I work with others. I have managed to make a few allies who are powerful and clever. [She hasn't exactly been idle.]

I won't do anything against the people on your list. I have no reason to. But I don't think the Winchesters are ever going to accept that I am alive and not dead. They will likely want to change that.

[Teasing them isn't exactly helping matters either.]

And then there is Lucifer to worry about...

Working with the Winchesters and trusting them are entirely different. I don't turn my back on those morons and neither should you. They would throw a child under the bus for each other. Literally. I've watched them do it.

As for Lucifer, I'm sticking with avoidance as long as I can. I'll tackle that problem when it becomes more pressing.

[ He chuckles. ]

I think that makes you the evil queen. You're lucky she's fabulous.

I am lucky with a lot of things. But I suppose queen is an excellent title to have. [She holds him tighter, the craving bubbling up inside her. She places kisses over his shoulder and neck, gauging his level of interest.]

[ His level of interest is sitting firmly in the tense disinterest category and he shifts in an attempt to discourage that sort of attention. ] I'm really not in the mood.

[She pulls back, understanding "no means no." But it doesn't stop her from staring at him in a mixture of resigned exhaustion and apathy.]

I take it you would rather I go?

If that's what you're craving, I think you'll want to get your fix elsewhere.

[ That is to say that he doesn't want her gone, but he wants the unwanted attention to stop more than he wants her company. ]

[She finds this sudden change in him disturbing. Crowley has never been one to not enjoy interest in himself. He was always a sexual creature in a similar capacity to her, or at least seemed that way. Something is strange and now, she is on the scent.

She looks at him for a long moment, as though the answer is on his face. If she cannot read it on him, she knows someone who can.]

I wouldn't want to make you uncomfortable, darling. [Though the sudden idea occurs to her that Mirror Crowley might be one to look for and ask.] All that I crave is your presence, nothing more.
