"I need you to do me a favor, but it's going to sound strange..." He purses his lips. "And possibly off-putting."
no subject
What Crowley says is a little strange but he's willing to hear him out. "Okay? What is it?"
no subject
Realizing that he's hunched himself down a little, he straightens his back again. "It's not for anything that will have any negative effect on you or anyone else. Actually, it shouldn't affect you at all, save for the giving up of a little blood."
no subject
"For like a transfusion? Because if you need a blood transfusion you should probably see a doctor. Maxine is way better at stuff than I am and I don't even know what blood type I am. I think that's supposed to be important."
no subject
"I only need the blood and your discretion."
no subject
And Crowley looks kind of desperate and he's even promised it's not for anything harmful. And it's not like Crowley asked him for a... a finger or anything. Blood replenishes itself.
He chews on his lip for a moment before nodding. "Alright. I can do that. Do you know how to do it? Because I've never had to uh... do this before."
no subject
He gestures towards the closet. "Just need to get a few things."
no subject
They usually had drinks and biscuits when you donated blood right? Was that an actual useful thing or was it just to make you feel better about having blood taken?
no subject
He's got a tourniquet and a needle attached to a line with a small bag and he supposes there's no going back now, but he'd already made up his mind before he'd even knocked.
no subject
He gets a pack of biscuits too just in case. He goes to sit on the couch, watching for a moment as Crowley sets up the needle. "Do you need anything else? Like, I can make tea."
no subject
"You know, tea sounds nice." He offers Sam a quick smile. This was the right place to come. Sam's quickly climbed the list of people Crowley wants to keep around him. It's not a long list and people are constantly falling away from it when they leave Wonderland, but it's an important list.

He heads over to where he's got a kettle set up and makes a couple of mugs, then brings them back over, holding one out to Crowley.
no subject
"If you could go back to someone else's world instead of your own when you leave Wonderland, would you?"
no subject
The question gives him pause, and he looks pensive for a moment. "You remember what my world is like right? Apocalypse? Hordes of the undead. Of course I would." He pauses, bites his lip. "Except... I'd want to bring people from home with me. They deserve better so..." Is putting his happiness and safety above all of theirs really a thing he could do?
no subject
He must be more broken than he'd realized.
"Have you found anything yet that could make that happen?"
no subject
He shakes his head, giving a soft sigh. "Nothing. If I had then... I'd probably have used it by now."

He puts the tea down and starts to fiddle with his equipment. "Ready?"
no subject
He nods in response, and puts his own mug down. "Yeah, I'm ready. Am I okay here or...?"

Crowley's not really one for a comforting bedside manner, but he can be straight-forward, at least. He grabs the needle and reaches for Sam's arm with careful movements. There's really no sense in accidentally hurting someone who's willingly doing him a favor.
no subject
Crowley takes his arm and, well, at least Sam doesn't have to look at the needle as it goes in right? It's a prick, and then a weird sensation of it sliding in, but it's not really painful or anything.
no subject
"I really appreciate this, Sam."
no subject
He smiles at Crowley. "That's okay. I'm glad I could help."
