Summary: Are the other parties a little too crowded and chaotic for you? Come and chill by the water! And don't forget to have a look at the Fourth Wall Master Post for event rules, puzzle clues, and more places to mingle!
The Story:

Beginning on September 5th, much of the shoreline will be taken over by a massive beach party! As with all good Wonderland parties, it will be run day and night, always mysteriously tidy and always with food that replenishes itself.

At various points along the beach, there will be wheel barrels full of candy and treats, and torches for people to claim as their own. There are also volleyball nets, and when darkness falls they will light up like Christmas trees for those who want to play well into the night.

There are many places set up to sit - some with tables, some with pillows and blankets, many with shade, and some even dug out in the sand. There is music playing, but the source is unclear.

However, there's one thing that the curious may find - a message in a bottle. It will regenerate within five minutes if taken, allowing as many curious truth-seekers to investigate as possible.

[The pained press of palm to temple, the blossoming of the incipient headache behind eyes, all sensory stimuli and input would indicate the unquestionable reality of this experience but there is, in his mind, no reasonable means through which he could have been autoschediastically transported from a ship several billion light years from Earth to a fucking beach full of the fucking quotidian organized chaos of what appears to be a vast, unbearable social function of some kind.

With no empirical means of verifying that any of this is real in any impressionable, meaningful way, Rush shakes the overlong hair from his eyes with a practiced flick of his head and elects to label this, all of this, to be some sort of non-physical, subjective, simulated experience generated by some sort of neurological, heretofore unknown protocol buried in Destiny's systems or by a psychotic break or one of the two or a combination.

Neither one is particularly appealing to him.

He finds the latter doubtful, because he is fairly certain that if he were having a psychotic break, he would be visualizing an environment far less tortuous than a fucking beach. The air is crisp and literal, and he prefers it. He always did prefer the smell of salt and the sea.

With little else appealing to him in any manner, he homes in on the single aspect of this world that he finds at all intriguing: the bottle (adorably quaint, he's sure, he thinks with no small measure of disdain as he removes the message within) whose note delineates a coded message of some kind.

There is a problem, and it is there, and therefore he will throw himself at it and attempt to break it, force it to open to him as all things open to him, in the vague hope that executing every scrap of mental willpower - that which is not actively devoted to fending off the headache that builds and always builds with a leucotome-like precision - into decrypting whatever it is encrypted in this scrap of paper will take him someplace marginally more interesting.

And marginally less populated.

This would also be preferred.]

[Gold's last tenure in Wonderland involved him having his own Mirror killed for the sake of completing a project that might have rid him of his need for the dagger, so this is a bit of a startling thing to return to, especially since he's... not quite the last Mirror that Gold recalls.

Hopefully, he doesn't have any recollections of his previous self's unfortunate end. That wouldn't be very practical of the Queen of Hearts, unless she was seeking revenge for trying to break Wonderland's rules, but the fact that his horrific experiment probably killed him, he would have figured that was revenge enough.

Really, he should just walk away and let the Mirror do his business, but he's been so long not in this realm, and he can't abide having his Mirror loose- he might not have magic right now, but he has one thing he's now recalled he doesn't need magic to augment- cleverness.

And with that in mind, he approaches, limping but confident.]

[Greg's SO EXCITED for a beach day! Wirt says he shouldn't go to the beach alone, and Wirt himself doesn't want to go like EVER so now that there's ALL KINDS of people going, it's gotta be okay for him to go, right?

Greg's trying a little bit of everything as a result of all his pent up beach desires. He's splashing in the water, throwing beach balls around, eating hot dogs and watermelon as messily as possible, building sand castles...]

[But the nonstop party catches up with him eventually. At some point in the mid-afternoon he falls asleep flat on the sand, clearly having not meant to. If someone doesn't move him he's gonna get a serious sunburn.]

[ Phineas was running around the beach looking for the supplies to make a super giant water slide. While Ferb has been waiting on that, he's been working on a metal detector that maps everything under the sand so he can see what it's pinging. The parts? Well he got those from items around Wonderland he'd cannibalised for parts. No one would miss them much... Probably...

