Rage me closer, tiny dancer

Who: The Hulk or Bruce Banner and OPEN
Where: near the gardens
When: March 6th
Rating: PG
Summary: Bruce Banner has been shrunken by the Tiger-Lilies. These are some of his tiny adventures.
The Story:

The Hulk

If one is to look closely at the ground by the gardens, they might find a very strange sight. A Hulk, no more than 4 inches tall, is slamming his angry green fists into the snow that stands in his way, tearing out blades of grass from the ground and screaming tiny rage-filled screams. The destruction that he's normally capable of is no less furious, even if it is on a much smaller scale, as he searches to destroy anything even remotely flower-like.

Bruce Banner

Later, there is a tiny Bruce Banner shivering in the snow. He's managed to scrape together a leaf covering as he slowly and painstakingly makes his way towards the mansion. This is going to take a while and he's not even sure how he's going to fix this, but at least it's warm inside and he can stay close to the wall so no one can accidentally kick or step on him. Maybe Tony can help him figure this out.

At this size, at least he knows that the Big Guy hadn't managed much damage, but at the same time he's angry at himself for losing control at all.

The Itsy Bitsy Hulk ;D

There is a tiny ball of rage roaring through the garden, and Tony's pretty sure there must be some pretty angry gophers milling about in the snow. Seriously, Wonderland has lost its ever-loving mind. The flowers and sawdust eating bugs and whathaveyou... Now we have raging gophers? What's next? But as he gets closer, he starts to recognise those little angry sounds. Yes, he recognises them all too well... It prompts him to stop and find the source, which isn't all that difficult to spot, what with the flying grass and mauled plants.

Tony moves closer and crouches down, scooping melting snow aside for a better view of the tiny terror wreaking havoc on the local flora. He isn't sure whether to be amused as all hell or worried that something was able to shrink the Hulk. So he settles on staring agape with a small sound of confusion.

"...huh." Tony cocks his head to the side. "Well, this is novel. Hey big--err... little guy? Let's take a breath here, okay? C'mon. I don't suppose you'll be able to tell me what happened in that state, will you?"

The Hulk, small as he is, lets out a roar in Tony's direction, entirely un-phased by Tony's relative size. There is a sense of recognition, though, and after a moment more of tearing and yelling, he stops and looks up at Tony.

Deliberately, he rips a flower-like weed out of the ground and shakes it angrily at Tony, as if to tell Tony what those flowers had done to Banner.

"Okay, either you're threatening to beat me to death with a dandelion, or...?" He makes a drawn out sound in the back of his throat, sort of a whine, as he scrapes the possibilities for the most logical. "...or it was the flowers? Magic shrinking pollen?" He's just guessing, here, TinkerHulk.

"This... could be a problem. I mean, don't get me wrong, pocket-sized Hulk is kinda awesome, but also kinda problematic. ...and you probably hate this, so let's stick with problematic. So I met a guy who was turned into a bone bug--that's better than my first play on words nickname I had for him, trust me--and now the Itsy Bitsy Hulk. We'll fix this. Promise." But first, he needs a little more information.

"So, what'd it ask you for? Sawdust?" Yeah, probably not, but it was worth a try. He also doubted he'd get an eloquent answer from the little green guy.

The Hulk snorts impatiently at Tony's jokes and gives him an unimpressed look as he drops the flower to the ground. It's especially withering as he's tiny and green and filled with a regular-sized amount of anger.

He wants this fixed and the only reason he's standing still is because he thinks that this man can fix it. He's a fixer.

"Okay, okay. Man, you're a tough crowd when you're like this. You wanna show me which flower shrunk you?" He held out a hand, parallel to the ground, palm up. He knows better than to try manhandled Hulk without his consent. So it's a 'meet halfway' kinda thing. "Then we can convince it to... undo the evil shrink ray. Or... you can smash it a few times."

Looking around frantically, the Hulk can't seem to find what he's looking for. He grunts and groans and then when that fails him, he looks up at Tony with a furrowed green brow. After running through what felt like miles of huge grass, he has no idea what direction he even came from.

Awkwardly and almost Bruce-like, he shrugs.

honey who shrunk the scientist?

Faith's device lands in the grass next to her boot. "Shit."

When she leans down to pick it up, she's not looking directly at it and so catches the sight of someone's little action figure moving.

Hang on. Action figures don't move.

Still, Faith grabs her device and stands back up to blink for awhile. Blinking helps, surely, when you've just seen a tiny naked man, right? She crouches, then, craning her neck to get a closer look. She'd heard the rumors about the garden around the mansion, but it's still a pretty unbelievable sight.

"Hey, little dude. You supposed to be that small?"

Always best to check, right?

"Huh? Hang on--"

Faith takes a moment to look around the immediate area first before putting her knees on the ground and lowering herself down while hoping little naked dude doesn't crawl into her cleavage. (Been there, done that.)

"OK, say again. Maybe yell?"

"Shit."

Yeah, that's about right. Shit sounds like a perfectly good reaction to this situation. Faith's stunned for a moment, trying to work through and think of a good solution to finding a tiny man in the grass. She's not a witch, and she's not a scientist. Faith knows punching. She's generally a tool, broadly speaking.

"Uh. Wanna lift to the mansion? Probably safer, anyway."

With that, she extends her hand out and lays it in the grass before him.

