VALENTINE'S DAY CATCH ALL 12th-17th
Who: Anyone and everyone who wants to participate
Where: Literally every corner of the known universe
When: Again with the questions...
Rating: BIG BIG HORRIBLE WARNING LOTS OF DEATH AND FIGHTING AND GRAPHIC EVERYTHING I think you might need an adult...
Summary:
THIS IS A CATCH ALL LOG FOR THE DURATION OF THIS SITUATION
Here's what happens. If you want interaction with HARRY OR TOM, if you want to have a short thread with someone discovering a BODY or someone who is WOUNDED or generally just want some blood and guts it happens in here.
THAT BEING SAID if you want to write a log? Do it. I'm just trying to control the madness in one place...as if that might be easier to manage. It also means the community isn't TOO flooded with bodies and boxes of chocolate so those wanting to bypass this event will have less to look at.
IF YOU ARE A VICTIM, YOU MAY POST YOUR DEATH POST IN HERE
I mean, you can if you want but also feel free to make an independent post. Up to you.
Comment in with a header including date and place for whatever situation you're doing so we can just keep track. I'll do the same.
Questions, comments, plurk or aim or pm me. x

Having given her the water like she asked, he leans up against the exam table again, gaze focused on her, as if wanting to reassure himself that she's really all right. But then she poses that question, and he shrugs and waves a hand as if trying to dismiss the memory. "Oh, you know, I went to the tunnels just to see what was there, and along the way, I ran into two people fighting, got a bit in the way, and, well, this happened."
But he glances back at her with just a hint of a smile on his face. "Of course, had I known that one of them was a bit of a troublemaker, I would have stayed out of it, but all I saw was someone getting tossed around, and I just couldn't have that." Of course, it's still a bit vague whether his interference did anyone any good, but he couldn't have stood there and watched and not done anything, after all.

There isn't even an event going on, is there? So then what is this all about? She's never heard any warnings about a man in a gas mask before, so she's at something of a loss for who her murderer is and why he would have any sort of problem with her specifically.
"Not sure you would have stayed out of it, even if you had known," she says with a tiny smirk. It helps to make light of the situation, to make things a bit easier on both of them. "You should heal up right quick, though, yeah?" The Doctor regrew a whole hand, some cuts and scrapes shouldn't slow him down for too long. Not that Martha wanted him going after the killer -- no, that sounds like a terrible idea, in fact.
no subject
"No, you're right, I probably wouldn't have," he admits, knowing without a doubt that he couldn't have just sauntered on by and left someone to be attacked. "Already doing just that." His ability to heal quickly is something he very much appreciates. "With just a little time, I'll be just fine. Nothing to worry about at all." But he's back to giving her an appraising look, because as encouraging as it is that she's standing and talking, sometimes there are things that just can't be seen.
"You're really all right, aren't you?" He just needs one last bit of confirmation from her that she is, and if she says otherwise, then he'll do what he can to progress to recovery.