The green haired boy had been settled next to Greg as he toiled away. Occasionally pausing to wipe sweat from his forhead, wrinkle his sunblock covered nose and then go back to work. Soon enough, the water had begun to threaten both of them and Greg sandcastle. Wordlessly, Ferb turned the finished(?) machine towards Greg and pressed a button. Goodbye li'l guy, this spells the end for you and your sandcastle, oh, wait... It's just digging a rather large moat between Greg and the water.... By itself... Well...

When the odd contraption finishes, Ferb gives him a thumbs up. He really hopes someone lost a shipload of bolts on the beach... Just wait till that moat fills up, it'll be a cool beach on a beach. ]

[Rick has been coasting along for the past five days in a state of perpetual drunkenness, and this is now the third party in a row, and he is showing absolutely no signs of stopping. In the back of his mind he's recognizing that he actually got this shitfaced and stupid pretty recently back home. This is exactly how he reacted to seeing Unity again, and it's also how he reacted to losing them again. But whatever, now is absolutely not the time for self-judgement. It's a goddamn party!]

[Rick is aggressively drinking, eating and dancing his way through the entire party and can be found anywhere.]

[Perhaps a little ironically, it isn't the drinking itself that makes Elizabeth worried about him, but how much he's throwing himself into the dancing while intoxicated - she worries he might dislocate a hip or something. She approaches between songs, gesturing toward one of the pits dug out in the sand to chill in.]

[Kind of counterintuitive, given that it's a party, but that's exactly his reasoning. His Mirror, while ineffectual and not particularly dangerous, keeps trying to get the drop on him. Keeps appearing in his room, keeps leaping at him from around corners. It's a lot like having an insane cat that perpetually wants to murder you. The Mirror keeps lurking in Sans's room. His hotdog stand is too public.]

[The roof is simply not an option and never will be again.]

[So, the best idea seems to be to do the unexpected, and the unexpected is for Sans to actually show up to a party. He shows up fashionably late, well into the evening, and finds a nice, dug out hole in the sand well on down the beach, away from everyone else. Once there, he goes to sleep almost immediately, desperately trying to get a nap or two in before anyone, Mirrors included, decide to bother him.]

[When he's not there, he might be spotted at the food tables, grabbing a snack and probably a cocktail or two to take the edge off. He's squirreling everything away in his hole in the sand, though, so if you blink you might miss him.]

[He has the hood of his hoodie up the entire time, for some reason.]

[What a nice place Papyrus has ended up in! There's tons of parties, and the best part? All of the parties have puzzles. Unfortunately, Papyrus' worst enemy has reared its ugly head: the Junior Jumble.

Papyrus is walking around with a pencil and the message in the bottle, and has written down all of the letters that are missing from the message directly on the paper. But what does he do with these letters now? PLNOOI...? WHAT COULD THIS POSSIBLY MEAN??? Papyrus paces back and forth, nibbling on the eraser of the pencil as he tries to think.

He's not quite looking where he's going and nearly trips over something in the sand, stopping himself just short of stepping on it. Wait, "it" is a person.]

OH, SORRY!

[He turns and walks away again, still staring at the letters on the paper.

He quickly shuffles back to the person, paper forgotten.]

[When he appeared here and all the memories hit him, he had to literally step inside a broom closet to keep from screaming and/or any other embarrassing outbursts. A half an hour after that, he has composed himself and is ready for Wonderland.]

[So he tells himself, and he won't be told otherwise, but in the back of his mind he knows that no one is ever really ready for Wonderland.]

[This is fine. This is absolutely fine. A quick mental sweep of the place tells him that there are few, if any, fellow angels and demons in residence, which is a damned--blessed--whatever sight better than the last time he was here. No Michael to contend with, no Gabriel. Just. Well. The Boss, on the edge of his periphery, but this is Wonderland, and he can tell even from here that it's the wrong guy. Just like last time, of course.]

