The Story:






[it's no secret that halloween is april's favorite holiday - she'd been planning this since her network post in september. she'd been ignoring the network and the tapping on her own mirrors in favor of just having this one stupid thing, and she really does go all out. it's a testament to the fact that when april puts her mind to something she can do anything she wants (with the help of a few gracious wonderlanders, and the magic here) and somewhere, leslie is just so proud, she's probably exploding. gross.

when characters arrive, they'll find the ballroom transformed into a creepy halloween paradise - tons of pumpkins, fake spider web (or is it???), fake dead bodies (or are they???), and a plethora of other decorations carefully handpicked by april. she didn't just ask the ballroom to do this, she worked out every detail.

there's an open bar and more candy than you ever needed in your life, plus a bunch of different Halloween themed food (spagehtti for brains, apples for bobbing). there's a dance floor playing a mix of mostly halloween music but also some other stuff even she can concede her taste in german death reggae isn't for everyone. and honestly, she actually wants people to have a really good time.

april is dressed up as moritica addams from the addams family and will actually be around mingling with people and being sociable - maybe that's the true horror of the holiday.]

It probably couldn't think of a way to make this even more horrible.

( Well, horrific. Horror-y. Horrible in all the good Halloween ways. And Lydia's quite glad that Wonderland hasn't messed up and made it really horrible. Her last Halloween she was kidnapped and tortured by Angelus so this is a definite improvement, even if that also wasn't Wonderland )

I'd probably put you in charge of all the Halloween parties.

( Lydia had definitely seen the spaghetti brains but she hadn't given them a close enough look - or touch - to see that it was spaghetti )

I might have to. What's your other food. You've got spaghetti brains, apples- any more?

[assistanting]

Maybe it really is real brains.

[whoops so was not supposed to give that away darn now lydia knows all her secrets.]

So much candy. Cupcakes made out of spiders.

( Disgusting disgusting secrets, April. Lydia certainly won't be replicating any of them, but good effects at least )

So not made out of spiders? ( She hopes. Please say it's just a creepy invitation for Halloween and not real spiders ) You don't make every party this creepy, right? Just Halloween ones?

[april rolls her eyes]

I don't do other parties.

Then that explains all of this. Halloween party planner.

( Why it's so Halloween-y and all thought out. She focuses and focuses creepily )

( Lydia may be taking a walk around the room to look at more of the stuff, and she definitely expects April to follow )

[she's not big on being told what to do but lydia gives her that creepy focus so one turn deserves another and she'll follow for now]

I'll watch your back so you don't get murdered.

( She thinks. 90% certain that nothing at the party will murder her but then this is Wonderland. There could be party crashers )

I'd say you should try other parties, because we definitely need more around here, but I'm not sure if creepy Christmas is what everyone wants.
