Who: Zelena and you!
Where: Somewhere in the Deep Roads
When: 5/5 – 5/9
Rating: PG/PG-13 for some sort of magical violence
Summary: In which Zelena actually likes part of this event. What is wrong with her?
The Story:

[A, pretty much anytime during the event]

Normally Zelena's the type to just not get involved in an event if she can help it. But given what happened last time, she figured the easiest way to avoid getting dragged into dealing with people she likes and talking about ugh, feelings and the world not revolving around her, would be to just jump straight into things. So into the Deep Roads she went.

And she really isn't surprised by how awful it is. There's spiders, and dinosaurs, and spiders, and spiders, oh and those horrid zombie things too. Honestly, this is far from her idea of a good time. But you know what? It beats having to talk to people, and she can vent her frustrations on these things without having to worry about them respawning. Or wanting to talk her out of being a horrible person.

So she's in here, happily, yes, happily throwing fireballs at Darkspawn. Or occasionally turning one into a flying monkey and sending it after something else in the darkness. Honestly, she can't remember the last time she's had so much fun in Wonderland. So she's in a surprisingly decent mood, despite everything being awful. So don't expect the usual grimacing and griping about Wonderland. At least not right away if you run into her down here.

And who knows? She might even be willing to lend a helping hand with things for once because this is apparently her idea of a good time. Or at least a better time than most events usually are anyway.

[B, towards the end of the event]

Unfortunately all good things must come to an end someday. So Zelena's going to head back after spending way too much time torching things. But she's not heading back empty handed as she seems to be walking an old blue bicycle back out of the Deep Roads, occasionally stopping to deal with whatever crosses her path. Sure, she could just magic her way out, but she's tired, and the longer she spends not having to deal with regular Wonderland, the better.

She doesn't seem to be as happy as she was before, and seems remarkably less homicidal than she's been over the past few days, so that's something. And it's not like she necessarily feels like talking about her particular treasure, but if she's approached, she can at least attempt some sort of conversation. If only because this time she actually wants to talk to someone, rather than being forced to because she's trapped on a stupid boat.

[ the girl cannot believe she had made it out alive.

the once sansa stark turned alayne stone and then sansa stark again has never been meant for adventures and peril. she had always preferred her silks and lemon cakes and reading of those same adventures rather than partaking in them.

but at the very least, westeros had taught sansa stark that the world is anything but a song and that most times, she would never get that which she desires. she had followed arya to the deep roads, upset and worried for her sister.

her silks are torn here and there and her hair is loose around her shoulders and the silver dagger is clutched firmly in her hands when she comes upon the woman.

she, herself, hardly looks the part of a lady but she curtsies all the same, such an odd thing to do here. ]

my lady. Please, I mean no harm.

[ it's easy to fall into suspicions here, after all ]

Alistair senses the darkspawn first, a familiar crawling sensation under his skin that he hasn't missed one bit. The sounds of battle reach him next and he can feel magic being tossed around - not an emissary as far as he can tell but, given how different the magic he's seen in Wonderland can be from what he knows, it's hard to be certain until he arrives on the scene.

The woman seems to have the situation pretty well in-hand but he figures she won't mind some help clearing these things out. And besides, he can't just keep walking and leave her to fight alone.... Relatively alone, as he sees one of the darkspawn turn into a, a flying monkey? And go swooping off to maul something else.

Oookay.

Luckily a hurlock notices him at that moment and charges him with a snarl, distracting him from monkeys of any kind. It's a brief battle what with the fire and the monkeys and his blade and before long they're the only ones left standing. Wiping off his battered longsword on one of the bodies, Alistair sheaths it at his side and slings his shield across his back once more to join the runed, glowing, dragonbone blade he also carries. He can't do much about the blood splattered on him so just turns to face the woman who'd started the battle.

"I don't think I've ever seen magic like yours. That was impressive." Impressive but there's also something nagging at him about it. Something about those transformations he saw, though he can't recall what just yet. It will come to him. And until then, well she was fighting the darkspawn too and he's not defenseless where magic is concerned. And the term apostate doesn't mean much here where there's no Circles for mages to be illegally outside of in the first place.

Smiling hopefully he extends a hand. "I'm Alistair."