[No angels means no Aziraphale.]

[That...that might be for the best. People aren't supposed to remember Wonderland when they return. Crowley has no idea how he managed to pull it off, but it would be too much to expect the angel to remember everything as well. If he were here.]

[There's a party invitation in his pocket and oh, what the Hell, might as well dive right into the mess that is Wonderland and attend. He has always been fond of beach parties and beaches in general. The ocean is nice, even if it's...cold and wet and kind of gross. He creates a nice, beach-appropriate suit for himself and once there, occupies himself with drinking steadily and trying to relax.]

[So there is now a demon on the beach, looking extremely human and extremely British, mostly people-watching. He is sharp and well-dressed and is wearing sunglasses at night like a complete douche. His shoes, if they are shoes, appear to be made of snakeskin.]

[He seems...not quite melancholy, but perhaps a bit contemplative.]

[From the moment that Rose had first arrived in Wonderland. The beach had been one of the few places that almost made being here worthwhile. Somewhere less alien to her than the expansive Mansion and its grounds. A token pleasure to a person who back home, was surrounded by trees as far as the eye could see and lived permanently on a night schedule.

She hadn't been pulled in by the opulence of the Throne Room party and while the House Party had been more her speed? Her search for familiar faces that she shouldn't have wanted to see in this place had left little time for celebrations.

With a beach party overtaking her favorite place to be in Wonderland, Rose is relatively easy to spot among the revelers as the week goes on. Arriving in time for sundown like clockwork and lingering for a time after. It's after darkness falls however, that you might feel like you're seeing double. For as different as Rose and her Mirror! might be. Their favorite choice of location seems to be the one thing they do have in common.]

(OOC Open to both Real & Mirror!Rose. For the canonblind: Rose is a sassy Dhampir with a short fuse and a lack of impulse control. Mirror!Rose (scholarliness) is a naive, bookish, magic wielding Vampire.)

[ sundown is one of kairi's favorite times. well, to be honest, she likes all times on the beach, but there's something about the look of the sun setting over the water that she's always liked. maybe it's the associations she has with sora and riku, always watching the sun set over the water until their parents called them back so they could boat over to the mainland. or the memory of watching the sun set over the water behind their island from the road on the mainland, thinking that she wouldn't go back until she remembered the boy's name.

she had, in the end, and then she'd gone back to the island with both of her boys. the two most important people in her life. she misses them now.

she misses a lot of people right now.

so when she sees someone who looks less than enthusiastic about being here -- maybe it's the sun, maybe the beach, or maybe the lack of certain people -- kairi can't help but be drawn to her. smile easy and friendly, she approaches with a light wave. ]

[ So, there have been a lot of parties. It hasn't escaped his notice, even if he'd escaped their expanse until now. Shiro can't say he's been in much of a partying mood. Maybe it's that he hasn't had time to settle in and adjust to the weirdness of Wonderland before this whole thing started, but far more likely is that he's pegged these parties as distractions, as induced fun to lessen their fight. As far as these events he's heard about go, he figures this is probably the lightest they can get, but he doesn't trust a second of it.

Trust or no, he finally decides to personally investigate some time after the third party has started on the beach. Does he stick out like a sore thumb? Well, he's not at all dressed for the beach, so probably. He's in clothes as opposed to his armour though, so it could be worse.

For a party, he doesn't do much partying. Mostly, he hangs off to the side of things and looks more like he's on guard duty than anything else. The thing is, he's paranoid as hell, so part of him is honestly expecting some weird business to happen during the festivities-- There have been two other parties so far and nothing has gone wrong. If the fun bubble is going to be burst, it's going to happen soon, right? He's too new to this mess to know that sometimes, Wonderland just likes to tease with treasure hunts, but he knows enough to be wary of anything pleasant when you're technically a captive.

