Summary: Becky sets Wonderlanders up on blind dates. Also, will be image heavy.
The Story:

You receive a letter under your door sometime on the afternoon of Tuesday, September 9. This letter will be addressed to you in fancy script (Becky's best attempt at calligraphy) from a "secret admirer." You might be wondering, but it isn't February! What's with all the romantic nonsense? Well, my good friend, romance can be celebrated on more than just one day out of the year. That day happens to be today. The letter will ask you to meet your secret admirer at 6PM at a designated location. You'd best not be late! A night of romance (and perhaps even intimacy) awaits you! At least, she hopes so...

Which he's lifting the lid off his plate to look at the food, totally oblivious or ignoring Micheal's almost glare. He does put the cover back down and smiles at the other Michael once he's taken his seat.
There's a soft sigh to follow.]
I understand, but why go through all this trouble, every minute detail and provide us dinner if it's just a trap? This is too elaborate even for people wanting to do us harm. If they know you don't eat, if they want us dead, why bother with all of this?
[He shrugs, sitting back in his chair.]
You might have. We don't have to eat or drink either I just enjoy it. Do you not even imbibe?
[He quirks a brow at the intimacy comment, too curious for his own good.]
Yes, brother, [Looking to his twin.]
One does need to be familiar with someone to sleep with them. In fact, not even a name is needed.
[Then back to the other Michael.] What sort of obstacles?
no subject
He didn't know what he'd expected from the other, a mirror image of himself he supposed, but it was steadily growing clear that that wasn't the case.
His brows crease at the other Michael's mention of intimacy and greater obstacles, only shaking his head at Gabriel's quip in his direction, a slight quirk of his lips at his twins question.]
I, too, am curious as to what you mean, Michael.
[It was evident that the other angels were different from themselves, and, in Michael's mind, it was quite possible that his alternate self was unable to be intimate.]
no subject
It may not be quite the trouble you imagine it to be.
[Of course, the number of people in Wonderland who can do what he's just done is severely restricted, but his point stands. For some people this wouldn't be considered "trouble" or work at all. The number of humans who actively enjoy menial tasks like food preparation or decorating their living spaces is surprisingly high.
That does not, however, seem to be what most interests the other pair of archangels. Michael looks between the two, gauging whether or not he's just missed a joke. They seem to be serious.]
I'm not seeking a mate.
[Until Wonderland, Michael had scarcely spent time in a vessel, and if he didn't need John alive and well he'd abandon this one too. He has yet to see the appeal of the physical plane, casual sex included. His experiences being rendered wholly human have also been wholly unpleasant.]
no subject
He breaks himself from it to look up at the other Michael.]
Alright, so that's impressive and easy for you but I don't know any others who are capable of doing that. Other Angels from your world aside. And who from your world would want to put us together like this?
[He takes a bite of the pastry and is lost for a moment, not bothering to cage the noise of absolute pleasure he gets from such a simple thing. It's not bad. In fact, it's pretty damn tasty. He savors the little croissant and all it's buttery, chocolatey goodness. Sorry Michael, he missed the not wanting a mate thing, too busy having a mouth orgasm.]
no subject
His gaze leaves his alternate, landing on his brother, watching as he enjoys the croissant and sighing a little as he'd never enjoyed food or drink like his twin does, but he quickly looks back at the other Michael.]
I'm not entirely certain, but I don't think any of us are seeking a mate here. [He could only speak for himself, not his brother, so he only assumed that was true of all of them.] But, what obstacles did you refer to.
[He wasn't going to drop it, he was too curious for that. Michael wanted to know, and it was evident by the way he moved his hands to fold in his lap, and leaned forward a bit.]
no subject
After the moment passes, he turns back to the discussion at hand and shakes his head. If anything, those from his universe - particularly the hunters - would prefer to keep them apart. Archangels with bonds to other archangels are more dangerous than those without.]
I can't think of anyone from my world who'd have something to gain from an alliance between us.
[Once more, the other Michael demands his attention with a question. His brows draw down and he looks a bit more put-out having to answer him that he did when answering Gabriel. He'd thought he'd made himself clear.]
