the morning that i was born again

Who: Antimony ([personal profile] fireheaded) and OPEN! Feel free to tag in even if we haven't plotted anything for the event!
Where: Anywhere around the mansion
When: the 12th-15th
Rating: PG13 - R for cannibalism and that sort of general gruesomeness!
Summary: Antimony is a ghoul. She is telling herself she can absolutely kill people. She absolutely can't, but that won't stop her from trying.
The Story:

[In some ways, Antimony wishes she were better at making friends. Maybe if she had some, she could easily get alone with them and take a bite. Then again, if she were friends with a human...

She couldn't imagine ever eating Kat. The thought upsets her. Maybe it actually is for the better that she can hardly make friends. Then she doesn't have attachments, and she can eat without guilt.

Guilt. She has so much guilt. Guilt over being born like this. But she can't dwell on that now. She has to survive, and to do that, others must die. That's just the way of things. That's the way it's always been. She can't do anything to change that now.

Once she manages to burn her way past Elsa's ice wall, she takes to the rest of the mansion. Looking for humans. Looking for food. She stops at the coffee shop first, to gather her thoughts with a coffee and perhaps scope it out for human patrons.

Later, she goes to the diner, where she eats a slice of cherry pie, thinking of when she ate cherries with Kat. She had to throw up later, then, and she'll have to throw up again now. But it's a good cover for finding real food. Plus, if she's seen eating pie, then no one can think she's a ghoul.

She can also be found wandering around in general, perhaps drawn to the library or the gardens.

She's absolutely determined to find food. She can't be driven mad by hunger. That would expose her to the entire mansion.

No, she must do this carefully. She will eat. It's just a matter of who.

[Souji nods as he walks beside her. The gravel crunches under his feet.]

I'm from Tokyo, but I lived in a little town in the country before I got here. I liked it there a lot.

What about you? Where are you from?

[The second person Souji's met from England. He has questions! Like what the Japanese equivalent of "year 9" would be.]

How old does that make you?

[He takes a seat, looking up at her.]

[He starts to do the math on that--nine from fourteen would mean that year one is the equivalent of kindergarten--but is distracted by the change in her eyes. He opens his mouth to speak but is cut short by the attack.

Sitting on the bench, he doesn't have too many options for movement as it is. At such close range, it's impossible for him to dodge the initial onslaught from her kagune, which rips into his torso and limbs.

He manages, mostly by reflex, to lurch sideways as she leaps at him, but that's about it. The movement sends ripples of pain through him, as though she'd shot bits of her kagune at him a second time. It leaves him gasping for breath, which makes him choke and cough on the blood in his throat.]

[Souji starts to push himself up off of the ground, but this time when she pounces, Antimony lands on him and he collapses again. The gravel of the garden path bites into his hands and his cheek, but he hardly notices it as she bites him.

The pain fades somewhat under a surge of adrenaline and he reaches out with one hand. Not for Antimony, though. He needs to summon and attack. He can see the glowing card in front of him. All he has to do is grab it.

Something makes him hesitate. He can hear her eating the chunk of flesh she bit out of him--it's a wet, nauseating sound--and he can't help thinking that she needs to eat. She can't help that.

He lowers his hand again and the card in front of him vanishes.]