Though he looks like some out of place stick in the mud with a shiny arm, he won't turn away anyone who approaches. He doesn't even look unapproachable for what it's worth, and if he gains nothing else from poking around suspiciously at this party, he does at least hope to meet and learn more about the people he's trapped here with, be they long or short-term residents. Come say hi? He probably has a wicked serve if you can convince him into playing some volleyball. ]

[They recognize him vaguely from posting a few days ago, but most of their memories of the past few days are something of a blur. Still, that's no excuse not to have fun.

Actually, it's totally an excuse not to have fun. Frisk is bravely struggling to have fun despite dealing with a long string of increasingly traumatic events since this whole thing began.

Frisk has a volleyball balanced rather expertly on their head - it's a gift, really - when they wander over.]

[Chloe makes her way to the beach in a black bikini she nicked from her closet. She takes a swig from the beer bottle in her hand and stops just at the edge of the beach. There's hardly any people right now. Most are just lazing around on the sand, building sand castles and other shitty things. As fas as parties go, this probably is the most boring one Wonderland has ever thrown. Chloe is just about to let out a yawn when she something catches her attention. She walks further into the beach and stops in front of a white volleyball. She picks it up and tosses it in the air, then catches it again.

Time to spike things up in this snoozefest.

She tosses the ball in the air again, this time hoping to catch other people's attention.]

[This has been a great, great, great event so far. Now it's going to be even better. Mirror-Max approaches (practically skips toward) the blue-haired girl. She's clad in a dark brown bikini, and is flashing a bright grin. As a final touch, she's also got a pair of sunglasses on, her eyes excitedly staring up at Chloe from underneath.]

[ Philip takes the first seat he can find, and jots down the bottled message into his notebook. The pages before it are already filled with clues and ciphers, and so far the answers have been-- Huh. Well. Something. He's got time to figure out what to make of it, at the very least until the last party. ]

[ And so, by day, you might run into a guy wearing bright yellow bathing trunks, swimming in the ocean, or catching a bit of sun on the beach. He'll be easy enough to persuade if you're looking for someone to join your beach volleyball team. Just don't ask about the tattoo on his left ankle. And especially don't ask about the symbol burnt into the back of his left thigh. ]

[ He puts on a set of bathrobes for the heck of it, but even now the night air isn't cold enough to make him feel it. Philip sits in a large wicker chair, cigarette in his hand, eyes staring out at the ocean. The sun is a lot closer to rising than setting, and the party's all but gone quiet. Most of the people who remain he ignores, and keeps staring silently ahead, lost in his own thoughts.

Only every once in a while a familiar face catches his attention, enough to actually pay some. ]

[ he points out, as if it wasn't the both of them.

[ When Jeff showed up a few hours ago he thought maybe he was dreaming. No, scratch that, he definitely though he was dreaming, but when the day kept going and he kept not waking up he had to deal with the fact that he's like, stuck here. In Wonderland, or whatever. It's not an easy pill to swallow.

He's been hanging back mostly, trying to get a read on the situation before actually approaching anyone, but it's late now and he's tired and damn, he wants a drink. There's a guy with a cigarette in his hand, who looks sort of like the town drunk, and Jeff can't think of a better place to get booze. It's not like he's going to walk up to the big creepy house to get some. No thanks.

So, he pulls up another wicker chair and plops down loudly into it, crossing his feet at the ankles and looking out over the water. ]

[ maybe she should be wary of this. riku probably would be. but kairi can't help liking the entire party. it's a beach party. of course she's here for a beach party. why wouldn't she be?

despite knowing that it's been a while since she was last here -- she can feel some of the changes and see others, too -- and knowing what this place is and does, she's still happy about being back. some of her best memories came from this place and the people in it. so she can't help wondering...

one of her hands lifts, curling around the end of her necklace. arland and namine likely aren't here anymore. it had been weird to exist alongside her nobody at first, but kairi had grown to love both of them in their own ways and arland was one of very few people kairi trusted to watch out for namine and keep her safe. maybe she'll find them here. she hopes so.


for the most part, she hangs around the volleyball court. people shouldn't be surprised if a redhead runs up to them and asks, ] Hey! Do you want to play volleyball? [ if she amasses two teams for this, all the better, but she'll settle for anyone at this point, even one other person. but the more, the merrier.

aside from that, she can be found anywhere on the beach: in the water, by the food, chatting up random people. no one is safe from kairi and she'll approach the most unlikely people with a bright smile: ] Beach parties are my favorite.

