Summary: Charlie finds herself stranded in the library and decides she's going to risk a few jumps.
The Story:

Charlie's not exactly sure how it happens, or when, but it's easy enough to see something's up when she opens the door to leave the library and finds the hallway not where it should be.

Nothing is where it should be. Happy she didn't have her nose stuck in a book, which would have ended with her falling to her ultimate doom, she leans out the door to peer down at the ground.

The ground that's so far down her head starts to spin a little.

Pulling back, she closes her eyes and concentrates on her breathing. "Okay, relax. No biggie, no biggie. I'm just in a free floating library, cut off from everything. Totally normal."

Naturally, she doesn't manage to entirely convince herself of this. Staying put is tempting, it really is, but there's something that pushes her back to the door, standing on the ledge and looking out at the other rooms that seem to suspend in mid air around her.

Managing to keep her calm, a piece of hallway starts to travel by slowly, close enough that she can just step onto it and travel around.

That seems like a lot more fun than just staying put.

And with a deep breath, she takes a leap, landing ungracefully in the hallway with an 'oomf'. Turning around, there's a slightly astonished laugh from her as the library moves in a different direction.

"Okay. I can totally do this." It's short when compared to most pep talks, but she's feeling the excitement of ADVENTURE coming on, and with that starts to travel through whatever pieces are nearby, careful not to get too cocky with her leaps.

Katniss turns to look behind herself, just to check that she actually is still in front of the kitchen. It's odd, yes, but she wouldn't put it past this place to suddenly change around her.

"I'm not sure what a burrito is," she calls, frowning, "But, um, if you're hungry I could get you, uh, some bread?"

To be fair, it's really good bread. Cheese baked into the top and everything.

"Nah, it's cool. I'll come on ov- wait you don't know what a burrito is?"

She clearly needs to fix this stat.

Getting close to the edge, she judges the distance between it and a set of stairs nearby. The stairs seem like they're close enough to the kitchen for her to chance it.

"Okay, I'm gonna hop over. Just keep your fingers crossed." It's said lightly, but she means it. Give her good vibes, Katniss. With a deep breath, she throws herself forward, landing safely on the stairs. It wasn't quite as jarring as her first hop and she's grinning when she trots over near the kitchen. "Hey, I think I'm getting used to this!"

Katniss' breath catches in her throat as the girl jumps again. She seems to be okay, though, so if the girl can joke about it-- was it a joke? Katniss can never actually tell-- then she guesses it's okay. For the most part. The mansion is still in pieces, though, so that part still sucks.

"Is it a thing you want to get used to?"

Katniss doesn't need to jump. Really. She could have just speared some bread on an arrow and shot it to Charlie.

"I could have just put some bread on an arrow and shot it to you."

"Seems like a useful skill to have. Able to leap long distances!" She shakes her arms out, though, trying to get rid of the shakes she's getting from all that adrenaline (also fear, but she's totally not going to say that out loud). "Next thing you know, I'll be going full Superman around here - leaping over tall buildings!"

Not really, she doesn't think that would be very useful at all.

"I'll have you do it next time. Never had food delivery via arrow before." It'd be something to talk about, anyway. She's feeling less shaky, so she gives the stranger a bright smile. "I'm Charlie, by the way. Not crazy, I promise."
