Who: You guessed it. Loki, Mirror!Loki, and YOU.
Where: The Real Side, The Mirror Side
When: Backdated between the 18th and 22nd.
Rating: G for now.
Summary: Loki plays in the rips, before determinedly going to find his BFF on the Mirror Side. While he's gone, his Mirror self comes out to play.
The Story:

Loki - The Rips

Loki is, by nature, a very curious creature. When the rips begin appearing throughout Wonderland, he cannot stop himself from going to investigate. Which soon led to sticking his hand in one. Then sticking his head through one. Then, sure enough, just wandering straight through it to see what would happen.

Huh. Now that was interesting.

Obviously he needed to do it again.

Loki can be found in the most random of places, as long as there happens to be a rip there. In fact, he might just happen to topple out of one right into you.

Mirror Loki - The Real Side

Loki had to buy his time. Of course there were opportunities to explore the Real Side while his other self was in the Mirror, but his other self seemed to have a very hard problem staying still. Loki would begin to do something and be rudely thrust back onto the Mirror Side as his counterpart went through yet another rip.

But then came his opportunity, when his real self went into the Mirror Side with a Purpose. Now he should have plenty of time.

So really, do not mind the cheerful young Loki wandering around the Real Side of the mansion. After all, why should you? He is quite polite; he will smile at you in the hallway, hold the door open for you if you are passing through, or offer to help you carry your things if you look overburdened. And Odin forbid you seem to be in any sort of trouble -- why, he will be your knight in shining green armor.

Loki - The Mirror Side

Everything on this side of the Mirror seems so normal. It was not what Loki was expecting at all. In fact, if he did not try to look in a mirror or check the time, he would have a hard time telling this was a different place at all.

Trying to read backwards did get annoying quickly, however.

But he was not here to investigate. It was something he had to keep reminding himself, forcefully putting himself back on track. Verity was somewhere on this side. However much he found himself wanting to take care of her Mirror and protect her, protecting the real thing was far more important.

That mission is why the real Loki can be found wandering the Mirror side, poking his head in everywhere, even those places he really shouldn't.

Maxine's been doing her best to spend the latest storm of chaos holed up in the clinic. The doors are decently strong, people know where to find her, and if anyone needs help she's right here. That's more than enough reason for her.

Besides. There's a rip practically right outside the doors. Things keep tumbling through, and it's kind of fascinating to watch - albeit ready to dodge back through the doors and bolt them if whatever comes through looks even remotely dangerous.

But this particular young man looks reasonably innocuous, and she only gives him a curious smile as he alights on the tile, taking a sip from her mug of lukewarm tea. "Having fun?"

"Unstable in terms of where they lead to? Absolutely. But I haven't found any evidence yet of them actually damaging anything that passes through them." This is, of course, based on a highly rigorous scientific study. Or the most highly rigorous study she can be bothered to perform on something that will probably be gone in a week or two.

Giving a little smirk, she nodded her head toward the rift. "What makes you think they're the canary in the mineshaft and not just our usual variety of weirdness?"

"I don't know, actually." She doesn't question that he does, all the same. Wonderland has a way of granting an ironclad suspension of disbelief. "I guess we just don't get a lot of snags in the fabric of reality where I'm from. Are you saying it's just going to keep . . . what, fraying?"

"So . . . not behaving totally like the rips you're used to," she fills in, a little surprised herself by the amount of sense that the line of thought is making.

Ah, Wonderland. The one place where a lifelong fiction habit comes in handy.

"Which you are making me more and more curious about," she adds, half-smirking. "I would've thought a resident expert on this kind of thing would've spoken up a little more by now."

"Versus not speaking up. Which leads to harmless things, like said rending of the fabric of reality." She fixes him with a flat look, not quite to unhappy but definitely unimpressed. She can understand how intimidating the prospect of authority can be, but that doesn't make her any more sympathetic to shrinking away from it when it's clearly the right thing to do.