...Technically, he'd seen a beach before, but there was a difference between seeing one and actually walking in the sand. Which he was doing at the moment. Technically, he should probably be looking for Carolina and/or Wash, but that way lies a lot of issues he's not really ready to confront.

Although he's going to have to eventually.

But during the day, he'll be taking full advantage of the food and places to sit and occasionally maybe even approaching the random partygoer.

And by the time night falls, he's just standing at the water's edge, letting it wash over his feet. "...Tex probably would have been bored out of her skull here."

The days have been a mess of confusion and far too many people since Wonderland has started throwing all of these parties and, apparently, inviting more guests than usual, and it's put Carolina on edge. She's always restless at nights, but tonight it's especially bad and, in an effort to calm herself down or at least ease some of her tension, she's come down toward the beach party. Though she's been avoiding the parties altogether, she can't deny that the one on the beach is... kind of pretty at night, with all the lanterns and torches. It sort of draws her in.

At first, she doesn't plan to stick around long. Just check it out, get a bit of fresh air, then head back up to her room, that's all. Except, she catches sight of a vaguely familiar figure over by the water. It takes her a few seconds to realize why the guy is familiar, given she hadn't seen that face more than a small handful of times before he disappeared, but once she figures it out, obviously she can't ignore him.

"Yeah, she would have been," she agrees quietly as she approaches from behind. Arms crossed in front of herself, Carolina comes to stand by Epsilon's side without looking at him, her gaze out on the water. Her brow is furrowed, expression not quite a full frown, but that's all that she shows of her frustration for the moment. "But why are you thinking about how she would feel here?"

Arya Stark | ASOIAF/Game of Thrones | Resident | OTA

Arya's never been to a beach - she'd seen the sea from King's Landing, but it was something else entirely to experience this sort of party. She's delighted by the feel of sand running through her toes and the waves lapping on the shore, and she runs in and out of the ocean, splashing and diving, until she's completely worn out.

She seats herself in the sand next to one of the wheel barrows of candy, reaching up to grab handfuls from it while she begins to shape the sand in front of her into a crude approximation of a castle - art has never been her strong point, and it could be anything at all just from looking at it.

There's a girl with vividly blue hair plunking herself down in the sand beside Arya, and whole bag of nacho-powdered peanuts she's pilfered from the array of snacks, which she immediately begins pressing into the sand to create little lines of walkways between the towers- Sure, any sensible person wouldn't waste food and just use seashells, but theres so much food here!

"We can make little roads... or peanut-people, standing guard at the top!"

[ he's found a place, far away from the hustle and bustle of the party. The real side is...well, it's wonderful. Words can' describe the gentle colors of the ocean. The dark blue of the sky, or the fiery redness of the sun. A torch is nestled softly into the sand next to him.

He pulls his long, lanky legs into his chest and squeezes them. This place is beautiful, but it sets his nerves aflame. So many people-- so many people who would hurt him, hurt him so badly. People who would sooner leave him in physical or emotional anguish than? Be his? Friend?

He strokes the back of a gloved hand under the peaceful blaze of the torch next to him.

Far, far away from everyone. ]

[They don't recognize the Mirror for what he is when they slide down to sit next to him, thinking he might as well just be Papyrus, enjoying an unusual moment of quiet. He must like such things now and then, right?

Their voice is soft but no less kind as they murmur quietly:]

[These parties have been a godsend, all things considered, and Mettaton is now here for the third party and ready to actually get smashed. Whereas before he would drink human alcohol and pretend he was as inebriated as everyone else, here he's decided to drink Monster alcohol and let himself be carried away.

That might not be the smartest thing for a being made of metal and electricity while being so close to the water, but Mettaton has never been the kind of guy to play it safe.

