but you know what they say about me

Who: Meg & various (closed)
Where: Throughout the town
When: The 21st-23rd.
Rating: R for language I'm sure
Summary: Meg is a general pest
The Story:

As usual, she's on the prowl.

It doesn't matter if it's in her own apartment building, or an alleyway a few blocks down. Meg is a silent witness to many things - or she would be if she knew how to keep her mouth shut.

Silence was lame, anyway.

There is this instinctual need to know what's going on at all times. Her fingers are also a little sticky, swiping a prized possession here or a few bills from someone's wallet when they bump into her on the street.

This doesn't mean she's particularly good at what she does. Luck is her very best friend, so close she's able to manipulate it just the slightest. Make someone fumble with their keys if she's inside their house snooping around, or make that light drizzle a complete downpour when she needs a quick getaway.

This is probably more of an annoyance to others than something to fear, but it keeps her alive. That's all that matters in her mind.

And so, she can be seen around town. Throwing out comments and, in general, being a pest that just can't be squashed.

From Castiel's perspective, there are all kinds of reasons that this woman could be stalking him. She may want to know more about his powers. She may even be interested in his true identity. None of which he wants to share with a stranger, naturally, but it's not as if he hasn't earned the interest of a random villain in the past.

He's assuming she's a villain, at least. It's something about her overall attitude that makes him certain of that.

Which is only confirmed when she reaches out to... stroke him. Castiel frowns and immediately backs up, but he finds himself cornered against a wall. Not that there's any reason to be concerned, as if it came to blows he'd be sure to best her, but she isn't attacking him. This is something else entirely, something he's not prepared to deal with.

And so he keeps his response short. "No."

She is too close, far too close. While she's keeping her hands to herself now, that could easily change, especially with the way that she's speaking.

Some might find this ridiculous. The Guardian, who's feared by at least a few different villains throughout the city, is reduced to a bundle of nerves the moment that a woman pays him attention. But Castiel isn't well-versed in this sort of thing, and it's the last thing he would expect to have to deal with while working.

He slides to the side, working his way around the woman and away from the wall so he doesn't feel quite so trapped.

"I'm not interested," he insists, and he starts marching away. As soon as he gets clear of this alley, he can take off and get away from her. Now that he's certain she has no real reason for tracking him, there's no point in him staying here.

Oddly enough, this is really all it takes to make the Guardian uncomfortable. There's a little secret to spread around. Not that he would let it stop him from taking in a criminal, but he doesn't even know if this woman falls into that category. He has a good hunch, but that's all.

Her question causes him to tense, mainly out of irritation, and he swivels back around to face her, eyes narrowed.

"It's neither of those things. I don't fraternize with the enemy." It's more or less an excuse so that she'll stop bothering him with pointless questions, but either way, he has a clear enough opening now to take off.

Which is exactly what he does, turning away from her to kick off into the air. The speeds at which he can move are unreal, and before long he's nothing more than a speck in the sky.
