+ FOURTH WALL EVENT: BEACH PARTY +
Who: E V E R Y O N E
Where: The Beach!
When: Sept 5th to Sept 10th
Rating: G to PG-13 (please label higher ratings, thank you!)
Summary: Are the other parties a little too crowded and chaotic for you? Come and chill by the water! And don't forget to have a look at the Fourth Wall Master Post for event rules, puzzle clues, and more places to mingle!
The Story:

Beginning on September 5th, much of the shoreline will be taken over by a massive beach party! As with all good Wonderland parties, it will be run day and night, always mysteriously tidy and always with food that replenishes itself.
At various points along the beach, there will be wheel barrels full of candy and treats, and torches for people to claim as their own. There are also volleyball nets, and when darkness falls they will light up like Christmas trees for those who want to play well into the night.
There are many places set up to sit - some with tables, some with pillows and blankets, many with shade, and some even dug out in the sand. There is music playing, but the source is unclear.
However, there's one thing that the curious may find - a message in a bottle. It will regenerate within five minutes if taken, allowing as many curious truth-seekers to investigate as possible.

Mirror-Max
[This has been a great, great, great event so far. Now it's going to be even better. Mirror-Max approaches (practically skips toward) the blue-haired girl. She's clad in a dark brown bikini, and is flashing a bright grin. As a final touch, she's also got a pair of sunglasses on, her eyes excitedly staring up at Chloe from underneath.]
And I'll kick your butt, too.
no subject
Wow. A bikini and trash-talking, huh? Who are you and what have you done with my best friend?
[Chloe is laughing when she says all this, clearly meaning it to be a joke. She has no clue that she's talking to Mirror-Max, and not her Max.]
no subject
[She winks at Chloe, still smiling bright.] I left you some messages on your mirror. Remember?
no subject
And it just had to be Mirror-Max. Great. As if this place isn't screwed up enough.
She lets Mirror-Max take the ball from her but doesn't get into position to play.]
Yeah, I do remember.
[Chloe doesn't return the smile. She can't help but feel cold towards her. To Chloe, seeing another Max, not her Max is so... wrong. She doesn't like it. At all.]
So when are you going back to wherever you came from?
no subject
Come on. She didn't even do anything yet. Give her a chance.]
...Did I say something wrong?
[Her voice is plaintive and soft.]
no subject
A Max that's not really Max? Yeah, not a fan of that particular freak show.
no subject
Hey... I'm not trying to be her or anything. We just... look the same.
[She wishes she could add I'm not a freak in there, but that might actually be a lie.]
no subject
Whatever, man. We can play but don't expect we'll be great buddies after this.
no subject
She had hoped it would go better, but her actual expectations were for something more like this.]
Why not?
[She calls out sadly as Chloe turns, not yet taking up a position on the opposite side of the net.]
I haven't even done anything. We could have tons of fun.
no subject
Why not? Because you're some fucking freakshow who looks like my best friend but isn't my best friend. Now I've been pretty okay with all the shit Wonderland [Chloe gestures at the beach.] has thrown at me. But this,
[She gestures at Mirror-Max this time.]
This is just too much. And I'm not buying it. Not for one goddamn second.
[Chloe steps back a bit.]
So you could either fuck off,
[She points at the direction towards the mansion.]
Or we could play a game of volleyball and pretend like we don't know each other.
1/2
She sounds really pissed. Max cringes and leans slightly away from the other girl's outburst, at a loss for words. She'd expected Chloe to get weirded out, but not downright angry.
Ugh. Mirror-Max pouts and with a crestfallen expression holds out one hand. Rewind, rewind.
Chloe gets out of her face- the ball leaps back up into the air and into Chloe's hands. To Max it sounds like a wind picks up at the beach, building up to a loud roar as time rushes back and back-

She, uhh... I'm, I'm mirror-Max, not the real Max. I just look like her, but I'm not her, and we don't... have to pretend that I'm her. Because I'm really not. I just wanna play with you.
[This is gross. She feels closer to the real Max than ever: awkward pauses, stuttering, at a loss for words. God.]
I left you some messages on your mirror, remember? I just... wanna have fun with you.
no subject
But it still doesn't change the fact that she looks like Max but isn't Max.]
Yeah, I remember those. What are you doing here? Don't you live on the other side of a mirror?
no subject
When she speaks her voice is more cheerful, light.]
Yeah, but we got let out to play! So let's play? Please?
no subject
[What is she, some kind of prisoner?]
Who let you out?
no subject
no subject
WHAT? There's a Mirror-Chloe too??
no subject
[She almost teases Chloe about forgetting so easily, but this is going well so far and she doesn't want to screw it up!]
She's really boring.
no subject
[A pause.]
Well, I said I remembered the writings. I didn't say I remembered what they said.
[Chloe looks around the beach.]
Is she here too? Mirror-Chloe?
no subject
no subject
Wait. I think I'd like to know if there's another Chloe running around here. Are you sure she's not here?
no subject
You think I wouldn't notice?
no subject
Well, if you have a problem with me asking questions,
[She jerks her thumb to direction of the mansion.]
you can clear out and go back to whatever circus act you came from.
no subject
I just meant because she's really pretty and... I'd notice if she was here.
no subject
Well, if she does look like me, then she's probably too hot to miss.