He might call out to you with a friendly greeting, or maybe he's sitting next to you ordering another drink, but he is here to have a good time and damn it, he's gonna have one.]

[Despite how tempting this party is, Mirror Mettaton approaches it cautiously. So much sand and water getting into his systems could cause a malfunction and he really can't afford that. So he sticks more to the sidelines, steadily avoiding any activity that could put his body in any danger. He still keeps an eye out for his Real, but for anyone approaching him, his anxious manner of being right now is a dead giveaway that this is probably not the real Mettaton.

He can be found sitting at some of the tables with shade or delicately poking at the food table and munching on something delectable.]

[It's been a...trying time, they think. They've met too many people, exhausted themselves with too many potential enemies and potential friends. The last few days have passed by a dizzy, wearying blur of words exchanged and universes compared and terrifying things made manifest.

They're tired.

They're tired enough to spend most of their time sitting at the edge of the water, watching the waves lap up against the shore, bare feet digging into the slightly-damp sand and trying to sort through an impossible assortment of thoughts.

But as the night progresses and the evening makes the dark shadows beneath their eyes less evident, Frisk may be more willing to engage people directly, challenging them to a game of volleyball (they have never played volleyball) or just stopping to say hello.

They want a break, but that doesn't necessarily mean the night will be giving it to them.]

[It's getting dark. She spies Frisk sitting near the edge of the tide from a distance and thinks, first, of running away. They wouldn't know. They'd never know. And how could she know it was her Frisk? She'd never have to.

A voice in her mind whispers something about being very tired, and she sighs and agrees.

Another voice whispers they're replacing Simon and she flinches, hugging her wounded and sloppily-bandaged arms loosely.

She stares at them from behind for a time, then walks equally barefoot up, coming to a stop next to them. Not too close. But not as far as her brain thinks she should. (Her brain still thinks the running away idea was a great one, but it's far too late for that.) She looks out silently into the waves, trying to think of what to say.

This was a mistake, she thinks instead. But she's already made it, hasn't she?]

[Charlie supposes she should have panicked or something. She should have been very deeply upset about everything, about suddenly being in this strange place. She should have been more awed by everything she was seeing. She probably should have curiously, inquisitively looked around at everything.

... It wasn't happening. She tried to work the emotions up, but they just weren't there.

So instead of continuing to try for something that wasn't happening, she sat down alone, already exhausted by being in a crowd for this long. A torch was nearby, and she figured that was close enough. Nobody here knew her, nobody would give her those concerned looks if she just sat there and watched the beach, the ocean, the party...it was lively, she supposed.

[ One would never know it by looking at her, all pale skin and light hair with red notes, but Caitlin actually loves the beach. It's one of those things that Ronnie pushed her into, that she'd resisted until finally experiencing it. She hasn't been to one since before the particle accelerator's explosion, though. Not that she's taken any real time off for her. Not that she could.

The invitation that had been shoved under her door is for the beach party, and, at the time, she couldn't help but wonder at the timing of it. September 5th isn't a special day to most people, but for her, it is. It's her birthday, not that she's one to really advertise such things. Her suspicion of the invite waned as the other parties sprung up first: the house party and the party on the mirror side. Still, she looks at today with cautious optimism.

Making her way down to the beach around mid-morning, she's quick to stake out a spot for herself in the copious shade. While she may like the beach, she isn't fond of the sun and what it does to her skin. She has a plain blue sundress layered over her swimsuit, a wide-brimmed hat, and large sunglasses. Though she's grabbed her spot, she isn't going to stay in the shade all day. The point of a party is to socialize, right? She'll be up and out getting food or talking with someone. Maybe she'll even venture out into the water.

Also, she's going to need help getting sunscreen on her back. ]

[ raymond's black swim trunks drip in the sand, and his hair is smoothed back over his head. he points at spots uncovered that caitlin can't actually see. he doesn't grin as wide; this man smirks, he holds back far more than ray ever could. ]

[So they got their ass kicked a few times by people who were way more equipped to FIGHT than them. Big deal! At least one of those times was intentional on their part, and they think they've driven enough wedges into the Real Frisk's manifold relations to be contented for a little while.

