Losing control - OTA
Who: Dominion!Gabriel and anyone I plotted with but OTA
Where: All over Wonderland
When: 19th - 24th/ the duration of the event
Rating: R for gore, violence, language etc.
Summary: Gabriel can honestly say he's only had one death but it's enough to set the event upon him and make his abilities drive him insane enough to start slaughtering anyone who happens to cross his path. Until the others find him and take him somewhere safe to keep watch until this is over.
The Story:
19th Through the mansion and to the bar.
[ Gabriel is already finding his patience is wearing thin. After Michael's visit he's more than a little agitated. The fact that his own brother is suffering and he can do nothing to help him because of his own afflictions, or the fact that the damn event, or whatever this is, seems to feel he needs to practically be inside Michael's head for a front-row seat to his hallucinations. As much as he wants to be there for his Twin he knows he can't and it's better for the both of them if he distances himself.
So he has, but now he's wandering trying to find solace, any peaceful, quiet place where he can sit and he can meditate and try to gain control. He's getting a headache from all the things he's occasionally blasted with, loud thoughts and the feelings of any near by. He grinds his teeth and seeks out the bar to drown himself. ]
20th-22nd Through the mansion and beyond
[Nothings working. He can't sleep even if he wanted to try and shut his mind off. He's weary of this game, angry, on edge. No amount of alcohol can stop this and he can't control it. He's tried everything. He's can't stand this anymore, it's getting worse, the silence between waves is less and less. Soon it's all running together and he can't turn it off. He's not even sure of what he's projecting himself, he's frustratingly aware that if he can hear them they may be able to hear him and know his secrets, his walls are down and there's nothing he can do about it. Every carefully crafted facet of his mind used to misdirect anyone inside it, or at least keep him from allowing any he makes connection with to get in. It's gone. All his defenses and power is worthless to the way he's out of control.
He needs to leave the mansion. He needs to get out and away from all of this.]
(Death toll - Pepper Pots (20th), Lana (21st), Ned (21st), Lilith and Bela harmed.)
End of 22nd into the 23rd Anywhere outside the mansion
[All rational thought is gone. All that consumes him is the rage and the need for blood. It makes him feel so relieved to tear humans apart. He's been caging it for so long now, that utter need and desire for slaughter. Only when he coves himself in their blood and hears their screams of terror and pain can he find peace. No more of their worthless thoughts and feelings. It grows quiet when they die by his hands. But it doesn't last so he has to keep killing, has to keep moving or he'll never sleep. Never regain himself again. It's all their fault. IT'S ALL THEIR FAULT. THEY MUST DIE.]
((ooc: Feel free to meet up with Gabriel, but be warned that if it's after the 22nd it's unlikely he will leave your character alive. If you would like a fight or angry encounter but survive you're more likely before the 22nd is up. I may make a post for him for anyone that wants to remain out of danger but wants to speak with him before he goes bat shit.
Around the end of the 23rd he'll be contained, so I'll make a closed thread for the folks I plotted with so we can take Gabe down and deal with him. You guys (IE this I plotted with) are welcome to jump on that any way you see fit or think is easiest. Interact with gabe or amongst yourselves :3 threadjack away as a mini log within a log.
If you need anything send a PM to this journal or find me on pluck at AceOfSwords))

23rd - 24th capture and attempted anchor... Closed
It's not that he's incapable of speech of course but he just has no patience to bother with it when he could be severing someone's head from their body. He's already covered in ichor, spattered with the blood of a few he's manages to take his anger out on. It felt good. He wanted more. It's just too bad this all has to end so soon with such a miniscule death count.]
mayhem time is go
It doesn't take long to track him down, a discordant jangle of anger, bloodlust and danger - the kind of danger that most people would have the good fucking sense to turn around and run away from.
But Gabriel had never been one for smart life choices in the end, right?
During their last meeting, Gabriel had accidentally picked up on a few stray thoughts from his alternate self. This time he's actively searching for him, scanning the storm of fire and anger for anything that was left of the angel beneath, anything worth reaching.
Well shit. Here's hoping he doesn't go and get himself killed again sticking his neck out for someone.] Ok, think it's time to call a time out on the maim-and-kill.

Why should I? It's helping.

