Summary: Becky sets Wonderlanders up on blind dates. Also, will be image heavy.
The Story:

You receive a letter under your door sometime on the afternoon of Tuesday, September 9. This letter will be addressed to you in fancy script (Becky's best attempt at calligraphy) from a "secret admirer." You might be wondering, but it isn't February! What's with all the romantic nonsense? Well, my good friend, romance can be celebrated on more than just one day out of the year. That day happens to be today. The letter will ask you to meet your secret admirer at 6PM at a designated location. You'd best not be late! A night of romance (and perhaps even intimacy) awaits you! At least, she hopes so...

[George startles just a bit, turning to see a vaguely familiar face. It isn't until he's not someone she knows better that she realizes she'd been sort of hoping this would be a Real Thing. It would've been a nice change of pace. Instead, this does in fact seem to be an event.

Not that that is the thing she brings up first. No, she has to get being flustered and blushing out of the way first.]

N-no! I mean, I got a note from my secret admirer-- uh, or someone saying-- uh.

[Ahem.] I think it's an event. I didn't write a note.

[ He holds up the envelope he'd gotten slipped under his door earlier. ]

Not even this one?

Huh. I thought events normally got announced with a bit more fanfare than this. This seems like way more of a personal touch.

[ Not that he's been through that many, but enough to notice a trend in how they happened. ]

Oh well. At least we don't think we're a pair of giraffes or something at the same time. If this is as extreme as this event gets, I'll take it. Since we're here, wanna catch a movie?

[ He flashes her a crooked grin at that and steps into the room, glancing around curiously as he takes in the setup. It'd seem a shame to let it go to waste. ]

[She frowns. He's right. There wasn't any message from the characters. That's...different.

As he steps forward, apparently pleased to just go right along with this, she hesitates in the doorway.]

Just. Watch a movie?

[Is that it?]

[ He glances over his shoulder at her and arches an eyebrow at her before his lips quirk upwards in a playful smirk. ]

Well, I dunno about you, luv, but I usually treat a girl to dinner before more than that.

Even with all the zombies? Or are you talking about before that happened?

[She gives into his invitation, though, and crosses to check out the selection. She's disappointed to find they're all romances. It would've been pretty great to throw Night of the Living Dead at him.]

Wow. Whoever put this together really had an agenda.

Just because there are zombies doesn't mean my manners have to fly out the window.

[ He points this out as if it makes perfectly logical sense and maybe it does. Crossing over to where she's sorting through the selection, he peers over her shoulder and starts laughing. ]

Well. It is a blind date. Apparently they had something specific in mind. Romancing the Stone's not bad. [ He noted, catching sight of one of the titles. ] I haven't heard of a lot of the rest of them, but I gotta admit, I've never watched a whole lot of movies like this. There were usually more explosions. If you want something else, though I bet we could raid one of the closets in a nearby room?

...I guess I don't really care. We could try that stone one, I guess.

[She glances at him, still a little uncertain about this. It'd be easier if he weren't attractive.

George moves over to sit on a cushion, looking around the room. It's hard not to be anxious, since it really does look so...cozy and romantic and nice.]

Who would set us up on a blind date anyway? I mean. I don't even know what you do on one.

Alright.

[ He plucks it out and carries it over to the player, popping the disc inside before coming back to drop down beside her on the next cushion over as he waits for the menus to come up.

Her question has him casting a sideways glance at her and lifting a shoulder in a half-hearted shrug. ]

No idea, to be honest. Maybe we have a friend in common? It's possible in this place, I suppose. Unless Wonderland decided to play Cupid. Who knows in this place? And I've completely forgotten my manners anyway. I'm Simon, by the way. Since that's... probably good to know.
