Summary: Obviously the first thing you do when you get a human body? Is go drink yourself into unconsciousness, yep.
The Story:

So waking up in a new room was weird, definitely, but after all the time spent as a mobile AI, the weirdest part for him is how big he actually feels.

Also pain, that's not exactly fun either but he's experienced that before, even experienced a body in the memory unit.

Kind of, but this one feels different somehow. Maybe knowing this one is actually real and not some construct that can't actually die. Epsilon also kind of neglected to tell anyone he was doing this so that's a conversation he's not looking forward to having.

So avoiding Carolina for a while?

Definitely a thing.

Which is all well and good except his first stop is the bar, because like hell he's going to pass up the chance to drink.

Vodka wasn't too bad, so he'd stuck with that. Epsilon gestured to the bottle in front of him and then rubbed a hand over his eyes. "Vodka. Seems safe enough compared to the shit I tried earlier."

[tremoring]

"Hell of a definition of safe." Mostly joking, said with a small laugh. "What was the other shit? Do I even want to know?" She's made some -- so many -- Bad Alcohol Choices in her life, so she's not judging.

"I don't know, it was in a bright blue bottle though." And okay maybe safe wasn't the right word.

"Recognizable and doesn't taste like dead ass might be a better description than safe, actually."

[tremoring]

"I mean, those are also good qualifiers. Not tasting like dead ass is a nice start." She gets up and gets behind the bar, rummaging around for some things. "What kinds of stuff do you like?" She's gonna see if she can make something that tastes not like dead ass.

"Would you believe I don't actually know?" After a moment, glancing across the bar at her.

"All my memories of that sort of thing, aren't really mine."

[tremoring]

"I've heard this place likes taking our memories sometimes. Or you mean like, something else?" She pulls out the stuff for a white Russian, since there's already a vodka theme going on anyway and makes one.

"These are pretty good." She slides the glass over to him.

[memory_unlocked]

"Something else." After a moment.

"I was a computer program until this morning, actually."

[tremoring]

Her eyebrows lift at that. "That's an adjustment." Understatement? Yeah. "So this is an intentional switch?"