21st, mansion grounds
What's the point of being a superhero if you don't try to save people, right? Even if she is scared shitless to do it.
She comes across a guy outside dressed in leather who is clearly affected by the event. She approaches him carefully. Her mind is racing with fear and worry but she's going to do this if it kills her. ]
Hey, is everything okay?
no subject
That laughter turns a bit wicked and dark and that grin twists at the edges to show just how much he's itching for this one. Oh how he's going to tear her apart, this little girl needs a wake up call about her hero fantasy and he's glad to do it. He can feel her fear, her worry, poor little creature has no idea what trouble she's just found.]
Everything appears to be going a bit insane, don't you think?
[He knows the question was more geared towards him but who can resist a chance to be a smart ass? He hisses a moment later which ruins his smirk but he can't help the booming headache he's getting from all the damn thoughts clouding his own.]
Honestly, I'm glad you're here I could use a distraction.
[Large, black-feathered wings spread out from his shoulders, primaries fanned. They arch behind him, curling a bit to reduce the drag as he lunges for her with something predatory and destructive.]
no subject
Okay, where were you hiding those?!
[ She fires an explosive blast at the ground, shooting herself up and out of the way. Just in time, too, because the guy goes barrelling past her. She lands behind him and turns, gathering power for another blast, this time aimed straight at him. ]
Calm down, man! No one is trying to hurt you here!
[ All she can do is hope and pray to whatever god is listening that he'll come around and see reason. ]
no subject
Not trying to hurt him huh?
The wing pushes aside the heat, and even if some of his feathers are still on fire he's barreling right for her. With his opposite wing he's swiping at her, turning his shoulder to bring the strong and sharp appendage down on her, feathers like honed steel.]

21 - By her room
The second she sees Gabriel, she relaxes slightly. Certainly her casual lover isn't affected by this? Not in the way the others are?]
Gabriel!
no subject
At the sound of his name he whips around towards her, fingertips of one hand near clawing into his hairline. He's disheveled looking and for as kind, flirtatious and friendly as he's been towards the demon since she arrived, it's clear he has no patience to keep up appearances. He doesn't care how desperate or frightened she is, he doesn't care what they've shared so far, to him it was only sex. She was still a demon. The FIRST demon to bow and join Lucifer.
Instinct has taken a fine time to grip him, filling him with anger and disgust. To be fair it's really been the from the start, all of it towards the humans and his desire for their destruction. Seeing the demon now only amplifies it and his lack of control over his ire and power is only going to be directed right at his natural enemy.]
You... [Is hissed with venom as he stalks towards her. Maybe somewhere in his twisted mind he believes he's being punished for being with her. Why else would he be afflicted with this?]
no subject
But that crazed expression, the hostility in his voice turns a switch inside her. Her hand raises, ready to keep him back telekinetically. If need be, she will use fire and light, willing to burn him to a crisp.]
Gabriel, don't.

Late 21st/early 22nd?
She roamed the halls of the mansion aimlessly, scared of her own shadow. Muttering to herself and flinching at the tiniest of sounds.]
It's not right...nothing...not right..wrong...I'm wrong.
[The words are repeated over and over again, her voice becoming increasingly anxious as Bela tried to distinguish what was real and what wasn't.]

Let go of me!
[When she looks up at the face of the person who had her, Bela doesn't see Gabriel. Instead, she sees her father, looming over her and looking just as terrifying as she remembers him to be.]

