 'guests' again...

He looked normal. Both the Mansion and Seeu had done their jobs well. And, come to think of it, whoever had added the implants to the Major. It was too difficult to spot any artificial additions to his body.
"Hello, Major." She gets up and stretches, having spent the whole day waiting.

"Good morning young lady, or is it night?"

She glances at his hands. Then she approaches the desk and pulls out a pistol from one of the drawers. She holds it out to him, handle first. It's not loaded, of course, just in case. She just wants to test if Seeu's operation of disabling his hands had worked, or if the Mansion had fixed that part of him as well.

He sounds more amused than angry.
no subject
She expected him to be as uncooperating as possible, so she's mostly unaffected by his tone and actions.
no subject
Yep, he's still smirking.

He leans back, getting comfortable.

She watches him for a moment, wondering what on earth could have made him so... odd. That's the nicest way she can put it. There's always a nagging doubt that he might not actually be at fault for what he's become, which would actually make her feel bad for him.
"Let's talk."

"It would seem that I have nothing else to do."

"Why? There has to be some sort of end goal..."

"Tell me, Major, what happened with your mirror? You had a video before where you saw your mirror self, and... it made you very angry."
no subject
"You haven't offered me anything to drink yet, such a poor host."

She shifts her position on the bed. It seems like she might have struck a nerve at least, which was something. It could lead somewhere. "You didn't answer my question."
no subject
"No, I didn't Good job noticing, I would applaud you, but it seems I can't use my hands. I'm thirsty."
no subject
no subject
"That's better. How unkind not to think of that earlier."

"As for the dog-eared boy's lover, I recall he survived."

Elaine starts rummaging through the desk again.
no subject
He watches, still smirking.

She pulls out her communicator, and starts looking over the recorded videos.
no subject
He keeps smirking, not sure what she thinks she'll find.

He laughs. "That is the nature of the conflict. Others do not matter, or figure into my assumptions."

"Duma?"
no subject
She doubts it will make a difference, but she won't let go without having her say. "You're more blind than I am."
