Who: Erwin Smith, others and open
Where: Mansion, grounds, beach
When: 10/4-10/8ish
Rating: Varies
Summary: Exploring the mansion/grounds, Survey Corps officer bonding time
The Story:
Mansion- Interior.
The surface of the mirrors were cool to the touch but unyielding against his fingertips. Perhaps today they simply looked like any ordinary mirrors because he was looking for something, anything that would give some kind of clue. He wanted to get to the other side to explore once more, find some answer as his time over there had been short as it was.
But the mirrors were closed once more and there was not even the glimpse of his other half bearing the red bolo tie and unicorn upon his jacket. It hadn't been out of the realm of possibility that he would have joined the Military Police, it had been a consideration and an option for him if it hadn't been for his goal of joining the Corps.
The surface of the mirror was still cold under his fingertips as he moved away with a frown. All the mirror reflected was the late afternoon sun, his own wavering reflection as he walked down the corridor, footsteps echoing. There were more questions than answers here, that was at the core of his frustration, but he was certain it was only a matter of time before they would start to uncover something of use.
Mansion- Exterior/Grounds
After bed rest, the sun felt good on his face. The scenery was strange- checkered hills and laid out gardens that would have looked opulent even for Wall Sina.
A few moments in the sun, moving around at least more than just going from his room to the library, it feels good. Long term recovery and building up his strength would take some time so walking was the first step in getting back to himself.
He squinted against the sun as he looked over the checkered hills- getting out was still a priority even if he knew what they would be going home to. Especially because he knew what they had to go home to. Even if his plans wouldn't work out as he had expected, he had a duty to humanity. For the moment though, he would focus on getting his strength back day by day.
The Beach. Closed to Hange & Levi.
It had been Levi's idea that they needed to get out of the mansion and do something to 'relax'. There were no budgets to balance, paperwork to submit to Central, nothing that was constantly demanding their attention here other than recon work that just ended up with nothing. What Levi meant by 'relaxing', Erwin wasn't certain but Hange hadn't given him room to refuse.
He had a couple blankets over his one arm, clutching a bottle of what promised to be top shelf whiskey generously provided by the mansion as he followed Hange towards the beach. He had heard the surf outside the window in the distance but to see the water stretching out without limit, to touch the horizon, was a different experience entirely.
For a moment, he stood there, only able to stare as the sun began to dip over the horizon. For over a century humanity had been imprisoned and denied any chance to even see what he saw spread out in front of him at the moment before he was distracted by the other two.

Vengance never tasted so sweet. [She bit the things head off.]

[But he gets what she is saying. Even if it is a bit odd. But he will try one as well...just to make sure they really are alright before Erwin eats one.]
