Entry tags:
the morning that i was born again
Who: Antimony (
fireheaded) and OPEN! Feel free to tag in even if we haven't plotted anything for the event!
Where: Anywhere around the mansion
When: the 12th-15th
Rating: PG13 - R for cannibalism and that sort of general gruesomeness!
Summary: Antimony is a ghoul. She is telling herself she can absolutely kill people. She absolutely can't, but that won't stop her from trying.
The Story:
[In some ways, Antimony wishes she were better at making friends. Maybe if she had some, she could easily get alone with them and take a bite. Then again, if she were friends with a human...
She couldn't imagine ever eating Kat. The thought upsets her. Maybe it actually is for the better that she can hardly make friends. Then she doesn't have attachments, and she can eat without guilt.
Guilt. She has so much guilt. Guilt over being born like this. But she can't dwell on that now. She has to survive, and to do that, others must die. That's just the way of things. That's the way it's always been. She can't do anything to change that now.
Once she manages to burn her way past Elsa's ice wall, she takes to the rest of the mansion. Looking for humans. Looking for food. She stops at the coffee shop first, to gather her thoughts with a coffee and perhaps scope it out for human patrons.
Later, she goes to the diner, where she eats a slice of cherry pie, thinking of when she ate cherries with Kat. She had to throw up later, then, and she'll have to throw up again now. But it's a good cover for finding real food. Plus, if she's seen eating pie, then no one can think she's a ghoul.
She can also be found wandering around in general, perhaps drawn to the library or the gardens.
She's absolutely determined to find food. She can't be driven mad by hunger. That would expose her to the entire mansion.
No, she must do this carefully. She will eat. It's just a matter of who.]

She picks a random direction.]
I suppose we can just start walking this way... until we find a bench?
[And she leads, letting him follow beside her.]
So what is your home like? Do you live in Japan?
no subject
I'm from Tokyo, but I lived in a little town in the country before I got here. I liked it there a lot.
What about you? Where are you from?

[They turn a corner, and come upon a bench. Antimony motions for Souji to sit down first.]
no subject
How old does that make you?
[He takes a seat, looking up at her.]
no subject
Fourteen.
[She looks at him, and her eyes turn black and red, kagune erupting from her shoulders. It flickers and dances, giving the impression that she's on fire.]
I'm sorry, Souji.
[The flame-like kagune erupts, shooting projectiles at him before she pounces at him.]

Sitting on the bench, he doesn't have too many options for movement as it is. At such close range, it's impossible for him to dodge the initial onslaught from her kagune, which rips into his torso and limbs.
He manages, mostly by reflex, to lurch sideways as she leaps at him, but that's about it. The movement sends ripples of pain through him, as though she'd shot bits of her kagune at him a second time. It leaves him gasping for breath, which makes him choke and cough on the blood in his throat.]
no subject
It's him choking. Feeling what she did to him. Look at him. He's already bleeding so much. What is she doing?
She's eating, that's what she's doing. She needs to stay on track. Don't get distracted. If she shoots again, she might be able to kill him. He might not be able to dodge, injured as he is.
But she can't do it. She can't actually go one step further and try to kill him.
She'll dwell on the whys later. Now, she needs to eat. She's so close now. She pounces at him one more time, teeth bared, aiming to land on him and take a bite through his clothes.]

The pain fades somewhat under a surge of adrenaline and he reaches out with one hand. Not for Antimony, though. He needs to summon and attack. He can see the glowing card in front of him. All he has to do is grab it.
Something makes him hesitate. He can hear her eating the chunk of flesh she bit out of him--it's a wet, nauseating sound--and he can't help thinking that she needs to eat. She can't help that.
He lowers his hand again and the card in front of him vanishes.]

She stops to wipe her mouth with her sleeve -- pointlessly, as there's too much blood all over her chin to just wipe away. Really all she succeeds in is to smear blood onto her cheek. But before she can go back to eating, she catches a glimpse of his face and she drops him like he's shocked her.
She stares at him for a while, then slowly climbs back up onto her feet and backs away from him. The logical part of her brain is telling her to kill him now, get rid of him before he can tell others about her, but the rest of her is just focused on the image of him in pain.
She opens her mouth to say something -- then just turns and runs away, leaving him there on the ground.]
