+ FOURTH WALL EVENT: BEACH PARTY +
Who: E V E R Y O N E
Where: The Beach!
When: Sept 5th to Sept 10th
Rating: G to PG-13 (please label higher ratings, thank you!)
Summary: Are the other parties a little too crowded and chaotic for you? Come and chill by the water! And don't forget to have a look at the Fourth Wall Master Post for event rules, puzzle clues, and more places to mingle!
The Story:

Beginning on September 5th, much of the shoreline will be taken over by a massive beach party! As with all good Wonderland parties, it will be run day and night, always mysteriously tidy and always with food that replenishes itself.
At various points along the beach, there will be wheel barrels full of candy and treats, and torches for people to claim as their own. There are also volleyball nets, and when darkness falls they will light up like Christmas trees for those who want to play well into the night.
There are many places set up to sit - some with tables, some with pillows and blankets, many with shade, and some even dug out in the sand. There is music playing, but the source is unclear.
However, there's one thing that the curious may find - a message in a bottle. It will regenerate within five minutes if taken, allowing as many curious truth-seekers to investigate as possible.

[ Coraline repeats, standing hopefully on her toes and quavering like a broken record as Chloe pours the jar of water out over her face.
There's a moment of holding her breath and hoping so hard that everything will turn out fine from here, and finaly the older girl is smiling and Coraline relaxes a little, holding out the lemonade shyly as a peace offering.]
I brought you a drink, too?
Oh... [ Coraline glances around nervously, at the reminder of not-niceness in their midst.] Yeah, I know, I- (There's some rumors that the Other-People from the mirrorside have been around.)
no subject
Here, we can share.
[She doesn't miss Coraline's hesitation the next time she opens her mouth to talk.]
You what?
no subject
[ Coraline inches a little closer and cups her hands around her mouth this time, to whisper the secret. ] There are Other People from behind the mirrors out on this side. Last time they were here, bad things happened.
no subject
What do you mean Other People? Who are they? What do they look like?
no subject
[ She tries to explain, mouth puckering up in thought as if the lemonade hadn't been sweetened at all. ]
Mine has got buttons for eyes and she acts like the Queen of Heart's boring dolly-daughter. [ She shivers, even though the drink isn't cold enough to give anyone brainfreeze. ] And the others I've met weren't very nice at all. Some of them are jealous we get to live on this side? It gives me the heeby jeebies just thinking about them!

Chloe looks around, trying to find Mirror-Max. She never liked her. She hated the idea of someone who looks like Max but isn't Max. It just felt so wrong. Like the world was trying to fool her, make fun of her.
If what Coraline is saying is true, then Chloe made the right decision of not trusting Mirror-Max. And that she is probably up to no good.
She continues to look around, left and right. Now where could that little freak be?]
no subject
[ Coraline says as if trying to be a reassurance, her voice going lower and a bit gentler as Chloe looks around suspiciously, like maybe she's double checking to be sure her own evil mirror twin isn't making some kind of trouble closeby. ]
no subject
And Chloe's not telling her. She's not gonna tell Coraline that she had just met a Mirror minutes ago. Coraline iss obviously already pretty frightened by the idea of one of those things lurking in Wonderland. And besides, she can handle Mirror-Max herself.
So instead of telling her the truth, Chloe manages to grin.]
Well, that's good to know. The last thing we need is a stupid Mirror going around and wrecking shit.
no subject
[ The girl agrees heartily, even though she thinks her own mirror would sooner content itself to sit in front of the mirrors on the other side and watch the world like a blank-faced, silent zombie watching television.]
Anyway.... can you show me how to spike the ball? I've only played this once, in gym class.
[ Nevermind that she was eager to change the subject and move it away from creepy mirrors. ]
so sorry for the late tag!!!!!
Well, I'm no expert either.
[This time, when she throws the ball, Chloe tries to hit it instead of catching it. There's a loud PAK as her hand comes in contact with the ball; it flies right across the playing field and lands on the other side.
She wipes the sweat off her forehead, then grins at Coraline.]
Just throw and hit. Piece of cake. You ready to give it a shot?
no subject
[ The smaller girl shrugs, scrambling forward to duck under the net and retrieve the ball.... untl they attract a crowd, looks like they might just be stuck getting the hang of serving the ball to each other, for now.
It's less rubbery than the red ball she remembers playing with in gym class... a real volleyball, this time. Coraline does her best imitation of Chloe's preperatory toss...
Then smacks the ball straight into the net, just barely dodging the rebound.
She laughs aloud, embarassed, and bends for the ball again.] Guess I need some serious practice.
no subject
That's fine. It's just that I've had more experience with hitting shit than you, I guess.
[Including people. But whatever. She raises her arms and gestures Coraline to serve again.]
Just aim higher this time.
