Summary: to cheer everyone up after the event and to celebrate finally getting her act back together, queen elsa is using her powers to create a winter wonderland mini celebration, to bring a little, fun reminder of winter fun despite the hot weather. feel free to tag each other, too!


The Story:



( tea rooms! frozen desserts! )

[ the idea comes to her when it becomes clear that all is well again. or, as well as it can be. it is also clear that many people were as afraid as her. she walks among them and wishes she could do something to help. she has done all she can do to keep those who wanted to hurt others in bay, has kept the ice wall in her floor up as much as she would but now -

elsa is a queen and as such, she thinks she should know what to for morale but that always seemed to be anna's territory rather than her own.

and then the idea comes to use her powers for something - something - well, fun.

those who will wander to the tea rooms will find trays of ice creams scoops, frozen milkshake and other such frozen desserts and one snow queen, graciously waiting. ]

help yourself to whatever it is you want, I thought all could use a treat.


( ice skating )


[ the next day, she will go a bit further. the weather would remain hot but out in the grounds, a make do ice skating rink will appear! at the side, there would be pairs of skates just waiting to be picked up. she asked for several pairs from her own wardrobe but feel free to ask for a brand new pair of your own from yours. either way, get a pair and join the celebration! ]

( snow day! )

[ the last day, she will come out to the garden and grounds and with a swirl of hands, they will be filled with soft, cold snow that won't melt for hours and hours. it will be warm enough but there will be enough snow for snowball fights, snowmen and even to slide around at! elsa herself would be seen going between everyone and every now and then, adding a little more snow it it does melt ]

YOU KNIT YOUR PIG SWEATERS??? [EAT IT, GRUNKLE STAN. SHE ISN'T THE ONLY ONE. He's too tall for her to grab more than his pant leg, but she does so with gusto and wide, awed eyes.] I thought I was the only one.

[Her enthusiasm is a little weird, but it's enough to make him chuckle. She's a sweet kid.]

Yeah, I do! If I'd known someone was gonna make it start snowing I would've brought one of them outside with us.

[she releases his leg and shows off her current sweater that has a white rabbit on it.] That's why I always wear a sweater. They're appropriate for any weather!

[no they're not, mabel.

[Sure they are! Or at least, that's what he used to tell people back when he was selling Thneeds. But he nods along, looking down and appreciating her sweater when she lets go of him.]

Well, it's definitely appropriate now. [Both because it's Wonderland-themed and because there's currently snow everywhere.] This one of your Mabel originals?

All of them are Mabel originals. That's what makes them the best. I've already been making tons of 'em. [Sweaters for every occasion. Every sweater.]

[Back home, he used to get teased for knitting, so it's pretty nice to see a kid embracing it like this.]

Well, that's one way to get good use out of the everything-you-want-for-free closets. [He waves an arm.] Infinite amounts of yarn in every color!

And every kind of fiber! I have chenille sweaters now. And cashmere. [she sighs dreamily.] So soft.

Yeah... [He wavers for a moment, not sure if he should bring this up or not.] ...Back home, I used to work with this material that was softer than anything - even silk! It's uh-- it's not around anymore, and it's a little too rare to get from the closets, but it was the most comfortable thing you could ever imagine. It was like, "rolling around in a pile of kittens" soft.

[her eyes go wide] That is soft. [her lips purse.] But why's it so rare? Is it made from the wool of fluffy unicorns?

[Leave it to Mabel to go to fluffy unicorns before anything else. That sounds suitably rare enough not to be able to get from a closet.]

[Alright, that makes him chuckle a little. Fluffy unicorns would be great.]

No, they uh-- they came from trees actually. These super soft trees that looked like tufts of cotton candy. ...But they're not around any more. All the Truffula trees are gone.

[Mabel's eyes light up, because they sound like the best trees ever, only for her face to fall.] That's so sad. What happened to them?

They...someone cut them all down.

[And that someone looks very guilty as he says it, though he decides not to explicitly say who did it. He's usually pretty upfront about what he's done, but it's pretty difficult to make the words happen when Mabel's looking at him like that.]

[powerofmabel]

[Mabel doesn't even assume for a second that he's the tree-killing monster. She just gasps and covers her mouth in shock.] That's horrible! What kind of monster would do that to such cuddly trees??

Uhh...somebody really greedy, I guess. Some jerk who didn't care enough, or something.

[In other words, him. Yep. This guy.]

What a jerk. [Fortunately, Mabel is easily distracted, so he doesn't have to evade his horrible past for much longer.] Ooh! I think I see my brother trying to be sneaky. Nice meeting you! We should totally knit together sometime. Bye now!
