There's already some people on the beach by the time that Quinn arrives, and at first she just picks her spot, puts her bag on the blanket and sets her pig spot out. She'll carry him for a little bit longer as she says hi to a few people, and maybe put him down if anything happens later. It's still early but... hopefully a lot of people will come, and hopefully it will be fun ]
I'm glad that you came. [ She gives a smile to the person she's approached. There's a lot of hope for the day - that new friends can be made, that it'll be fun. She knows that not everyone here knows what a beach party is but there's always something to pick up in Wonderland, right? Maybe if they came they'd like it. If not... they'd know ]

[She squints a little at Quinn in particular, though.] You makin' sure you're staying hydrated? Don't want you gettin' a heatstroke in your condition.

[Frank just got here last week, so he doesn't know many people that aren't his friends from back home yet. And there's even some people from his world he didn't know before he got to wonderland, like Clarisse. So when he saw the network post he thought it'd be the best chance to get to know new people.]
I'm Frank, by the way. [He smiles sheepishly, offering a hand.]

[A certain smiling blonde can be seen a few yards back from the shoreline, happily kneeling by a growing mound of sand. The shape is currently indistinguishable as she continues to pile more and more, higher and higher...but it's a pretty safe bet that Brittany's working on a sand castle. While singing absently to herself.]
no subject
That was before he saw Brittany by the large mound of sand. Peter had made the mistake about telling James about the girl who had made him so flustered his first day here. He tried to pretend that he hadn't seen her but James had. He was unceremoniously pushed forward, leaving him stumbling towards the large pile of sound. By the time he had righted himself to turn and yell at James, his mate was long gone having apparated with a loud pop.
Brilliant. What was he to do now?]
Uhm, hi. I'm ... Peter. I don't know if you remember me but... um, well, that's a lovely... pile of sand you have there.

She had no idea there was even a beach. A sea much like the one she had seen in District 4. The memories of that particular part of the Victory Tour are some of the few decent ones she has. Time spent in the waves with Peeta.
Before everything fell apart.
For now, though, she stays on the outskirts of the party. She's covered from head to toe despite the warmth of the summer sun. It's become a habit for her, to cover up scars as much as possible. And she carries her bow and quiver. Just in case.
But as she wanders on the edge of the tide, there's a look of awe on her face. She'll never get used to the expanse of the ocean. Ever.]
no subject
[ when katniss is by the tide, that's when finnick deems it enough of a swim, needing the sand to stick to his skin as he dries off and sees if this party is anything like the ones hosted back in district 4, when his family and friends chose to ignore the heavy atmosphere weighing upon them and chose to celebrate rather than brood. as he approaches, he shakes his head, hair sticking up at all ends, before he kicks water at her, smiling. ] Isn't it a little dangerous for the Girl on Fire to stand so close to the water?

James does not see what there is to have fun, so he's kinda awkwardly sitting off to the side, watching folks. He hasn't been socialized. It's not his fault.
Sitting in the sand isn't hard for him. He's wearing the black jacket, open over some sort of white t-shirt, and his dark jeans. He didn't quite leave behind the MiniCap-ness. ]

But even more importantly than sandwiches, Tohru has a whole watermelon on a sheet, some blindfolds, and a large stick, which might seem strange to someone who isn't from Japan, but it's a very normal beach party game where she's from. Anyone who approaches curiously will get a similar pitch:]
It's a game from my world! Um, you put on the blindfold, spin around in a circle three times, and then try to break open the watermelon with a stick! And once it's broken open, everyone can eat it! Would you like to try?

Half these girls were barely covered! Here she was, thinking her own purple tankini top and boy shorts were daring. They certainly showed her.]
[Once she could get her cheeks to stop burning for two seconds, she dared glance up once more, golden orbs peering over the rims of her sunglasses. Frank's influence had gotten her to the beach. But...now what?]

Now, might not be an expert, but I don't think we can officially call this a beach party without a game of some kind. Anyone wanna play?

Ultimately deciding to give it a try, he arrives at the beach, seemingly out of nowhere should anyone be looking in his direction. He sticks out rather like a sore thumb compared to everyone else; knowing little about beach parties and human pastimes, he hasn't shown up in a swimsuit, rather in his typical Weiner Hut uniform, bright red and white. Not that he takes any notice of his not being appropriately dressed, of course. No, no, he just stands off to the side of the beach, taking everything in, almost studying the whole thing.
Should anyone want to approach the awkwardly out of place angel, they're plenty free to--he'd come down here to try talking with humans, after all.]
no subject
The teenager stops, regardless, sort of waffling on whether or not to actually talk to him or not. It's obvious he has something to say with the way his mouth is hanging open... or perhaps he's trying to catch flies... He crosses his arms over his chest, defensive without even realising it.
This? Isn't what he expected from Angels.... Weird... awful clothes....
Either way, it's obvious the werewolf isn't making any attempt to actually be a threat. ]

He's not sure what people from the future wear to beach parties, so he does a terrible thing and makes a vague request to his closet: gimme what people wear to beach parties.
The bikini top doesn't fit but god help you all he stuffs himself into the bikini bottoms. With unicorns on his crotch, whiskey in hand, giant scars visible and equally awful sunglasses perched on his head, he heads down to the beach with a huge grin on his face. He is the epitome of fashion and boy does he hope there's food.
Luckily everyone is spared the presence of his raptors but don't worry, he makes up for it with shoes.
This is clearly what everyone should wear to beach parties, he thinks to himself.

Eventually, he wanders down from the mansion to join the ranks of people enjoying their day on the sand, hands in the pockets of his sweater. He's not dressed to swim, having not wanted to make a drowning hazard of himself; instead, it's just a pair of shorts and a t-shirt underneath the sweater for him today. If it gets too warm, he can strip down to his shirt.
That's about as adventurous as Adam sees himself getting.
If Adam spots a face he knows, he might say "hi" by approaching or waving on his way by, but otherwise he can be found minding his own business for half an hour or so, just checking out the sights.]
no subject
Trying to be polite, he flies the relatively short distance between them, disappearing from one side of the beach and reappearing on the other, but leaves a few feet of space between them. Surprise, Adam! It's your favourite angel!]

Cigarette in hand, sunglasses on and clad in a pair of paint-stained board shorts, Jesse strolls down to the beach fashionably late, mind set on nothing in particular.
Well... Maybe nothing. He's also carrying a six-pack of some sweet not-beer or other and there's a joint in his pocket. Sharing is caring, so if that's your thing...]
