It isn't his first time around the random TV hallucination bend either, and he's definitely approaching capacity levels of being frustrated with it. He sighs and pulls his sunglasses off, looking out over the scene. He hopes it's not a really gory one. Or a really hard one to solve.

"I'm... sad I didn't watch more of these," he lands on, then looks up at her. "I watched a few, but. I wasn't really into them. And I think that's Detective Tran." His smile is teasing; he's coming around.

"How about you?"

Kevin was in it, yes, but by proxy, definitely. He was more of a behind the scenes person, though he did a lot of detective work on his own, at least in the sense of figuring out Crowley's game and how to get himself out of it. That's different from a murder, but he has faith in the both of them to figure it out. Like she said, she does this for a living, and Kevin maybe has some imposter syndrome mixed up in his perfectionism, but he knows he's smart, too.

"Yeah, this can't be too hard, right? If it has to be solved in about forty minutes, and it comes on network TV..."

He trails off, and then starts approaching the scene, his eyes roving all over everywhere. He chews his lip.

"Should we bag his hands? I feel like they bag peoples' hands a lot."

"Protects whatever they might have on their hands. Gun powder residue, any genetic material if they tried to fend off their attacker. ...maybe other stuff, but that's all I remember. That's enough to sound official, anyway."

He sees her puffing herself up and wonders if he should too, but he's not sure anything he could do would earn him respect as a young Asian teenager who looks like he should be going to forensics club, not actually being a forensic investigator.

"Right. Look for any obvious signs of death. Um... Blood, injuries, weird... coloration. We can make preliminary notes and then see what the coroner says." He looks up at her, the corner of his mouth lifting. The message is implied: they've totally got this.
