Summary: to cheer everyone up after the event and to celebrate finally getting her act back together, queen elsa is using her powers to create a winter wonderland mini celebration, to bring a little, fun reminder of winter fun despite the hot weather. feel free to tag each other, too!


The Story:



( tea rooms! frozen desserts! )

[ the idea comes to her when it becomes clear that all is well again. or, as well as it can be. it is also clear that many people were as afraid as her. she walks among them and wishes she could do something to help. she has done all she can do to keep those who wanted to hurt others in bay, has kept the ice wall in her floor up as much as she would but now -

elsa is a queen and as such, she thinks she should know what to for morale but that always seemed to be anna's territory rather than her own.

and then the idea comes to use her powers for something - something - well, fun.

those who will wander to the tea rooms will find trays of ice creams scoops, frozen milkshake and other such frozen desserts and one snow queen, graciously waiting. ]

help yourself to whatever it is you want, I thought all could use a treat.

[ the next day, she will go a bit further. the weather would remain hot but out in the grounds, a make do ice skating rink will appear! at the side, there would be pairs of skates just waiting to be picked up. she asked for several pairs from her own wardrobe but feel free to ask for a brand new pair of your own from yours. either way, get a pair and join the celebration! ]

( snow day! )

[ the last day, she will come out to the garden and grounds and with a swirl of hands, they will be filled with soft, cold snow that won't melt for hours and hours. it will be warm enough but there will be enough snow for snowball fights, snowmen and even to slide around at! elsa herself would be seen going between everyone and every now and then, adding a little more snow it it does melt ]

[Amethyst transforms back into her normal self, basking in her victory. She grins at Mabel.]

Not everyone! Just us cool people. Uh-- Not that you're not cool.

I got powers 'cause I'm not a squishy little human like you. I'm a squishy little gem! [Laughing, she transforms into a purple version of Mabel, clearly just showing off now.] And there's more where that came from!

[She runs back behind her snow pile to grab more ammo and comes back out, fully loaded, looking very proud of herself. Still Mabel-ified.]

[Mabel hasn't encountered shapeshifters yet, so this can't be horrifying to her, and, in fact, is actually amazing.] Wow. Purple is actually a really good look on me. [She gathers up her own snow balls.] Now I get to see what I look like when I get pelted with snow! Awesome.

[she hurls one at her.] And I take no offense! My squishy little human self has done some pretty amazing things. [She hurls more at her.]

[Rather than try to dodge, Purple Mabel just takes the hit full on, and throws one back.]

Yeah, humans are pretty cool. You guys know how to have fun! [She grunts as she throws another like a fastball, and probably at about the same speed as one.] I don't know much about Homeworld gems, but something tells me they don't nearly have as many snow games as you do.

OOMPH. [Mabel takes that one in the stomach, the intensity broken only by the mercy of her sweater, but even doubled over, she's laughing.]

We sure do- ow. It hurts, but it's a good hurt. [She shakes it off, gathering up more snow into a big clunky ball to hurl back with a surprising amount of strength for such a tiny thing.] And I know more games than anyone.

[Purple Mabel's at a distinct advantage, being a gem with strength and durability, and one that's willing to be less than gentle with her opponent. No one here to scold her for playing rough with the humans.

Still, she takes the big snowball head on and it knocks her right over onto her back.] Oof! Haha, good one!

Hey, I got an idea! [She gets up, running up to Mabel and then transforms into a sled right at her feet.] Wanna go sledding?

[Mabel vibrates on the spot with giddiness, and while Dipper would probably be a little unsure about jumping onto a sled that used to be PERSON-SHAPED, Mabel is nowhere near as cautious. In fact, the idea just seems to be more delightful.]

Heck yes, I do! So you can transform into anything? [she climbs onto sled!amethyst and settles down comfortably.] Like a unicorn? Or a fairy princess? Or a unicorn-fairy princess?

[brainmeme]

[The sled immediately starts heading for the nearest hill and climbs to the top.]

Yep! I could totally be a unicorn-fairy princess. Or a dragon, or a giant, or a gross noodle monster!