Nov. 21st
And Ned has no experiencing in treating others when he barely allows the examination room's light to be turned to him, wincing away from scrutiny like a nocturnal animal getting an eyeful of the hunter's flashlight.
Staying in the diner (or the kitchen, for that matter) wasn't an option. There were too many wanderers. Too many volatile individuals. Ned tends to the bees out at the edge of the garden, peeling himself out of a white suit after the cursory check-up and noticing a familiar face stalking through the gardens.
Another pie enthusiast and all-around dangerous person strictly because of his place in whatever Heavenly hierarchy exists, but a familiar face nonetheless.
Ned waves.]
no subject
It doesn't work. Not an inch is given and no relief comes. He's lost all control of his own mind and power and there's nothing he can do but suffer. He opens his eyes and practically roars out his frustration, only stilling when he spots the familiar man watching him from the edge of the garden. Unfortunately for Ned he's stopped thinking and his rage has taken hold of him. All he sees is a human. All he feels is that betrayal and anger for all that he's being forced to endure. No reason or rhyme can reach him before he pushes his wings out of his back and raises them around his shoulders in a menacing stance.
All he sees is red. All he desires is blood. And like an animal stalking his prey he's making his way towards Ned. It's as if that innocent little wave is like a flag to a bull, gathering speed with his intent.]
THAT'S ME IN THE CORNER THAT'S ME IN THE SPOTLIGHT LOSING MY RELIGION
If Gabriel were of sane mind Ned does not doubt that his greeting would be warmer and he would likely inquire about the day's pies, but the archangel appears possessed by a singular purpose.
Ned drops the beekeeping suit and edges toward the house.]
Uuuhhhhhhhhhhhey, Gab...rieohmyGod.
[Wings. Wings of no mean size have pushed free from the angel's shoulder blades. Ned breaks into a sprint toward the mansion along the edge of the gardens, abandoning his friendly semaphore exercise in favor of self-preservation.]
TRYING TO KEEP. UP. WITH YOU.

20th (i am so late and so fail and so so sorry)
Oh, I'm sorry. [It's nothing more than a brief impact, a brush that's easily waved away. Pepper in fact means to do just that, except the man she's run into looks as worn down as anyone else she's seen. She has no way of helping him; the announcement about anchors makes is clear she wouldn't be one for a stranger, nor does she know who to point him to in turn.
Still, she wants to say something. It's difficult to see anyone going through this without desiring to somehow fix it.]
It's all good, sorry as well
He winces as her worry and concern bombard him and he releases her in favor of pressing a heel to his head. He feels his ire flare at the simple desire to want to help him but that helpless feeling of being unable to. He's been dealing with this overabundance of thoughts and feelings for 24 hours now and it's enough to drive a man insane. Even an Archangel has his limits. Maybe his temper is a bit short but he's been itching for a chance to spill blood since the day he arrived. Playing nice and convincing the masses he wasn't a threat, wasn't easy and he could use a little relief from being so damn nice to his enemies.
Because despite everything he said, they still were the reason his Father abandoned them and he wouldn't forgive them. Perhaps all of that caged hatred was finally coming to the surface in this, pushed to the brink by how they invaded his thoughts with their own suffering and desire for relief. It just so happened that Pepper was in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Without warning or thought his wings push from his back and with a growl he brandishes the sharp feathers.]
SHUT UP! [He barks at her as if she were the reason so many voices were swarming his head and leaving him so restless. Part of it was trying to convince her to stop thinking, stop worrying, stop being sorry for him, he didn't care, she couldn't help. Another hiss and a wince as he's practically battered with more, mind open and swimming and he couldn't close the floodgates. He finally gives up on trying and lashes out at the closest human to him.
At least he was sure she was human, he didn't think to the strange tang of her scent, too pissed off to care if she were special.
A strong wing will swing at her, flattening out to splay the primary feathers in an attempt to cut whatever they came in contact with. They were like a serrated sword, or a hundred tiny blades cutting the air towards her.]
no subject
It's fortunate she does. There's no time to leave or even disengage, his cry for a silence she's already given the only warning she has before he lashes out. Pepper barely has times to raise her arms, Natasha's training coming into play as she expects the impact of his wings to be blunt and forceful. She isn't at all prepared for the pain of blades, the impossibly sharp edge of those feathers tearing through flesh and earning Gabriel a cry of pain.]
Stop it! [She is human, yes, but how she had been born has been twisted, and Gabriel would see that now. Even as she starts to bleed she also burns, the Extremis flaring to knit closed deep wounds in her flesh. Fire illuminates her from within, spreading from arms inward, upward to her eyes. Still, she doesn't want to fight him; Pepper's nature is not one of a warrior, even as she realizes she cannot leave him to rage. She readies herself for what may come next, hoping that her ability to heal and to burn will dissuade him from further attempts at harm.]
The event is making you attack me; this isn't something you want to do!
no subject
That's where you're wrong.
[Wings spread and arc behind him before he charges at her with an all out assault in an attempt to batter her back and rip her apart with his wings alone, slamming them into her or fanning out the feathers to dice up anything he can connect. He wants to see what she can do, how fast or resilient and how much damage she can take. He wants her to defend or attack, see if she can hurt him as well.]
