[ open ] highschool never ends
Who: Allison Argent, Annabeth Chase, Mary Margaret (
cinnie) and YOU!
Where: all over the high school!
When: the event.
Rating: PG-PG13?
Summary: Catch-all for the event!
The Story:
[ feel free to use any of the below scenarios, anything we've previous plotted, or just make up something on your own!
Allison Argent, a third year student in class 3-1, on the archery team, and can be found just about anywhere around the school. She likes to wander when she can find time off, but she's not one to skip school, so if she's coming to stop by the few skippers she knows she's most likely on an errand for a teacher. Other than that, she is the captain of the archery team, and tends to stop by a lot of club practices and knows a few members of the martial arts and kendo club members because of that. In the festival she'll be bouncing around to the different events, or waiting in the restaurant her class has decided to put on. At the dance she'll be making stops by all her friends, just trying to track them down and say hi.
Annabeth Chase will be a little busier, most likely stressed out of her mind about the upcoming festival. However, because of her position in student government, and her rank in her classes (2-3), she can be found walking around the school getting other things done. She knows quite a few of both upper and under classmen because of how involved she is, and while a lot of her time is spent making sure her trouble-making younger cousin Clarisse isn't causing trouble, she is usually on top of just about everything going on in school.
She'll be spending most of the festival trying to micromanage the karaoke bar, checking in on her friends and their respective events, or being dragged around to actually have fun. What's fun? Does it involve organizing things?
Mary Margaret will be all over the place, honestly. She's incredibly social and outgoing and is more likely to spend her free time checking in on her friends than anything else. She's a good student, though, so you'll only really find her out and about between classes or during breaks. Mary Margaret's also in the kendo club, so there's a chance she'll be running either to or from that practice. She has a tendency to jump around a bunch, though, so if anything she might even run into someone in the hallway - accidentally of course!
Her class is 1-1 and they're putting on a play, for which she's been chosen as Juliet, so there will be a lot of stressing and running around worrying about her part. As for the dance, she actually has a date, but there is a good chance she'll be able to stop by her friends at least for a little bit. ]

Catches her after the Play - it's now or never time
The play is over now and he can stop glaring at the kid who kissed Mary Margaret on stage. He heads backstage... not for Mary Margaret, you understand, but his buddy Levi is in the cast and it would be rude of him if he didn't tease his mate for the tights.
But it isn't Levi he runs into first, it's Mary Margaret, and Bigby bumps into her shoulder just for a reason to speak to her.]
Sorry about that. Sorry. Hey, aren't you Mary Margaret? You were Juliet in the play tonight. Um, it was pretty good, if you like that Shakespeare sort of stuff.
[Oh that Bigby. He's a smooth operator.}
[OOC: It's Bigby Wolf, otherwise known as
c:
Sorry! Sorry! No, it's my fault. [ is out of her mouth before she really gets a good look at who it is she's run into. when she does, her cheeks go a little red - she knows him. or...has seen him around campus. stared at him standing outside ditching class, or caught his eyes after a kendo practice.
not that she's ever gotten the courage to go talk to him. what would he want to talk to her about anyway? ]
Bigby! I mean- yes, I'm Mary Margaret. Hi. [ wow, they're both just super smooth today aren't they. ] Oh, you really thought so? I mean- it's not Shakespeare's best play by far, and working Hamlet into the plot was really difficult, but we tried. I'm glad you enjoyed it!
[ her smile turns into a little smirk there, though, because she can see right through that. even if her heart is just about to beat out of her chest. ]
If you like that Shakespeare stuff, I mean.

AAALLLISSSSON
[ she's blowing off art classes of course, because what's the point? she's only going to turn in some mess of an attempt that gets turned down anyway. arya is just skipping a few steps! at any rate, it seemed like a better idea to go hang around where the archery team practice, mostly because of one key person.
that person is allison, and as the other girl starts to pack up, arya sidles over. ]
What did you get stuck doing for this stupid festival, anyway? Want to trade? Because I'm going to explode if I get yelled at about 'artistic expression' one more time.
[ she leans up against the nearest wall with a lazy grin, lifting up one of her paint-stained hands and wiggling it a little. clearly she's not here to help, just waste time. ]
no subject
but allison likes to think it's because she needs the time to practice, since she's not really one to slack off on anything. it's not until arya walks up, though, that she really notices how much her class really has it good.
she shoots off her last practice shot, lowering her bow when she hears the twip of the arrow hitting it's mark. content with the shot, she moves to pack up, arya choosing then to walk over. ]
Some kind of restaurant- I'm on the wait staff for it. What are you guys doing again? [ she looks up in time to see the paint-stained hands, laughing. ] Ouch. Looks like fun.

