Summary: Are the other parties a little too crowded and chaotic for you? Come and chill by the water! And don't forget to have a look at the Fourth Wall Master Post for event rules, puzzle clues, and more places to mingle!
The Story:

Beginning on September 5th, much of the shoreline will be taken over by a massive beach party! As with all good Wonderland parties, it will be run day and night, always mysteriously tidy and always with food that replenishes itself.

At various points along the beach, there will be wheel barrels full of candy and treats, and torches for people to claim as their own. There are also volleyball nets, and when darkness falls they will light up like Christmas trees for those who want to play well into the night.

There are many places set up to sit - some with tables, some with pillows and blankets, many with shade, and some even dug out in the sand. There is music playing, but the source is unclear.

However, there's one thing that the curious may find - a message in a bottle. It will regenerate within five minutes if taken, allowing as many curious truth-seekers to investigate as possible.

[Alice gladly takes Mabel's cue, holding her hands and bouncing with her. She also offers a hand to Dipper in case he wants to join them in their bouncing, but if not then that's his loss.]

Really? That's spectacular! I'm so glad I could be here then! Happy birthday to both of you!

[Alice, being twelve-and-over-one-hundred-fifty, has no qualms against birthdays but has long since forgotten when her own is, so perhaps it's a moot point.]

[Mabel giggles.] Thanks. Have you been to any of the other parties?

[Oh man, what exactly is he supposed to do here? He takes her hand and... doesn't bounce, though his arm goes up and down with them. Is that a good compromise?]

We've been to all of them. There keep being puzzles!

[That's the part that's exciting to Dipper at least.]

No, I haven't, actually! This one is just so cozy and comfortable that I've just stayed here.

[She's actually surprised about the puzzles...for a second. Then she isn't, because of course there are puzzles.]

Hm...I wonder if there are puzzles at this party too?

Are you any good at them? [Mabel jumps at the opportunity to uncover more about Alice.] They're more Dipper's thing, but if we're talking jigsaw puzzles, I'm your girl. There hasn't been any of those yet, which is kinda lame, if you ask me.

Or maps that fold into hats. [He grins and nudges Mabel with his elbow. He might be better at logic puzzles, but she rules at illogical puzzles.]

Hm...jigsaw puzzles are fun, but I think my favorite are riddles! They can have so many correct answers, if you're clever enough. For example...how is a raven like a writing desk?

[Mabel is only good at riddles because she can think laterally, and that's all she has to her name.

But she's stumped on this one. Edgar Allan Poe is not on her reading list because he didn't write enough teen supernatural romances.] Ooh... I've heard this one, but...

Oh, I can figure this out! [Dipper frowns and starts pacing.] Let's see... they both have quills, right? I mean, not that anyone uses quills now, but in theory. Or... Edgar Allen Poe liked both of them? Assuming he wrote on a desk, but he probably would have, right? They're both... made of matter?

[He's definitely close with that last one.]

Or they both stand on sticks! Or because there's a B in both and an N in neither! That's the fun with riddles - if you're clever enough to come up with an answer, then that answer is technically right.

That's what I always say! [and that's why she'd always be allowed in Ravenclaw house if Harry Potter was real.]

So really maybe all the stuff we're doing is just about the friends we made all along the way.

[only Mabel can say that and 100% mean it.]

[Dipper rolls his eyes, cause if Mabel can say that 100% sincerely it's his job to maintain some healthy skepticism about the idea.]

That's... not how riddles work.
