The Boredom of Kudo Shinichi // OPEN
Who: Edogawa Conan (Kudo Shinichi) [
walkingdesuno] and Anyone
Where: All around the Mansion? Mostly Library, outside, or hallways.
When: All day!
Rating: G?
Summary: Conan is a curious child. This means he isn't staying in his room for forever. COME PEOPLE. MEET SHINICHI.
The Story:
It had been about 5 days since Conan became Shinichi. His cold was pretty much cured and well, he was getting bored. He was definitely a curious person. Which naturally meant there was no way he was going to stay in a room if there were no books to read. So, even though he should stay inside since he had no idea when he was going to turn back, Shinichi decided it was time to get some more books. Especially the ones on top.
He walked down the halls and into the library, spending quite some time there. After that, he went outside to play some more soccer. Because man he hadn't played soccer in his high school body for a while. (For a while meaning17 years 6 months) As the sun started setting, he went to the kitchen to get black coffee (without being looked at oddly if anyone caught sight of him) before going back to his room with a stack of books.
Man it was nice being a high schooler again.

Okay, now she was starting to think like Aria. But she wouldn't dwell on that. That wouldn't be productive.
Still she looked up as someone walked in, curious at the vaguely familiar and yet utterly unfamiliar figure. She offered a smile and nod in greeting, lowering her book in case he needed help finding anything.

When he caught sight of Spencer, he offered a smile and nod in greeting back, going over to the bookcase slightly in distance from Spencer. He had confidence in his acting abilities, but there was no use digging his own grave by taking the incentive to talk to her, was there?

"Hi. Sorry, um, I know you probably don't want to be disturbed but...are you new here?"
If he was, she figured she'd at least make sure he was up to speed on what Wonderland was about. That would only be polite, right?

Or well, truthfully as he can.

Once he finished that snack, Minato was up and had the fridge open, thinking he should have something to drink. But when he heard someone else had entered the kitchen, another teenage boy that he hadn't seen before, Minato closed the door to the fridge. He stepped aside and gave him a nod, letting the newcomer work his way around the kitchen or simply explore it.

Shinichi only paused for a moment, as to see who was there, before going over to the stovetop. He couldn't act too used to the ways of the kitchen, but he didn't want to look too lost either. After a few moments, he began to look in the cupboards, for coffee beans and a mill. He kept attention towards Minato, not too much to make Minato suspicious or uncomfortable, but not too little as if he was ignoring the other's existence.
no subject
"Did you need help finding something?"
no subject
He assumed that the beans would probably be nearby as well, since the Mansion had a way of making thing you need appear right in front of you.
no subject
"They're over here." Minato opened up one of the cupboards nearby and showed him where the variety of coffee beans were.
"Have you been in Wonderland long?" He thought to ask that as well.
no subject
"Not really. Almost a week," he answered truthfully. Conan may had been here for longer but Shinichi hadn't.
He was about to ask if Minato wanted some, but that seemed too frank and friendly. It wasn't really what Shinichi himself would do to a stranger he just met.

A week in Wonderland only wasn't much time to adapt oneself, but it depended on the person and their personality. If this teenager was comfortable enough around the kitchen or around the Mansion by now, it said a lot about his character.
Minato retrieved his plate from the table to wash it. He pointed out another place in the kitchen along the way if this other boy wanted to have coffee.
"The coffee mugs are in another cupboard over there."
no subject
And a fast adapter. If he wasn't, there was pretty much no way he would be able to act like a child enough to hide his identity.
Shinichi looked over at where Minato pointed. As helpful as ever it seemed. Minato really was a nice person, much more than most people he knew. "Thanks."
He went over to the cupboard to get the coffee mug. Thank god for height. No more stools and crawling up on the counter.

As he aimlessly picked out titles, he nearly bumped into Shinichi. Looking up, he furrowed his eyebrows. His eyes were locked on the target and he remained silent, deep in thought. That face was awfully familiar, but to who...?
no subject
It always felt odd to look down at people that he was craning his neck up just few days before. "Sorry, are you okay?"
no subject
"I'm Gareki. You?" Let's get some more clues by carrying on the coversation.
no subject
"Kudou Shinichi. Nice to meet you, Gareki," he answered, with a smile that he usually wore to most strangers. If it was anyone he knew the face probably would've been a bored or something more frank looking.
no subject
He turned and once again, looked directly at Shinichi. The name could be an alias, however intricate and real it seemed. There was no beating around the bush with him if there was something he wanted to know. "You look familiar. Have we met before?" Gareki's voice was controlled, yet completely casual.
no subject
Shinichi kept the smile on his face as he shook his head. "I'm afraid we haven't. Perhaps you're mistaking me for someone else?" Everything looked natural on Shinichi. Obviously, he will win an Oscar one day fft.
no subject
GAREKI'S LIE DETECTOR IS TINGLING. But for now, he chooses to ignore it. The Oscar is obviously well deserved. He considers his suspicions might be wrong. Maybe this was an opportunity to make a new... acquaintance.
"Are you new here?"

It wasn't on purpose, but she ended up watching him from afar.
With a camera in her hands.

This goes on for a few more minutes, until he takes a small break. Which is when he first notices someone watching him.
