Krampusjail Pajama Party | OPEN
Who: All of the Prisoners of the Krampus.
Where: Some unground dungeon that definitely wasn't here before all this started.
When: All event
Rating: PG - R, depending on exactly how naughty your characters have been.
Summary: Catch-all log for Krampusjail shenanigans throughout the event! So you were a bad person and got yourself tossed into Krampusjail in the middle of the night - now what?
The Story:
If your character is someone who could be considered “naughty” or “a terrible human being” for whatever reason then they may be visited by the Krampus this Ewaymas. For the first day they will hear chains rattling intermittently throughout the day, and only they (and others the Krampus has targeted) will be able to hear these chains. Then, that night, when they're trying to sleep, the Krampus will come for them in the middle of the night. He will then proceed to smack them around with birch branches and shove them into a woven basket and carry them away. The naughty character in question will find themselves thrown into a dark dungeon (in a place that looks suspiciously like the caves and tunnels of Wonderland, but far enough down that no one can hear them). There are multiple cells though, so they may have some company in Krampusjail. The Krampus will occasionally come by like a horrible jailer to hit them with his birch switch and get them to admit their wrongdoings and atone for them, but otherwise they will be left alone to think about what they've done. For food, they will have water brought to them and small baskets of adorably horrifying bread in the Krampus' likeness. If a character starts to show that they really regret their behavior and that they're really sorry, whether the Krampus is there or not, the door will swing open and they will be released early. If they lie about how sorry they are or they refuse to apologize, they will have to serve their full sentence – which will be three to five days, depending on exactly how naughty they've been.
Since the maximum sentence is five days, put the dates your character will be in Krampusjail in the subject of your top level, so others will know whether their characters will be jailed at the same time or not! If you have questions, please direct them to The Event's FAQ thread. Prose or [Brackets] are more than welcome!

As if we need to be told what we have done wrong.
[She's fully aware of the depth and extent of her sins, thank you, though Rocket's shouting keeps her from dwelling on it for long, and she covers her mouth with one hand to hide the beginnings of a smile.
It probably isn't a great idea to laugh at him.]
In the eyes of the law, you are perfectly innocent. You would think that would carry over here.

[It's a travesty! he slides down the bars and back onto the stone floor.] I'm bein' wrongfully imprisoned here, and that sure as hell ain't happened to me before.
no subject
[She's on his side, okay.]
Every previous imprisonment was for good reason?
[She probably shouldn't be so amused by that, but-- come on. They could probably both use a laugh here.]
no subject
Eh. Some of that arson wasn't exactly my fault, but... I'll own up to the majority of those prison sentences bein' deserved.
[he shrugs.] But I had shit to do that didn't involve arguin' over what is and what isn't technically legal.

[Far moreso than most would expect from a raccoon, even a talking one. She leans back against the wall of her cell, folding her arms and letting them rest across her knees, grimacing.]
Well. If there is no apparent escape, how shall we pass the time? I might be able to try something when our jailer returns-- perhaps.

[Yes, her mind-whammy.]
I cannot guarantee it will work, but I see no reason not to try.

[They seem to agree on that much.]
Perhaps he has only tried to intimidate children before now.

[Though this particular setup is entirely new to her.]
Unpleasant things happen all the time. The world does not care how old you are.

No. I am afraid not.
[They've both fallen on more than their share of hard times-- she'd figured that much out long before now.]
We have both made it through our own hardships. That makes us stronger than many.

We have seen worse. This is inconvenient-- but it will not break us.