Are you deaf? My lack of interest in you is the obstacle.
no subject
I'm typically not the dating type. I just like my casual flings, thank you very much. [He downs the last portion of his pastry before frowning softly at the other Michael.]
What about me? Am I interesting?
[He picks up his glass to give the liquid a sniff, was it still wine?? He swirls it and sips anyway. ]
no subject
Well.
[Michael leaned back, no longer curious. Frankly, he was disappointed that the other angels didn't suffer from an affliction that caused them to be unable to be intimate. It would have made more sense.]
Does it matter what he thinks of you, brother?
[He didn't move, or turn his head, just flicked his eyes towards Gabriel a moment, then down at the sweets in front of him.]
no subject
[He gives his alternate a flat, almost disappointed look. He'd said what he'd meant, as clearly as he could. Could he be blamed if this other archangel was too thick to follow his meaning? Of course not.
The lack of enthusiasm in his expression remains as his gaze slides once again over to Gabriel. There's a temperamental rise and fall in the intangible feathers of his wings. Gabriel is pushing, but not so hard as to anger him.]
I'm spoken for, Gabriel.
[Simply put, he can't properly evaluate the other's appeal when another still has claim to all of his interest. He hopes that's good enough to put an end to the discussion of intimacy.]
If you're both quite finished pressing me on the topic, perhaps we could make a more productive use of our time?
no subject
I was only asking if I were interesting, not that you were interested IN me.
[He sighs and shakes his head as if he's somewhat disappointed that he was misunderstood. Even if he definitely wants Michael to be interested. However he can't help his curiosity.]
Spoken for? By whom?
no subject
Michael reached for his drink, sipping it a little as he watched the two.]
I could hazard a guess as to who, Gabriel.
[The archangel had picked up on that, not so long ago. In a garden, with another world's smooth talking Morningstar.]
But, Michael should tell you.
no subject
That isn't relevant.
[As for distracting Gabriel... he snaps his fingers, and yet another tantalizing edible item appears on the table before him. Look, an entire chocolate cake! Kindly use it to plug that face-hole you keep using to ask him odd and uncomfortable questions with.]
In more important matters - of course you're interesting. Our worlds have only so much in common. Your Father is truly disappointed with humanity?
[This, too, is something of a contentious subject, but Michael is genuinely intrigued by what little he knows about Gabriel and Michael's universe.]
no subject
There's almost a soft, disappointed sigh at the thought. Taken means off-limits and that's just so very sad in his mind. Why would you want to be tied down? He certainly wouldn't, but then that was more a Michael thing. Even if his brother did participate in Orgies, he had his preferred mate who apparently arranged said orgies for them. So that didn't count. He had been tied down for a time, until the other got wise.
Gabriels eyes fall to that large, distracting, death by chocolate cake and one has to wonder if Michael was doing that on purpose. He likes his sweets but even THAT looks a bit too rich. He's careful to cut into it and take a sliver for himself anyway. No use NOT trying it at least, which in-and-of-itself may be a show of trust.
He takes a moment to savor a bite, considering Michael's question. He swallows with a soft hum of approval.]
Yes. He abandoned them and us because they disgusted him. I don't know how they are in your world but in ours they're destructive, killing each other and everything around them.
[Though he's sure his Twin will probably wish to counter that with something positive about humanity. SIGH. He'll correct it but for now he's eating his slice of cake.]
no subject
And why does his other self keep trying to entice his brother with treats. He didn't like it, not one bit. Gabriel wasn't a small child that could be quieted with cake, no matter how much he liked sweets, or how delicious said cake appeared to be.
His grip tightened on the cup in his hand at the mention of their father, and after Gabriel has said his piece, Michael just sighs. He didn't want to speak of their father, argue with Gabriel about it, explain himself to anyone, or defend his beliefs. But, he does give a little bit.]
It's all speculation. No one knows why he truly left. And anyone.. [He looked at Gabriel.] ..saying they know the real reason, are only assuming to know his motives.
