Summary: IO, SATURNALIA! The party has arrived and it is here to stay for 72 hours straight of good food, gambling, dancing, drinking, singing, and so on and so forth!
The Story:

A few days into Ewaymas, on December 15th, everyone will wake up to a scroll outside their door. This scroll is an invitation to a Saturnalia celebration in two days, and everyone is welcome! If asked for clothing for the party, the closets will provide synthesis – brightly colored Roman robes – for the occasion, but the dress code is mostly just colorful and fun, if you choose to abide by it.

Starting on the 17th there will be a lavish feast in the ballroom, and food and drink are never in short supply. Drunkenness is encouraged, but there will be non-alcoholic beverages as well. There will be tables set up for gambling and dice games, music from a wide variety of worlds (specifically to encourage loud singing along and dancing all night - some are holiday remixes but others aren't), and areas for dancing and playing other games. The decorations are all in a rainbow of bright colors like the synthesis, with suns hanging up and candles floating in the air. Laurels and pileus will be available at the party for everyone to wear on their heads.

It's the kind of party that will get increasingly louder and rowdier...and it literally won't end for three whole days. Those prone to gluttony, greed, or even just escapism will find themselves not wanting to leave the party at all. There's always something to do and you can always just pass out of the floor when you're tired, right? Right! No one knows how to party like the Romans did. At the end of the day on the 19th though, all of the decorations and food will vanish and the party will abruptly come to an end.

[Dipper rolls his eyes. Low blow, Mabel. Low blow.]

Party won't end if you go take a nap.

It could. It has no set end time. It could end today or tomorrow or three seconds from now. [this totally rational fear seems to wake her up a bit as she hops off the chair to shake her brother by his shoulders.] And it was like it was made for me. Have you ever seen this much color? It's like the Second Coming of Crandolph the Fabulous.

Mabel, I see this much color every time I wake up facing your side of the room.

[It's amazing he doesn't wake up with a headache.]

You don't see color the way I do, Dipper. [she presses her face very close to his face as she whispers this, giving him a great view of the bags under her eyes.]

[Why is this his life. Why is this his sister. Dipper rolls his eyes and stands up, taking her hand and trying to pull her with him.]

Come on, Mabel. You know what happens when I get too sleep deprived. I don't want to find out what happens to you.

[powerofmabel]

Nothing happens. [even though Mabel encourages Dipper to get enough sleep.] Because I always get plenty of sleep every other day, unlike you who... doesn't. You can't get sleep debt if you never go into sleep overdraft, bro. And I have extremely good sleep interest!

That's... not how logic works, Mabel. [Dipper rolls his eyes, not that he's surprised.] How about if I tell you I'm not gonna sleep until you sleep? Are you gonna be responsible for my sleep debt?

[If logic won't appeal to her, maybe a complete lack of it will.]

[she gasps, and then seems to be weighing it because Dipper doesn't sleep well ANYWAY, so it's not a very solid argument, but at the same time...]

If you choose not to sleep, I'm just gonna have to make us both some Mabeljuice.

Have to leave the party to mix up Mabeljuice. [And once she leaves the party, he's hoping she'll be able to stop being a crazy party person.]

[she narrows her eyes at him.]

I'm an extremely logical person at all times, Mabel. [Dipper smirks at her and pokes her shoulder.] That mean you'll come with me? Or do I have to pull out the big guns? Cause I have one more card to play. But it's playing a little dirty.

[squint] What is it?

[you got her all curious and she's too tired for sense.]

[He puts his hand on her shoulder and gives her a very serious look.]

You haven't hugged your stuffed animals all day. They're gonna think you don't love them enough.

[powerofmabel]

[the slow mounting horror on Mabel's face would be hilarious if Dipper didn't know how seriously she takes this.] Oh my God.

[picking up her skirts, she starts heading for the door.] I'M COMING, BABIES!

Well, I feel dirty.

[On the other hand, it worked. He stands up and rushes after her, just in case she decides that a hug is enough and tries to go back to the party.]