[Aaand they start to speed down the hill. Amethyst makes them go even faster by virtue of being a moving sled.]

[Mabel holds on tightly, laughing all the way JUST LIKE THE SONG. only with fewer bells, she guesses.] You are seriously the coolest person I've ever met. WHOOO![She throws one arm up in a war whoop of victory, holding on by sheer luck every time they hit a bump.]

Yeah, I am pretty cool. So are you, though! The coolest. [This jam of good feelings is promptly ended by them reaching the bottom of the hill and crashing face first straight into a snow bank.]

WAUGH! [there's now a Mabel shaped hole in said snowbank, but she doesn't seem to care as she digs herself out and just embraces her life of soaked-clothes. Her poor sweater has seen some terrible times, and she just doesn't care.] So. You wanna get some of that hot cocoa now?

[Amethyst is laughing as she comes crawling out of the hole, no longer a sled and back as herself. She's wet, too, but doesn't care at all. She gets the benefit of not really being affected by the cold.] Haha, sure! I like the way it burns on your tongue!

And then you can't taste anything for hours! [That's not even exciting, Mabel. That's awful, but it's Mabel, and it's best not to question it.

She brushes herself off and begins heading towards the mansion.] I hope they have the multicolored marshmallows. It's not the same without a steamy rainbow in my cup.

They have everything! Remember? [And she follows Mabel into the mansion.] Have you ever put triple cocoa powder in your mug? It's like drinking chocolate battery acid. [As someone who's likely eaten battery acid, the comparison is probably actually pretty close.]

[her eyes widen. as someone who eats leaves and the occasional unwrapped candy, that actually sounds delicious.] No, but that sounds like something I need to experience right now.

You're in luck! I'll make it for you. One triple powder hot cocoa, coming right up!

Yesss. It's gonna be like a chocolate nuclear explosion on my tongue. [Mabel bounds along after her.] Seriously, Amethyst, I'm pretty sure you're actually perfect. Or at least as close to perfect as you can be without being crazy boring.

[They reach the kitchen, and Amethyst starts pulling out milk and cocoa powder and rainbow marshmallows and whipped cream, working on putting together a hot chocolate mess of a drink. Despite what the rest of the mansion may think, she is fully capable of following instructions on a box and making food properly, too.]

Haha, no one's ever called me perfect before. [Usually that's an adjective reserved for Pearl. From Amethyst. Who is mocking her as she says it.] People don't really think of me that way. But you get me, Mabel.

One of the things I learned this summer is that silliness is good and people should embrace it. [She climbs up on a chair and points at the table as she explains this.] It's hard finding people who get me, too. A lot of people just aren't good with rolling with craziness.

Well, who cares about those guys! If you just leave 'em in the dust, that's their loss.

[And on the table clinks two mugs of triple hot cocoa, in all its powdery glory, with rainbow marshmallows on top and whipped cream on top of that and more marshmallows on top of that.]

[Her face lights up and she snatches one up, careful not to spill and sips as indelicately as one can when dealing with hot cocoa, marshmallows, and whipped cream. what inevitably happens is she ends up with whipped cream and marshmallows stuck to her face and look in her eyes like one has achieved nirvana.]

I feel like I could stay awake for a week.

[Amethyst, meanwhile, takes the other one and sticks her face right into it, gaining a nice beard of whipped cream and marshmallows to match the one on Mabel's face. She laughs.]

Hahaha. I burned my nose. [Yeah, there is some hot cocoa dripping off of it now.]

[Mabel tries to lick a marshmallow off her face and laughs when it dislodges itself and hits the table.] Amethyst, you're so wild. I bet you're great at sleepovers.

[Amethyst strokes her whipped cream beard thoughtfully.] I've never been to a sleepover. I mean, sometimes I do it for fun, but gems don't really sleep. We're not built for it.

That just means you can stay up later than everyone else! [She plants her hands on the table and leans forward.] You're not supposed to sleep at a sleepover. You just stay up late and do girl stuff.

Then why's it called a sleepover, genius? [She's only teasing, though, and wipes off some of the whipped cream on her face and smears it on Mabel's forehead.] What kinda girl stuff are you supposed to do?
