Catch 'em all...
Who: Ellen and... everyone.
Where: Realside, everywhere.
When: 26th -> 2nd
Rating: PG -> R (Warnings, below)
Summary: Ellen's log for the Halloween event.
The Story:
OOC Notes:
- Ellen is going to be pretty much everywhere.
- She's taking over a bedroom and warding it against... everything.
- There will be blood, guts, gore, nonconsensual restraint, Latin, and other things I'm forgetting to warn for.
- Tag yourself in, give a date, a time of day, please.
- I probably will be editing things in, so keep that in mind.

[Still, she lowers the gun. Ellen is learning that this place doesn't work the way home does. So, Isaac doesn't even get splashed with holy water. She tucks the flask away and sighs.
His question makes her look at her hand. The blood has seeped into the make-shift bandage. It'll heal. Eventually.]
Trying to find a decent knife. What are you doing out here kid?
[Especially alone.]

Oh... Good to know she's looking for a freaking knife. ] Oh.
[ He ignores her question for a moment to ask his own. ] Planning on stabbing someone? [ With all the mirrors running around hurting people, it wouldn't surprise him any. ]
Me and my friend have been trying to help people... She's on the other side of the mansion. [ He can't just say there's been a lot worse than attack of the wolf-man... Would she even believe him? ] There's been some dangerous people trying to hurt others... [ So why don't you have a weapon Isaac? ] Though - uh - stabbing people isn't really my thing. [ He's got fists of steel or something... ]

She raises an eyebrow at his explanations.]
Damned boys, thinking themselves indestructible.
[She shakes her head and sighs.]
C'mon, lets get you a weapon at least.

A weapon?
[ He nods as if he totally understands. He doesn't know how to shoot a gun or how to stab people... ]
Oh - uh, yeah, that'd probably be a good idea...
[ He clears his throat. ]
What kind of weapon?

Don't scuff the salt.
[It's a soft warning, but one that's important. She's got symbols painted all over the room. She turns to watch him cross the salt line and the devil's trap. If he fails those tests, she's shooting him and moving on.]

If intimidating teenagers was a class, her and Derek would have A+s. It's a little weird, in all honesty, that she's helping him, but then again, it was probably weird when he helped people. ]
So - uh - [ He clears his throat looking around at the other symbols. ] I'm gonna guess that isn't contemporary art.

Another reach and she immediately puts back the pick ax. Again, not what she wants. There it is. Her hand closes on the smooth handle of the machete. She flips it over in her hand and offers it to him, handle first.]
Wards, a few supernatural traps. How the hell have you been here with Jo and the boys and not learned any of this?

[ He stares at the machete she's offering him, and swallows hard. When he finally reaches out to take it from her, it's slow and cautious like the thing might grow teeth and bite him. Only to draw it closer for further inspection. ] You want me to... use this on someone?
[ Oh god, he's not sure which is more horrifying, the fact that he's considering it or the fact that she's offering it to him for protection. ]
Wait... Wards against what...? What kind of traps?
no subject
I was thinking you could use it on the roots, kid. You're going to need it. If you need it to defend yourself, fine, but it works better against roots.
[And a few other things, but she's not going to tell him that.
She nods to the circular trap in the doorway.]
Demons, djinn, poltergeist, ghosts, a few other things. Why?
