Who: Clint Barton & Darcy Lewis
Where: Coffee Shop
When: So late on the 31st its actually just the 1st now
Rating: PG-13
Summary: Darcy has been a bit of a wreck for the better part of a week, so Clint does the only thing he can think of, he gets her drunk.
The Story:

He doesn't know Darcy all that well, but Natasha introduced them and while she didn't say it outright she made it clear that Darcy was someone she was looking out for. Which meant Clint was as well. The appearance of Bucky Barnes in the absence of Steve seems to riled a few people and Clint could tell that Darcy had been running herself ragged trying to take care of everything. So it might have been a little guilt over the fact that that he hadn't stepped up when the other three disappeared (in his defense he had no idea who Bucky was until at least the third day the guy was here) and let everything rest on Darcy's shoulders that has him showing up at the coffee shop after hours with a bottle of whiskey and a crossbow.

Getting drunk and shooting things was usually how Clint dealt with stress (there was a reason he wasn't the leader of the Avengers, well there were a few reasons but irresponsible decisions was one of them).

If she thought she could get away with doing the whole 'not responsible' act on a more regular basis lately... She totally would. Leave the adulting to the other, more qualified adults. Adults that didn't think crackers, cheese whiz, and cereal created a well-balanced meal.

Picking up the other mug, she places that and one of the demitasses in front of her - pushing the smaller one forward. "I'm thinking I'm gonna start neat and go from there." Start a little more potent and then maybe dirty things up a bit before adding food to the mix. "There's ice in the bin here, and I've got some bottles of water if you want to get fancy."

no worries, I'm technically on hiatus so I'll be on the slow train

Most of the people in Wonderland tended to be hit or miss on the idea of being a qualified adult, especially with the events and the not needing to work.

She gladly takes the cup, bringing it to her lips at the question - letting the smooth burn work its way down her throat before trying to speak. "Well, I'll be pretty happy to see everyone come back. Although, not sure I'm excited about the stories they might have." Considering last time Steve went home, he came back telling stories about killer robots and basically leveling a city. "I'm just grateful for a little downtime."

She could definitely answer the question, although she's gonna take a really long drink before doing it. She didn't have some of the same hang ups that might go with asking Steve, so she'll definitely field it.

"Yeah, although sometimes they don't come back. Or they leave in groups or go one by one? Natasha, Pepper, and Jane all went home in the span of like two weeks and they didn't come back. Not right away. That's why I always check people's rooms when they go." It's morbid, but a necessary evil. "I went home once. Went through like two years worth of life before they dragged me back. Messes with your mind a little. I wish there was a consistent way it did this crap, but that's definitely asking way too much of Wonderland. Just like I wish it would bring people back with their memories, no matter how long they were gone."

It'd make her life a hell of a lot easier, seriously.

This type of information was best given over booze for this exact reason. "I hate to say it, but it's easier to wrap your head around after you experience it with someone. I don't know, it's... it's weird. And yes, you were." And she actually laughs at this because it's one of her favorite memories. "I met you the first time while you were picking a lock to break into a random room."

Honestly, it's for the best that a few of them don't remember certain things... But she definitely has a few memories she wished people remembered. "We also all had a killer kitchen party when Tony and I were testing a theory and it backfired."

"You know, that's a great question and to this day... I'm not really sure. I just wrote it off as some weird Avenger spy thing." And she gives a little wiggle of her fingers around her mug for emphasis.

"And as for the kitchen, nothing exploded - surprisingly. There was a lot of melted ice cream, though. Lord Buckingham was showing me how to build a solid fortress to protect against invasions. And we kinda left a disaster in our wake with all the food. I... don't think we had a full-on food fight? I know I threw a milkshake at Bucky, but that was a different day when he was having a polar bear problem. I think you threw chocolate chips at someone. Probably Natasha, honestly. Or maybe Tony." She can totes help with adulting and throwing in the most random shit that literally makes no sense without context.
