Summary: Today is the 2 year anniversary of the coffee shop, it's time to celebrate in a not!typical way.
The Story:

There was something to be said for distraction sometimes being the best medicine. The past month had been interesting, but it was time to move forward and celebrate a milestone. The coffee shop had been around for 2 years and somehow was still standing after everything. It had gone through a facelift about 5 months ago and was about to go over another baby one to make room for the celebration. The look of the shop hadn't changed, but there was suddenly a locked door to room 16 as of 10/11 that hadn't been there before considering the shop had previously spanned 2 rooms. Posters were placed all over the mansion as well as a digital invitation in the evening of 10/11, announcing the celebration.

As of the 13th, the coffee shop is decked out with streamers, balloons, and confetti to celebrate the 2 year anniversary as well as some festive luau-style drink options to tie into the plans for the evening. The menu features a lot of frozen and chilled options that pair nicely with the party later. As people start to arrive, there are two dressing rooms available with closets for anyone who needs to change as well as a plethora of towels. Drinks are available both in the coffee shop and at the bar in the cinema room, alcoholic and non-alcoholic versions. There's also a wide assortment of food and goodies that come with a little warning about moderation on all fronts while in the tubs. Once everyone's settled in and the movie starts, there'll be a little bottle delivered to each hot tub for the group to decide whether or not they'd like to add some bubbles to their party. First movie of the evening will be a little more family friendly with The Goonies, the second film, Labyrinth, going a little further on the risqué spectrum. Various pool-type toys are available, including beach balls to casually toss at other people or the screen.

I'm overwhelmingly reassured at that. [ She laughs, shaking her head. ] At least I'd have the one friend, then.

[ He's sweet. She tilts her head a little in his direction, smiling. ]

I... Well, I could. It's only that I've never seen anything like this before. [ A room full of 'hot tubs' and people in... bathing suits? And the movie, which will always be a wonder. ] To tell you the truth, we don't, ah... We don't have bathing clothes in Thedas.

[Peter smiles back at her at the sound of her laughter, leaning back, as he lifts an eyebrow.]

Oh. Right, this would be really weird if you've never had hot tubs and swimsuits where you're from. Suddenly, there are a bunch of bubbling tubs, and then people wearing what looks like half of a full outfit. [He slides a hand behind his neck, thinking, about whether or not this means they just didn't go swimming or- er. just went swimming without the swimsuits] It feels nice!

Or so people say, I haven't gotten in yet.

We have hot springs, but... [ This is different. The swimsuits are certainly different, too. ] I'm sure these feel just as nice.

[ She glances around at the setup and then turns to Peter with another little smile. ]

Well, I'm interested in trying it for myself. [ She remarks lightly. ] Can I count on you to be my guide on all things 'hot tub?'

[ If it weren't Robyn, it might sound flirty. As it is, she means it in friendliness, and nudges him playfully. ]

I promise I've actually got a swimsuit, despite my not having worn one before today.

There are definitely different. They're very manufactured, but they do feel nice especially if you're sore. I mean, I haven't been in too many of them...

[Once he went on a trip with his aunt and uncle, and they stayed in a motel that had one, but it's really the only time he can remember. He just didn't have the money for it. He sends her a lopsided smile before he lifts his hand and then salutes her.]

You can count on me.

I will show you all there is to know with my one previous experience under my belt. [The smirk on his face widens even as he clears his throat a bit, because Wow, I'm so awkward sometimes.] So uh, first step is first... we should actually get in our swim suits. I mean I have mine on but shirts aren't usually included.

I imagine it's terribly difficult, sitting in a pool of hot water. [ Robyn badly tries to suppress a grin. ] Thank goodness you're here to show me how it's done.

[ Oh, maybe she just likes his company. It's all in good fun, right? ]

Of course. [ She replies lightly, blinking. ] Ah - Here.

[ Well, no use putting it off, right? This isn't awkward. Nothing is awkward. Lydia had picked out a swimsuit in royal blue which appears as she delicately slips from her clothes and stands there, clearing her throat. ]

... I'm going to be honest, I'm not usually down to... anything like this in a room full of people. [ ... wAIT NO ] Or - That is, anywhere.

It's the most difficult thing anyone can ever do. I mean where in the water do you sit? How do you handle bubbles? What if the bubbles go into the swimsuit? All very complicated. [Peter sends her a lopsided, snarky smile though since he's joking.

He clears his throat from where he stands, shifting on his feet a bit. Nah, being half clothed in a party full of people is not awkward at all.]

Hey, it's not something I'm used to doing either, okay? Hot tub parties are all new territory. I've been in a hot tub before, but that was in the dark without people... just my Uncle. Cause I was 7. [ha.] Like this.

[it's said as he tilts his head to the side, stepping into the hot tub.] You start with one foot, y'see? [Yes, he's teasing to dispel the awkward and make her comfortable.]

[ She hums, amused, at his explanation of all the ways that this activity can go wrong. Never let it be said that the Hero of Ferelden doesn't appreciate a good sense of humor. ]

I imagine that this is a little different. [ Being older and with friends, and all. As he demonstrates, she grins again, stepping in after him, though only with one foot. ]

How am I doing so far?

It's- Yeah, a whole lot different. Back then, I thought the bubbles were really cool, and I wanted to know how it all worked. [He's always liked taking bits apart and then putting them back together. He laughs a little.]

You're a natural. Now, believe it or not, you want the second foot in.

That doesn't sound right. [ She replies dubiously. Even so, she put the second in and nods. ] Ah, I see what you mean. This is much better.

[ Trying not to look too amused, she raises her hands as if to brace him. ]

I hope I'm not being too presumptuous; I'm going to try sitting down next.

[ And she does with a theatrical gasp. ]

Maker's breath, it worked! I'm sitting in a hot tub!

[Peter smirks lopsidedly with amusement in his gaze. He laughs, applauding in the middle of the hot tub in the middle of the hot tub party]

Hey, look at you.

You hardly needed any advice at all. You just took that hot tub down with ease. I'm impressed.

[He sinks down beside her with a sideways smile. He leans over to push the button for the bubbles which start doing their bubbly thing in the heated water.]

I'm quicker than I look. [ She informs him with a sly smile of her own and a quirk of her brow. ] See how fast I've learned to step into the tub?

[ Amazing. Just incredible. ]

It feels fantastic. [ Robyn admits, laughing again. ] Honestly, I may not be able to get out. I don't particularly want to.