He might be embittered by the idea of true love these days, but it doesn't actually have a standing in his disdain for how people look at the work. It is literally making fun of that kind of thinking.
So he's gone off, looking for Mary Margaret. And he finds her-- or, more like she finds him by running into him, and he reaches out to grab her shoulders to make sure neither of them go falling in the middle of the hallway. ]
Someone's in a hurry.
no subject
but he gets sent to the props department, and mm lets it slip she knows the roles early enough in the process that she gets saddled with the main role, and here they are. running around like it's the day before, even if they have a couple more days until the festival.
really, it's just mary margaret, who wants to help with the costumes and the props and the other actors and has her own lines. there's just so many ways to get involved that she can't remember the last time she took a break, or stopped moving. up until she collides and feels a pair of familiar hands on her shoulders and when she looks up she just ends up breaking into a grin. ]
Sorry- just trying to get this stuff done. [ she's holding various pieces of cloth in her arms, probably pieces of costumes. who really knows.
and while she knows she should probably keep going - there are most likely people waiting for her - she has to pause. because it's derek and she feels like it's been ages since she's had time to talk with him (since they biked to school that morning). ] How's the setting going?

Annabeth;
But he has to take care of herself. Which is why he's decided to visit the karaoke bar with a sandwich he tosses at Annabeth for her to catch.]
And I've got some juice, too, if you're thirsty.
no subject
no, but really, annabeth can't quite remember the last time she had something to eat, or even sat down for more than a second or two. the lounge is going well enough, and everyone who comes in seems to be having a good time, but annabeth is running off so much adrenaline at this point if she sits still for more than a few moments she gets nervous.
but when a sandwich is tossed at her head, she catches it easily enough, reflexes still on point despite her current state. she smiles when she sees it's frank, though, nodding to one of the students in her class in charge of watching the machine before she walks on over to her step-cousin. ]

instead he's wandering the school grounds, poking his head into classes that seem teacher-free, and going about while wasting his time. it isn't until he hears the odd sound of something hitting its target that dean's drawn to the area where he knows archery club is held, though he's never seen the club in action.
it's a lot more interesting than paperwork thrown together by the more serious students of his class, that's for sure. especially when it's allison showing off her more than nifty skills with a bow and arrow.
dean doesn't approach until she's off to the side, a few other students up for their turn in the meanwhile. ]
That looked pretty cool.
[ hey how u doin' u come here often B) ]
no subject
they'd just be allowed to practice.
she goes through her shots, manages to do much better than she has been, and it leaves her grinning a little proudly at herself. it's not her best, but it's good, and if she can keep it up then she shouldn't have a problem this weekend.
after she's done she goes to pack up, and it's only then that she notices the boy hovering over off to the side where her bag is. she's pretty sure he's in the grade below her, but she can't remember which one. allison smiles anyway when she walks over, amused if anything. ]
Yeah? It was okay. Not my best shots. [ casually starting to pack her stuff away. ]

they're both running something to the office for a teacher, so it makes sense to strike up a convo rather than to make the long awkward walk in silence. ] Any booths you're most looking forward to at the festival?
[ word carries fast, and their classmates like to brag. ]
no subject
she's also easy enough to make conversation with, so when he asks his question she hums for a bit, thinking. ] Not sure, actually. The class doing the Haunted House has a lot of people who I think could get really into it. Maybe that one. What about you?

MM!
After numerous attempts to run him from the premises, the school has practically thrown up their hands and given up. But that doesn't mean he's allowed inside any of the buildings, a fact the young dragon knows well because of all the teachers who have shoo'd him and yelled when he's poked his heads into their classroom. These days the dragon with the lame fin on his tail, incapable of flight, concentrates his efforts on raiding runs to the kitchen.
It's difficult, though, when you're as long as he is and as black as night, in sharp contrast to the school colors. The Nightfury is busy checking along an adjacent corridor when he spots what he thinks is an opening and attempts to run through as fast as he can while being quiet.
Which means he runs smack into a girl he'd managed to miss, hurrying along in the opposite direction. The dragon freezes in place. If she yells or screams, his whole operation could be compromised and he'll have to escape the building for a few hours.]
no subject
and as it turns out, dragons running around school grounds didn't used to be on that list. but now apparently are.
to her credit, she doesn't scream. just kind of stands there with her eyes wide for a few moments waiting to see what the dragon will do. if it'll breathe fire at her, or fly off, or kidnap her like the dragons in all of her stories. when a few moments pass and none of the above happen, she starts to breathe again, trying to keep herself calm. ]
Hello. [ do dragons talk? she doesn't know, but she smiles anyway. ] Are you...lost?

