Summary: to cheer everyone up after the event and to celebrate finally getting her act back together, queen elsa is using her powers to create a winter wonderland mini celebration, to bring a little, fun reminder of winter fun despite the hot weather. feel free to tag each other, too!


The Story:



( tea rooms! frozen desserts! )

[ the idea comes to her when it becomes clear that all is well again. or, as well as it can be. it is also clear that many people were as afraid as her. she walks among them and wishes she could do something to help. she has done all she can do to keep those who wanted to hurt others in bay, has kept the ice wall in her floor up as much as she would but now -

elsa is a queen and as such, she thinks she should know what to for morale but that always seemed to be anna's territory rather than her own.

and then the idea comes to use her powers for something - something - well, fun.

those who will wander to the tea rooms will find trays of ice creams scoops, frozen milkshake and other such frozen desserts and one snow queen, graciously waiting. ]

help yourself to whatever it is you want, I thought all could use a treat.


( ice skating )


[ the next day, she will go a bit further. the weather would remain hot but out in the grounds, a make do ice skating rink will appear! at the side, there would be pairs of skates just waiting to be picked up. she asked for several pairs from her own wardrobe but feel free to ask for a brand new pair of your own from yours. either way, get a pair and join the celebration! ]

( snow day! )

[ the last day, she will come out to the garden and grounds and with a swirl of hands, they will be filled with soft, cold snow that won't melt for hours and hours. it will be warm enough but there will be enough snow for snowball fights, snowmen and even to slide around at! elsa herself would be seen going between everyone and every now and then, adding a little more snow it it does melt ]

[Considering the weight of their past conversations, it was a welcome relief to have something light-hearted to talk about, for once.]

My guess would be magic.

[Said with a casual smile on her face as she began working on a new snowball. The pile at her side was rapidly growing, and already enough to give her consistent ammo for nearly a full minute. Should anybody foolishly attempt to attack her while they thought her guard was down.]

Well, yeah. [Dipper sees that pile of snow balls. He is eyeing that pile of snow balls nervously as he adds to his own pile. There's no one you can trust when the snow wars start.] The question was if it's magic I can learn or some kind of superpower thing.

[He had her there. In fact, Hazel initially opened her mouth to comment before realizing that she...actually...didn't know. Not for certain. All she knew was that it was something she couldn't do, because her magic was entirely dependent upon the presence of Mist. Which, in Wonderland, there was none.]

Have you learned magic before?

Sort of. I've done a few spells. Nothing like this, though. [He waves around at the snow.] I made a flashlight that could shrink or grow people once. That was kind of magic.

[Coincidentally, she probably could have done those things too, if only in the form of very convincing illusions.]

If you have a history of it, then I don't see why you can't try?

[As opposed to someone with NO abilities at all. Like a human attempting a feat accomplishable by only demigods.]

I'd need to find a book of spells or something to show me how to do it. [He's really good at following instructions on how to do magic. He wouldn't know where to begin to try and make it happen without that.]

Would the library have one of those?

[The fact that she would even bring up the Library again proved how genuine the suggestion was. Not that it would do her any good, of course, but if Dipper thought he had a chance, there was little harm in trying.]

Maybe. Worth checking, anyway. [Elsa doesn't even seem to be making an effort to make it happen, but that doesn't mean there's nothing there.] I thought you hated the library.

I never said I hated the Library...

There's just no point in someone like me going there. But it could be useful for you.

I can't read.

[Well, read English; her brain was somehow hard-wired to read Ancient Greek so well that her dyslexia didn't even affect it.]

...I mean, I can read. A little. But it's hard. Even if I know a word, it takes me a while to figure out what it is.

[Dipper frowns. Not being able to read? That must be awful.]

Were you never taught or is it a dyslexia thing or something? Also, have you tried audiobooks? Not to push books on you if you really don't like them at all! But some are really good.

[She shrugged. That was the hardest part; having to admit she...didn't entirely know. There hadn't been leaning disability diagnosis when she was growing up. Only teachers who labeled her stupid or lazy. Or both.]

I...think it's dyslexia, yeah. Almost all my friends have it. Except Frank.

[The poor boy somehow ended up with Lactose Intolerance instead. Because go figure.]

What's an audiobook?

It's... well, exactly what it sounds like. A CD or tape that has someone reading the book out loud so you can listen instead of reading it. They're supposed to be great if you've got dyslexia.

Do you think the Library would have any of those?

[Because, for obvious reasons, she'd had no reason to think of looking before.]

Probably. I can ask Evelyn. [Dipper grins.] And if not, we can definitely get some from the closets. This'll be great!

[She wasn't quite as excited about the idea as Dipper was, if only because she...didn't have any idea what she was missing. Or what books she could possibly ask for. The idea of being able to catch up a bit did sound appealing, though, so she nodded.]
