I'm fast, t-

[ Thwump. The snowball beans her in the shoulder and she exclaims in surprise, making a nasty, but simultaneously amused face. ]

Motherfucker! [ But she's laughing and lobs a snowball back at him in return. ] This means war, you know that?

[ His laugh when his snowball lands and gets her cursing gets a delighted bout of near maniacal laughter from him, because really, she's a kid after his own heart and far be it from him to scold her over language when he's likely to say just as bad in front of her without ever realizing it. ]

Bring it, squirt. I will own you.

Oh, nuh-uh. You're going down.

[ He manages to duck the first, but the second catches him in the shoulder and as he picks up his head to yelp about it, a third smacks it dead center in the face, leaving him sputtering snow and laughing. ]

Oh, you're gonna regret that, squirt.

Uh, I don't think so.

[ She's laughing, too, having no issue with how she'd beaned him straight in the face with hard-packed snow. What? He's fine! ]

Good luck catching me, Grandpa!

[ And Ellie makes a dash through the snow toward the trees where there's a bit more cover. ]