The fact is that it's easier to focus on someone else rather than on what happened to her, and so it isn't long before she's eyeing the door that leads out into the main clinic area. There may be others who are injured, if that madman is running around and attacking people. Though maybe he only has a vendetta against the two of them.
"I... am," Martha says, pausing and turning to the Doctor as she answers his question. "A bit shaken, I'll admit. I just don't understand why someone would want me dead." Is it something against her and the Doctor? It seems odd that the two of them were attacked specifically. Then again, a whole day has passed...
"Has anyone else been hurt?" Or worse.
no subject
"That's understandable, though. That you'd be shaken, I mean. And I wish I could tell you I knew what was going on, but I'm still working that bit out." It could be something against the two of them, but he doubts it, since others unrelated to either of them have been hurt or killed.
Which brings him back to her question. He knows full well that she wouldn't want the truth lessened or skirted around, so he answers: "Unfortunately, yes." He might not know their names or the exact number, but reports have been coming in now and again giving the grim results.
no subject
Which doesn't leave them with many other options, and nothing the miner had done had actually struck her as inhuman. He'd been good at using a pick axe as a weapon, and strong besides, but...
It's enough to make her assume the worst, as much as she'd rather not.
When the Doctor admits that others have been harmed, Martha glances over, face set with concern. "Do you know who?" At that point she doesn't hesitate to move out of the back room and into the main area, where she finds that the entire space has been cleaned of her bloodstains.
While it causes a strange sort of disconnect as the amount of time that's passed sinks in, Martha's relieved she doesn't have to see the signs of her own death splattered on the walls. There are people she must owe for that, and she'll have to figure out who they are soon. "If the attacks are continuing, then I definitely need to stay on duty here." Which is a frightening thought, but Martha isn't about to back down now.
no subject
It's all a bit frustrating, and it's with a sigh and a shake of his head that he replies, "No, although I wish I did. They might need help, and I haven't got so much as a name." He follows Martha to the main area, watching her closely as she has a look around, and he nods. "And someone should be on guard, if an unexpected visitor shows up." And by someone, he means himself, at least for a little while. He'd rather be outside looking for people who need help, but he doesn't want to leave Martha on her own either.
"Oh, I just remembered: I do know one person who might need help, although I don't know where he's gone off to. I met him when I first arrived. Now, what was his name?" He falls silent again, trying to recall the first person he spoke to, just a few short weeks ago. "Philip, I think it was."
no subject
She'll have to try and find out for herself, then, over the next few days. She's got enough friends here who are in the know that she suspects she'll learn a few names at the least.
When the Doctor mentions protection, Martha turns toward him with an eyebrow raised incredulously. "So you're going to be the guard dog?" It's hard for her to imagine the Doctor fighting anyone, even if she's well aware of how frightening he can be. He's just never been scary in a physical sense, seeing how he's a beanpole.
If he wants to stay here and watch over her, he might as well come out and say it.
However, then the Doctor just happens to remember that someone's been hurt. Philip? That name seems familiar, but Martha doesn't know the man herself. "What happened? What do you mean, you don't know where he's gone off to?"
no subject
But he nods fervently, even though he frowns a bit, because he's not just a guard dog. Though he supposes it fits. "Of course. I'm not about to leave you here on your own." He might be a beanpole, but he's determined enough to do what he has to in order to look out for Martha.
But he goes back to thinking about the run-in in the tunnels. "I don't, really. He was already fighting when I turned up, and he might not have made it out alive if I hadn't shown up when I did." Although in hindsight, he wasn't a great deal of use. He just provided a good distraction, however, and in the end, it helped get them out of what was obviously a sticky situation.
"He ran off somewhere before we got to the clinic."
no subject
Martha can hardly blame him. Had their situations been reversed, it would be the same thing. She doesn't want to be left alone here anyway, so she's fine with his presence. She does want to arm herself, though, and she can't do that when the Doctor is here. She'll receive all manner of judgment the moment that he sees her with a gun, even though she thinks it's appropriate to have one in this case.
His explanation of what happened to Philip causes her to sigh and lean against one of the counters. Now why would someone run away from the clinic when injured? It makes no sense.
"Well, I hope he makes his way here eventually." There isn't any way for her to track him down, not when she doesn't know who he is.
no subject
It's not something he wants to see again, and more specifically, it's not something he wants to see her go through again.
So, he'll stand outside until it's clear the danger's passed and no one else is in danger of losing their lives, if that's what it takes.
"I haven't a clue. He looked like he had somewhere he wanted to be, but I can't think where that could have been." For someone who was as roughed up as Philip had been, the only place for him should have been the clinic. But he'd practically shoved the Doctor at Amy before bolting off to who-knows-where.
"Let's hope he's still alive." He lets that slip a bit on accident, because why remind Martha of what's happened to her? As if she does need reminding. But what if he ran off for another go at the killer? The Doctor shakes his head, knowing it's pointless to think about. Maybe Philip just went to his room or somewhere else and didn't go off to do something foolish.
"Anyway, Martha, do you need a hand with anything here?" He's not the best at cleaning up, never having been good at domestics, but he'll try if she wants him to.
Want to wrap things up soon / fade to black?
As things stand, though, she's just as clueless as everyone else.
"Seems like the clinic should have been his top priority, yeah..." Martha realizes that plenty of the people here aren't as careful about their health as they should be, though. She isn't that surprised, but she does hope Philip shows himself here sooner rather than later, or at least finds someone else to heal him.
"Yes, let's hope." There don't need to be more casualties, but Martha wishes she could actually see that they didn't happen. As things stand, all she can do is wait for people to come here for medical attention.
At the Doctor's offer, she turns to face him more directly and nods. "Let's get the beds ready and put some supplies out." She'll most definitely put the Doctor to use if she can, even if menial labor has never been his strong suit. In her case, at least it will take her mind off of what happened to her.
Sure, sounds good! Thanks for the thread. <3
He's a little torn about that, about whether he should be out there trying to help people or staying with Martha to give her a hand and whatever support she might need. But he figures he can assist with cleaning up the place a bit and doing whatever other work she thinks is needed, and then after that, he can go out there and have a look around.
"Well, for the moment, Martha, consider me at your disposal." He nods at her and gets ready to get to work. With two of them on the job, they should be able to make some decent headway.