he might say that he's waiting for Mary Margaret (which isn't a lie!) but he's absolutely hiding. tucked away in a corner while watching kendo practice, eyes following her movements in time with the others on the team. it's difficult not to watch.
Nico had briefly considered searching out Derek, or just hanging out with Hazel, but Mary Margaret was always provided a safe space for him to exist in.
spending the entire practice time watching (while he could be doing something productive like homework), Nico does his best to be patient while the team finishes up, fingers drumming across his knees that are pulled up to his chest. ]
no subject
but during one of her breaks, mary margaret notices something that has her a little curious. just something about the way nico's fingers drum against his leg. she gets back to finish her sets up as quickly as she can, wondering if she was just seeing something, but maybe she wasn't. either way, she finishes with her reps and packs up, heading over to where nico's sitting and sliding into the seat next to him. ]

she's sitting at one of the tables because there aren't any other customers, legs crossed and chin in her palm. she was watching the people walk by outside, enjoying the festival, wondering how much longer they had left when he asks his question, making her laugh a little. ]

allie!!!
(did he spent the whole time pining after lydia? not the point.)
the point of the fact is that now the music has picked up again, and stiles makes his way across to the crowd when he spots a familiar head of hair and leans over her shoulder, tapping the one he's not leaning over. is he helping scott? sort of. does he really want to dance with allison? absolutely. they've become pretty good friends over the years, and stiles likes her a lot. even if she could kick his ass. (maybe that's part of why he likes her so much.) ] Can I have this dance? Y'know, platonically.
no subject
( his pining goes on noticed, but she and lydia just kind of laugh it off, enjoying the dance )
it's not until she feels the tap at her shoulder, falling for the oldest trick in the book and laughing at herself when she rights around, that she sees stiles again. she doesn't mind the closeness, with how good of friends they've become over the last couple of years physical contact isn't anything, so his arm around her shoulder has her reaching up to grab his hand. ]
Oh, definitely. As long as it's platonic. [ allison excuses herself from whatever classmate she'd been talking too, pulling stiles to the dance floor with her. ]
wow I never got a notif for this?? dw you're rude
dw :c
Allison!
He might have a bit of an ego at this age, something maturity will later tame.
After classes, he wanders over to where he knows the archery team meets, smiling as he approaches. ]
It looks like your team could use some extra help.
[ Presumptuous of him? Maybe. ]
no subject
which means she's heard about robin, a guy who hasn't been to any of the practices but has made it to some of the ranges and has been seen practicing, independently. part of her had wanted to track him down, convince him to join the team, but third year had already started getting away from her and well-
but he's here, and while the underclassmen start setting up. allison's getting her gloves together off to the side, about to go join the other upperclassmen who were chatting about the next tournament, when he walks up. her eyebrows shoot up at the comment, smiling lightly. ]

Mary Margaret!
Hey, watch where you're going!
[She folds her arms, glaring harshly. If it isn't one of her favorite targets. It just seems unfair that a first year can show up and be so damn cheerful and popular and breeze through everything this stupid school throws at them without a care in the world.
It pisses her off for reasons she can't really define.]
Look at you, running around here like you own the place.
[You're supposed to build your school life around the upperclassmen, don't you know that?]
no subject
so there's this collision, and there's this interaction, and mary margaret is just absolutely bright red. not because she fears emma, which might be why most people react like that, but because she thinks she hurt the other. ]
Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry. [ excuse the hands that are out, trying to help. ] I wasn't looking and I should have been and I just didn't see you- are you okay?

o cousin of mine
So, uh... [ real smooth start there, clarisse. she pokes at her curry with her spoon and mashes her rice into a nice flat pile. she's avoiding eye contact for a reason, but she's trying to play it cool, like the totally cool kid she is. ] Someone asked me to the dance. [ not that she cares... because dances are stupid. she's just telling ab because... why not. ]
no subject
they still had lunch from time to time, still hung out after classes. annabeth still checks in with the other student council members from clarisse's class. still worries, from time to time, and makes a point of seeking her out and reprimanding her about skipping.
but lately she's been so busy with the festival, she hadn't had time to do any of the above, and is a little surprised when clarisse sits down at the table with her at lunch. not a bad surprised, just didn't expect it.
so uh and annabeth's eyebrows are up, her attention off the lists spread out around her at the table. don't think your cousin doesn't notice you avoiding eye contact, ma'am. ]
Wha- [ oh. oh. annabeth pauses for a minute to let that sink in before she's grinning. ] Wait, seriously? That's awesome! Who was it?
