OTA ; Don't Stop, Make it Pop, DJ Blow My Speakers Up
Who: Lucifer Morningstar and OTA
Where: Deux Lux, Floor 6, Room 66
When: Anytime in March
Rating: TBD, probably PG-13 or so
Summary: Lucifer does what he does almost every other night - he has a party. Shenanigans and conversation ensue. This is essentially a catch-all for March for him. Let me know if you want something specific.
The Story:
[Once the drama of New Years dies down and he's drunk the entirely of his bar two or more times, Lucifer finally reopens his club to the public, seemingly no worse for the wear. He's chatted with a few specific people, reflected (marginally) on himself a bit, and has come to several conclusions.
All of which he'll be keeping to himself for the most part.
That said, he seems a bit brighter than even when he first arrived, as if there's a bit of weight off his shoulders, and he's almost less of a businessman and more of a guest in his own place as the nights continue on. He drinks along with everyone else, dances when he pleases, and plays the piano often, lending his singing voice more than occasionally.
Still, a few things weight on his mind that he'll need to take care of, but on the whole, he's quite chipper and easily approaching....or as approachable as the Devil can be.
That said, he's not seen a whole lot outside of his nightclub or his penthouse up the stairs, which means he might be a little more reclusive still than he first appears...]

The sins of the past have been dealt with. The sins of the future are his to punish, as he'll see them as a deliberate slight against him. That includes touching his friends.]
Everyone gets hurt, in one way or another. There's no avoiding it.

( when it comes to matters of the heart, lucifer's stance is clear to her. but sometimes they don't say things they actually feel. sometimes it's the fear talking. )

[He has plenty of scars. Just not ones that people can see.
There aren't many people to whom he would have answered that question this honestly.]

well enough to grasp his is not an easy admission. not one she takes lightly, without making a big show of it, either. elena always finds a comfortable balance. it's why she pushes aside her own lovelorn moroseness long enough to rest her head on his shoulder, tucking her arm underneath his. ) I won't tell.

While I appreciate the sentiment, Bright Eyes, I'm starting to think that perhaps it's not quite the weakness I once believed it to be, considering what I am to gain in return for accepting a bit of vulnerability.
[Friendship.]

( she likes it very much. )

[Again. He has had quite enough of that. But back then, he didn't really know what he was missing.]

alone. )
I don't think there's a worse feeling than feeling alone when there's so many people around you.

[His hand brushes once over her hair before he turns his head to press a kiss against the crown of her head. He squeezes her one more time, a semblance of a hug, before he releases her, his gaze lowering to find her eyes.]
Regardless of my other friendships, so to speak, you must know that I always have your back, yes? That will never change.

( it isn't meant to be so solemn a vow, but that's what it ultimately is. elena gilbert doesn't abandon the people she loves, and for as long as they are both here, she endeavors to keep her promises. it's what makes this whole experience worthwhile: the connections that they make. it's terrible and it's beautiful, how deep she'll sink her claws in.
a curious little smile settles onto her features, elena lifting her chin from his shoulder to look at him properly. she might have an idea of where his attempt at reassurance comes from, and perhaps it's time that elena gives some reassurance of her own. ) Of course I know. What you and I have, no one else can touch it. ( she gives his fingers a light squeeze. ) I understand why you care, Lucifer. ( about klaus. )

After all, the Devil doesn't cry.]
It's a gift that you've even tried to understand me at all, my dear.
[He squeezes back before his expression breaks into his usual grin of mischief.]
Now, I have a club to run and drinks to pour. [He gestures behind her, where Damon is standing.] I think you were headed somewhere anyway, yes?

Wish me luck.
( she's going to need it.
elena gives lucifer's fingers one last squeeze, and then she's moving away, drawing in a steeled breath of preparation as she charges toward her landscape of choice. )
