Summary: Conan is a curious child. This means he isn't staying in his room for forever. COME PEOPLE. MEET SHINICHI.
The Story:

It had been about 5 days since Conan became Shinichi. His cold was pretty much cured and well, he was getting bored. He was definitely a curious person. Which naturally meant there was no way he was going to stay in a room if there were no books to read. So, even though he should stay inside since he had no idea when he was going to turn back, Shinichi decided it was time to get some more books. Especially the ones on top.

He walked down the halls and into the library, spending quite some time there. After that, he went outside to play some more soccer. Because man he hadn't played soccer in his high school body for a while. (For a while meaning 17 years 6 months) As the sun started setting, he went to the kitchen to get black coffee (without being looked at oddly if anyone caught sight of him) before going back to his room with a stack of books.

Man it was nice being a high schooler again.

Shinichi tilted his head to think for a while. "About how many people are here?"

She shrugged. "Hard to tell. Seems to be changing all the time. And I don't think anyone's ever put together a full list."

"Exit and entry's that often? I thought the number of people wouldn't change too much if people can't leave on will."

"Well, they can't but the mansion sure can spit them out when it's done with them. I have the beginnings of a theory on that one but I'd rather figure things out a little more before delving into the whys." She frowned a little. "Either way, it's not really like we're all in one place often enough to really keep a headcount."

"So you think this mansion has a reason for keeping us all here?" Shinichi asked, interested to know what other people thought about this place.

"I think there must be some benefit to our being here. Something beyond entertainment value or it wouldn't matter if we died." Spencer shook her head. "I just haven't figured out what. Yet."

"Are a lot of people trying to figure that out?" he asked.

"I think there are a few people who have questions about this place, but I don't think I've spoken to them much - or if I have, it hasn't been about this. I'm starting to think I might dig a little deeper, though." She shrugged. "If nothing else it kills time."

"Is there really not much to do when it's not during those events?"

"Not really. When there's nowhere to go and no routine, things can get dull pretty quickly."

"Pretty much. If nothing else it makes me feel like I'm at least still challenging myself."