They watch games of volleyball at a distance, mingle fleetingly with whoever they deem to be interesting with a bizarre mix of charm and abject boredom.

If you happen to be sensitive to time and see it stuttering here and there, that might be the feel of a small child unapologetically SAVEscumming as they trip someone and watch them faceplant over and over and over, simply for their own amusement.]

Now that Gabriel's been here for a few days, he's had time to adjust to being here instead of back in Medietas. There's still a rather large part of him that would prefer to be back there, but he's handling it.

Not that any of that would be apparent, given his wandering about with a drink in hand and look of amusement firmly in place. There was quite the variety of people here. Including a Lucifer who doesn't quite feel right. Gabriel is happy enough to let him be; the memory of his last meeting with his brother is a few months old, but that doesn't mean he feels entirely up to coping with him.

As a way of entertaining himself, Gabriel just might be making the occasional pack of compys to see who would recognize them. Along with maintaining tight control over their behavior to make sure they don't actually try to kill anyone, mindful of the potential for powers being flicked off.

Kaneki Ken | Tokyo Ghoul | Resident, OTA (will match style)

[It isn't that Kaneki doesn't like the idea of parties as much as that wow, this is a lot of people very quickly and that is not a thing he's much good at. It doesn't help that, so far, the parties have all be indoors, trapping him in with a whole lot of humans (some other kinds of beings, as well, but mostly humans). He's not actually that hungry, but the strong smell of food in an enclosed space makes it difficult to act normally even so.

The beach party seems to be the place to go, under those circumstances. Outside, the smell and noise disperses more easily into the air around and he can relax as much as it's possible to with so many people around.

He supposes he could just avoid the parties altogether and hide in his room, but that seems counterproductive. If there's something more than partying going on--and there always is, in his experience--then being as close to the action as he can comfortably be seems like the best plan. If nothing else, he might get to talk to some interesting people.

After glancing over the food, none of which he has any interest in, he wanders a bit away and he half-trips over a glass bottle. Righting himself, he crouches down to pull it out of the sand and peer at the piece of paper inside. Holding it in one hand, he stands up and heads back toward the party to find a seat where he can take a closer look.]

Alice | Resident....?

[The first pair of shoes to go in the SHOES OPTIONAL basket are Alice's mary janes.

The other parties are fun in their own ways, of course, but this party is so open and peaceful. There's salt in the air, gentle lights, comfy blankets...it's lovely. And there's adventure to be had, games to play, candy to be eaten!

Running around with sand between her toes is so...freeing. And the view is beautiful (though one must wonder how she can see it at all).

Alice can be found all over the place, talking to anyone who will listen to her, eating entire handfuls of candy, trying to start games of volleyball, and napping in a large pile of pillows and blankets.]

[speaking of barefoot children, Mabel comes running up to Alice the second she sees her (abandoning her brother to approach at a more subdued pace as she does so), waving her arms enthusiastically.] Aliiiiice! Alice! Alice! Alice! You made it!

[because somehow she wasn't sure if Alice would be here amidst all these people. it's a lot to take in... not that Alice ever seems to have a problem with that. in fact, this is probably exciting for her.]

[recently some clues to the latest code Wonderland has been throwing out were found in the pool and the ever inventive codebreaking, mystery solving wonder twins took advantage of last year's birthday gift from Regina.

however, Mabel has decided not to let her gift simply rest by being a means of getting clues when there's still a party going on at the beach, so after she and Dipper get what their after, she heads back to the beach, armed with a particular bracelet.

Which is why if you wander too close to the water, you might get splashed by a certain someone flicking a pink fishtail in your general direction and giggling about it. No big deal. Mabel's just a mermaid today.]

[The younger Dipper has wandered off for the time being, back to working on one of the other codes when the older Dipper makes his way into the room. He hasn't... exactly been avoiding the younger versions of himself and Mabel, but it is weird. Was he ever that young?

