Who: Erwin Smith, others and open
Where: Mansion, grounds, beach
When: 10/4-10/8ish
Rating: Varies
Summary: Exploring the mansion/grounds, Survey Corps officer bonding time
The Story:
Mansion- Interior.
The surface of the mirrors were cool to the touch but unyielding against his fingertips. Perhaps today they simply looked like any ordinary mirrors because he was looking for something, anything that would give some kind of clue. He wanted to get to the other side to explore once more, find some answer as his time over there had been short as it was.
But the mirrors were closed once more and there was not even the glimpse of his other half bearing the red bolo tie and unicorn upon his jacket. It hadn't been out of the realm of possibility that he would have joined the Military Police, it had been a consideration and an option for him if it hadn't been for his goal of joining the Corps.
The surface of the mirror was still cold under his fingertips as he moved away with a frown. All the mirror reflected was the late afternoon sun, his own wavering reflection as he walked down the corridor, footsteps echoing. There were more questions than answers here, that was at the core of his frustration, but he was certain it was only a matter of time before they would start to uncover something of use.
Mansion- Exterior/Grounds
After bed rest, the sun felt good on his face. The scenery was strange- checkered hills and laid out gardens that would have looked opulent even for Wall Sina.
A few moments in the sun, moving around at least more than just going from his room to the library, it feels good. Long term recovery and building up his strength would take some time so walking was the first step in getting back to himself.
He squinted against the sun as he looked over the checkered hills- getting out was still a priority even if he knew what they would be going home to. Especially because he knew what they had to go home to. Even if his plans wouldn't work out as he had expected, he had a duty to humanity. For the moment though, he would focus on getting his strength back day by day.
The Beach. Closed to Hange & Levi.
It had been Levi's idea that they needed to get out of the mansion and do something to 'relax'. There were no budgets to balance, paperwork to submit to Central, nothing that was constantly demanding their attention here other than recon work that just ended up with nothing. What Levi meant by 'relaxing', Erwin wasn't certain but Hange hadn't given him room to refuse.
He had a couple blankets over his one arm, clutching a bottle of what promised to be top shelf whiskey generously provided by the mansion as he followed Hange towards the beach. He had heard the surf outside the window in the distance but to see the water stretching out without limit, to touch the horizon, was a different experience entirely.
For a moment, he stood there, only able to stare as the sun began to dip over the horizon. For over a century humanity had been imprisoned and denied any chance to even see what he saw spread out in front of him at the moment before he was distracted by the other two.

In the mansion
Good day. [She offered as she walked to him. Levi had briefly pointed this man out to her as being his commander. Or at least ex-commander. Wasn't her business.] Commander Smith if my memory serves me correct?
no subject
Yes, that is me. [Erwin said with a polite nod of his head. He had to admit he was rather curious about her, considering Levi hadn't exactly been forthcoming and Hange only knew so many details.] You must be Integra, if I'm not mistaken. It's a pleasure to meet you at last.
no subject
Pleasure is all mine. I hope you find yourself well and if there is anything I can do to help you in this world, please let me know. We have an agreement, after all.
no subject
Thank you, the offer is appreciated and I will make sure to keep it in mind should anything come up.

[You should probably treat them better than you normally do. Let her put in her two cents.] What are you doing in regards to their morale? This is probably the best time for it.
The Beach
This is going to be a great evening. Look at that sunset! [She inhaled.] Even the air smells wonderful! It sure beats the city.
no subject
It's the middle of no where, what do you except?
[In his arms was an umbrella, a few towels and another basket of goodies.]
Where do I dump this shit?
[They had the beach to themselves it looked like.]
no subject
It's better than the Walls. [He agreed as a spot was selected, putting things down carefully on the sand before helping by spreading a blanket on the ground with one hand.]
no subject
Have you ever seen something so perfect... [Excuse her boys, she's just going to close her eyes and enjoy the sounds of those waves!]
no subject
It would be better if this were are own world.
[But hey....he'll take what he can get. He paused to place the things he had in his arms on the sand.]
no subject
[Erwin agreed as he watched the sun slipping below the horizon bit by bit until only a bit of the disk remained. Even if they don't remember it when they return home, it doesn't matter. They are here now.]
no subject
[She continued to breath in that salty air before moving over to the blanket and starting to kick off her boots.]
Should we eat first before wetting our feet?
no subject
[Because if she starts swimming after they eat it's gonna have to be him that comes to save her ass if she drowns.]
Because I'm not saving you if you cramp up and sink like a rock.
no subject
I'm sure Hange will be careful, Levi.
no subject
[Damn straight, she went there.]
no subject
You know damn well how tall I am.
[IT'S 5'3.]
Can you even swim?
no subject
Perhaps we should eat first. [Erwin suggested before someone decided to toss the other into the water.]

I made us some lunches. They're called 'bento boxes'.
[She knew the boys were hefty when it came to food so she brought out four in total popping them open. There were sandwiches and fruits alongside some extra stuff in case they needed some more. Illumi had been helping her learn and her skills were getting better. One of the boxes had apple slices cut into the shape of people. She had drawn on silly faces and made them look like they were Titans. She grabbed one and showed it off.]
Look at these, I think I'm getting better.
no subject
You made these?
[They actually look edible so...good job Hange.]
Not bad.
no subject
These look very good, Hange, thank you for making these for us.

Vengance never tasted so sweet. [She bit the things head off.]
no subject
[But he gets what she is saying. Even if it is a bit odd. But he will try one as well...just to make sure they really are alright before Erwin eats one.]