"Faith. Hang tight." This is probably going to be a ... process. Faith starts by leaning on her elbows, and trying to make sure she doesn't squish Bruce in her hand as her weight shifts and her fingers curl.

The grace of a slayer is one thing when she's fighting demons and dusting vampires. It's another when she's trying not to drop and/or squish a tiny man. She pays probably more attention to not closing her fist than the process of getting up, and slips. Elbow in the grass, there's a still a jolt up through her hand as she catches herself with her free one.

"Shit--"

She manages to rebalance, but only just. Again, the bulk of her attention is on keeping her hand still so that Bruce can get stabilized. She winces at his tiny holler, bottom lip skewing to the side in embarrassment. Way to go, Senior Slayer numero dos.

"Sorry about that. Don't do tiny guy transport often. You good?" She'll wait for confirmation before moving again, considering what a fiasco this has already become...

"I've had worse, but thanks." Really, how gallant of you, tiny dude. This time when Faith rises, it's with more caution and control. Eventually she gets to her feet without further incident, and starts to make her way back to the mansion.

"So, mind if I ask...? You piss off a witch or something?"

"Damn. I'm officially never going to the gardens again." Seriously, a flower? Nothing is sacred around here, for real.

Faith walks slowly, doing her best to keep from bumping up and down as she goes while still holding him close enough to her face to hear him.

"Anywhere specific I should drop you off? I might be able to get a witch or someone on the line to try to resize you."

Darcy would like to say she was really starting to hate the events this place liked to throw at them, but hate would be too weak of a word. Even with the events, life went on. The dogs were still here and Jane wasn't back yet. She still had to take them for walks while the mansion left them around during the events.

Bonus she could remember her name and where she was. If she just ignored the little vignettes and the weird shit popping up in the garden, it'd be groovy. Or at least that's what she firmly believed until one of the started barking at something in the hallway. She stops to reel in the dogs before bending down to take a closer look. Is that-- "H-oooooooh my god, Bruce?"

And it's almost like one of them recognizes the name and is fighting against the leash to say hello with a big ol' kiss. "Mocha, no! The doctor is not a chew toy!" Oh boy.

"Coffee shop, mush!" Ok, she doesn't actually need to say mush but they get the picture and are already pulling on their leashes to go back down the hall to their spot in the back room. So she unclips them and watches them take off, making sure they actually go where they're supposed to before returning her attention to Tiny Bruce.

"Do you need help getting somewhere or... I guess this is the first time I've actually had to deal with the 'Honey I shrunk the scientist' thing so, I'm gonna need a sec to catch up here."
sorryitasedyou: (The loving you later as if at all)

"This place just keeps getting better each year." Needy flowers. Well, that's different. "Ok, so do you need to get anywhere? Maybe upstairs? I could make you a tiny sandwich and a tiny cup of tea with some tiny cookies..." Someone's having waaaaaaaaaaay too much fun with the idea of small everything.

Easier than supersizing it all, really.

Bruceling!

At first, Wanda finds it puzzling to pick up on the nearby presence of another person when she can't actually see anyone in the immediate vicinity as she leaves the mansion and makes her way out into the grounds, intent on examining more of the fallen stars and the memories they've chosen to show. The presence is insistent enough that it nags at her, gets her to slow her pace and scan her surroundings, but it takes several moments before she manages to look downwards and spot what looks like a miniature version of Bruce making his way back towards the mansion itself.

Oh. Well. That explains-- absolutely nothing, but crouches down to get a better look, frowning.

"Dr. Banner?"

"By most standards, not far, but the size you are now--"

She can only imagine how long it might take him to drag himself back to the mansion as he is, especially in the freezing cold. She shakes her head slightly, holding a hand out to him almost immediately, against the ground with her palm turned upwards to make it easier for him to climb aboard.

"Perhaps it would be easier if I gave you a lift," she remarks dryly. "The sooner we can find you something to wear, the better."

"Perhaps it would be a good idea to have something normal-sized on standby," she adds, although doll clothes do seem about right for the time being. "I assume this is temporary."

For all the damage Wonderland did-- or tried to do, in its own way-- it hardly ever lasted, at least not the physical aspects. She offers him a grim smile as she begins to carry him towards the mansion and, inevitably, warmth, shaking her head to dismiss the offer of thanks.

"How did this happen? Do you know?"

"I had not thought to be cautious of even the flowers in Wonderland," Wanda confesses sourly, casting a suspicious glance towards the garden before using her free hand to let the both of them back inside, leaving the chill air behind them.

"While I am sure Wonderland will return you to normal-- if nothing else, Billy may be able to help." She sounds almost proud, in fact-- Billy could do a great many things that she couldn't even imagine being capable of, though apparently her alternate self was quite adept with magic as well. "Where is your room?"

"He knows more about magic than most," Wanda corrects him, a note of pride present beneath her words. She follows his directive, giving him a curious glance as she adjusts her course to carry him towards the basement.

"I have yet to see your lab. Is it as much of a hazard as Stark's seems to be?"

It's not a dig at Tony, not really. Last time she'd seen Tony's workshop, it had been torn apart by goblins-- not a sight easily forgotten.

"I try not to make a habit of that," Wanda tells him with a wry smile, quickly covering the distance between the entrance hall and the basement, careful to keep him balanced in one upturned hand while she uses the other to push open the door and take hold of the railing. "I do not like surprises, particularly deadly ones. Have you been working on something new, then?"