But when he sees Mabel in the pool with a mermaid tail, he has to approach.

He waits til she pokes her head out of the water til he speaks up.]

...so, are you usually a mermaid, or is this some kind of Wonderland magic thing?

[ On this holy day of beach shenanigans, guess who is face-first in a barrel of gummy worms?



He is older and wiser than Wonderland first saw him. By older, I mean it's 2016 and he's still in a horrible teen body, albeit with a little more muscles and scars (and lovehandles). By wiser, I mean he's figured out that Social Darwinism isn't exactly a healthy mindset for societal progress. Except for that time in the 80s when he was beating off to Reaganomics, but the Cold War was a strange, sad, sexy time for us all.

I mean what.

Accompanying him are, of course, the most missed inhabitants of Wonderland: a pair of feathery dinos. There's Ruth, the horrifying lovechild of Jurassic Park's raptors and a red-feathered Bearded Vultures. She has somehow found a mountain lion carcass and is making a mess of the beach with it. Unfortunately there is also Jackson. He's still an asshole. He is still screaming.

And because the horrorshow isnt over yet, Amirrorca is also lurking around her somewhere, just as America's even more ghastly "new pet" may wander its way out of the depths of hell to join the party.

America is just happy to be at a party with the chance to see friends again and seems absolutely oblivious to the chaos that follows him.

[ look, clarisse doesn't exactly know what the fuck is going on, or why wonderland decided to drag her back now -- honestly, what the hell is she supposed to do here with a baby satyr? -- but if one thing's for sure, it's that she's more than glad to see that stupid familiar food-stuffed face of probably her best friend in this whole crazy bizarro world (which is a totally different thing, she's been informed, but does she really give a shit? not really). has she missed wonderland? hell no. but, you know what, she'll admit she missed america. maybe just a little. even if she never knew she did. whatever. ]

[ if this were any normal reunion, there might be a bone-crushing hug involved (she doesn't do hugs, but maybe she would have, just this once). unfortunately, this is a wonderland reunion, and things are already weird enough as it is. she's got a floating baby satyr on a kiddy leash so he doesn't fly away, because now she's got to be some kind of respectable godmother and coach hedge would definitely kill her if she let anything happen to chuck. that might be more difficult now that wonderland's decided to drag her back for a visit, and probably even more difficult now that america is in her sights and she's grinning like a madman. mostly because she doesn't grin (almost ever, or like a normal person), so of course she looks like a madman. ]

America! [ it's practically a roar, and she waves heartily as she closes the distance between them. let's just ignore the fact that there are dinosaurs, and clarisse has a baby with her who they would gladly eat. ] You bastard, of course you're here. [ which roughly translates to it's good to see you again. ]

By now, Ed's found the important (to him) people although he's still looking for those he knows. Which means showing up at the beach and settling in by an ice chest he can't help but notice periodically refills itself with more beer when he's not looking.

Eventually, he'll want something to eat, but for now, he's happy to slowly work his way through some beers and watch the going ons.

For Samandriel:
After a couple of hours, Ed blinks when he sees someone in red and white striped clothes. Is that? Only one way to find out.

Ed sucks in a breath to make sure to get some volume to make sure he's heard. "Hey, Samandriel!"

He's pretty sure that's right. Definitely the 'Sam' part.

The volume at which Ed speaks doesn't actually matter all that much, but the call does succeed in gaining the angel's attention. He hadn't exactly had any intention of stopping by any of the parties taking place, but... Well, he's trapped in Wonderland again with no idea how long it'll be before he's returned to death, so he may as well make the most of the time he has here...? Or something like that.

Head turning in the direction of the voice, Samandriel spots Ed quickly and offers a faint smile. It's nice to see another familiar face, another person who remembers him, even if they didn't have all that many interactions. He doesn't hesitate in making his approach, offering Ed a nod of familiarity.

"Hello," he greets once he's within a closer range. "It's been quite a while. Did Wonderland bring you back as well, or are you... still here?"
