It's like a flyin' disk game. Just like a game of toss. [ Well, sort of. ] Or, if you're feelin' dangerous, there's a version where you can play like golf, but you gotta have a big course.

[seekingbrother]

[Al laughs and bounces the ball off of his head.] Let's just stick to the normal one for now.

[oversight]

Yeah, okay, works for me. Lemme get the Frisbee. You want a water, too? I'll bring you a water. [ He has to keep everyone hydrated, right? ]

[seekingbrother]

Sure! I had a soda pop and some sandwiches earlier, but not much else.

[oversight]

That makes things easy, then. [ Blake grins and off he goes, that near-unceasing energy still going strong at this time of day.

When he returns, he's got an arm full of waters and at least one wrapped snack for when they're done. Almost everything gets dropped on the ground and John grins and offers out the last bottle. ]

Here ya go. Ready, then? We'll get started when you are.

[Al takes it with a grin, opening and downing about fourth of it before he nods.] Okay, ready! How far is the fris-bee gonna go?

Should go pretty far. Maybe like... twenty or thirty feet? Depends on how hard it's thrown.

[ And a lot of other factors, to be honest, but that's something that's picked up over time. ]

A'right, here goes. Ready?

[ Hope so, because he's tossing it right now! Thankfully, it floats gingerly along without too much trouble. ]

[Al barely has time to nod before it goes flying, and he laughs as he chases after the thing. He tries to jump and catch it mid-air, but winds up missing as it sails to a stop sticking out of the sand.]

[He chuckles and picks it up, miming the throw Blake had made a few times before tossing the frisbee back, maybe with a bit more force than he needed.] Catch!

[ Of course, as with all things left to the unpredictability of the world, the Frisbee takes that added oomph and flies well out of Blake's reach. He chances it down and quickly sends it back Al's way. ]

Got a hell of an arm for this kinda thing. Wait until we start doin' trick shots, then you gotta start buildin' some skills.

Trick shots? [Al runs to intercept it, managing to catch it before it hits the sand this time. He sends it back to Blake, this time with a more reasonable force.] What sort of trick shots can you do?

[ It's much easier to catch this time around, and then Blake stops and gestures with the disc. ]

There's a behind-the-back catch. Or the under-the-leg catch. Also, angling the thing up a certain way to make sure it comes back to you like a boomerang. Pretty neat all the things you can do.

[ He spins the Frisbee between his fingers before tossing it back. ]

Behind the back? [Al licks his lips as Blake lets the disk fly, and debates for a moment before trying to position himself to do that behind-the-back catch. All he succeeds in, though, is getting his fingers smacked around for his troubles, and he yelps as the disk falls to the ground.]

[He shakes out the stinging from his fingers and picks up the Frisbee self-consciously before throwing it back to Blake.] Well, that didn't work.

[ Blake doesn't laugh, but he's amused nonetheless. Al's definitely the type of person to go above and beyond, so it doesn't surprise him at all that he takes steps toward the advanced stuff on his first time out. ]

Close, though. [ Snatching the Frisbee out of the air, he stands ready. ] Let's see if I can't get you a better throw this time...

[ Much more gently, he looses the disc, watching as it gently wafts Elric's direction. ]

[Al licks his lips as he watches the disk, turning and moving a few steps to get in position. This time he does catch it, though it's a close thing.]

[And with the way he's beaming and jumping, you'd think he just won an olympic medal.] I did it, I did it!

[ That enthusiasm is more than enough to get Blake laughing. He nods, pleased by the performance. ]

That's really cool. Took me years to pick that up. Of course, I didn't have such an awesome teacher...

[ He's totally joking, of course. Al's the only one responsible for that good performance. ]
